Testing Journalism's Honesty (A Waste Of Time)

Big Journalism's John Nolte is throwing down the gauntlet before the media and challenging them to release, both, Katie Couric's and Charlie Gibson's interviews with Sarah Palin - in their entirety.

With their most recent undercover video investigations, independent journalists James O’Keefe and Lila Rose have set a new standard of transparency in the field of journalism — a standard I call on all media outlets — print, online, and broadcast — to adopt and to institute immediately. Within hours of releasing what the AP called “heavily edited” video footage of a high-powered NPR executive’s troubling statements with respect to the Tea Party, conservatives, and Jewish control of the media, Mr. O’Keefe then released to the public the full, unedited two-hour video of the entire conversation. Another New Media pioneer, Lila Rose, also released the full video of her undercover investigation of Planned Parenthood.

Because Mr. O’Keefe and Ms. Rose have led the way in journalistic transparency and taken the first step, as a show of good faith  from the MSM in accepting this offer, we call on Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric to release every frame of video involving their 2008 interviews with then Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin.

I don't think they'll bite.

Those interviews are the centerpieces of the "Palin is stupid" meme, and to destroy that would destroy the president's re-election prospects, not to mention the careers of two hero journalists of the Left.

As you're reading this, Gibson and Couric are probably talking about sleeping arrangements with the Wisconsin Democrats hiding out in Illinois.

Forget It, Folks: You'll Never See The JournoList (Because You'll Find The John Edwards Scandal)

I think it's amazing I'm the only person writing this, but, since that's the case, I want to make sure I'm on record - for the second time - for getting it out there:

The year-long John Edwards news blackout is what's in the JournoList.

That's what they're hiding. That's why, though many of it's participants, including it's founder, Ezra Klien, say everyone's taking things out of context - and even though Andrew Breitbart has offered $100,000 for the whole archive - no one has stepped up to reveal it's contents in total. What these slimeballs did (and I can call them that, based on what we've seen already) was a crime against the nation - and they know it. That's why they've clammed up, in unison, except to say we don't know what we're talking about.

Well, like ClimateGate, I know a rat when I see one and our last election was facilitated by a whole ship of them - except now it's on fire and, being out to sea from exposure, there's no escape - they must go down with it. So don't hold your breath waiting for these scumbags to come forward because unless, like ClimateGate, somebody involved finally comes to their senses and decides what happened is so wrong it has to be fully known, they ain't talking. You see, they did it for Obama.

And "The One" must be protected at all times.

The John Edwards Blackout - From JournoList?

As The Daily Caller continues releasing the JournoList e-mails, I'm waiting to see when they'll look into what was happening during one specific period:

The John Edwards affair with Rielle Hunter, during the last presidential election, when Edwards was considered vice presidential material.

As I remember it, that was a year-long news blackout, that left The National Enquirer, alone, to break the story.

Was it coordinated, as the attacks on Sarah Palin were?

If it was, then we've got some serious implications for journalism, and the country.

There are many who are sure the country was snookered during the last election, and I, having returned from living overseas, was also amazed at the way politics was playing out - without the journalistic watchdog I was used to before I left.

I couldn't understand it.

But now we know what was going on - this was collusion - collusion against the American people by the same journalists we trusted to keep us informed.

So come on, Daily Caller, if you've got the dirt, let's have it now:

The American people need to know the whole truth about what the liberal wing of the Fourth Estate was serving us.

Feeding The Beast: It's A Daily Operation

Morning: Breakfast is served.

"If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond? As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would.

But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz (above, center) a producer for National Public Radio (update: Spitz was a producer for NPR affiliate KCRW for the show Left, Right & Center), that isn’t what you’d do at all.

In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would 'Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out' as Limbaugh writhed in torment.

In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. 'I never knew I had this much hate in me,' she wrote. 'But he deserves it.'"

Afternoon: A take-out lunch.

"I made poorly considered remarks about Rush Limbaugh to what I believed was a private email discussion group from my personal email account. As a publicist, I realize more than anyone that is no excuse for irresponsible behavior. I apologize to anyone I may have offended and I regret these comments greatly; they do not reflect the values by which I conduct my life."

Evening: A big dinner with a little light entertainment.
