ROTFLMAO (Without My Very Own Yoga Mat,...)

Jesus, I am so pissed at the Evil Blogger Lady for getting me into this shit:

There's a whole gang of hilarious yoga/India/Hindu/NewAge videos I haven't seen before, and now I'm fucking hooked!

I don't need this right now, EBL!!!

Let me ask you guys again:

When you know an "astrologer" told The Washington Post's Sally Quinn about yoga, and she talked it over with The New York Times' Maureen Dowd, who then recommended Quinn to television news's David Gregory's (and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's) "teacher" - when this is the state of our nation's "leadership" - how does anyone expect anything to work in this country?

And you somehow think - instead of keeping the insanity going - a Mormon's going to fix this problem?

Folks, we've got A MUCH BIGGER PROBLEM THAN JUST MONEY, and these videos are getting at the crux of it - because not only is this the crap our "movers and shakers" are indulging in, but a prime example of the very reason Americans are blowing so much money!!! If they can't even nonsense when they see it, or understand their motivations for throwing money down this "spiritual" black hole - even under the bogus disguise of "exercise" - then how is a Joseph Smith-following, Jesus-is-coming-back-to-Missouri-loving, Pat Robertson-looking, believer in cold fusion going to help us?

And the worst part is, some of you actually think there's a difference between Mormonism and this! Earth to America! Earth to America - listen up:

 It's ALL madness!

Look, pray to your god - whether he's got an elephant head or not - but just be sure you're praying they can get you over whatever the effects of self-delusion are, and as fast as humanly possible:

This is the fucking day!

Victimhood Is Ugly (Too Bad You're All Victims)

Here's a quote from Tunku Varadarajan that jibes quite well with my current observation that, because of other shallow or pointless concerns, people with good ideas get short shrift these days:

"Once you go down the ‘identity’ route, your success as a politician tends to rest more on the weight of numbers—the size of your ethnic constituency, or your racial voting bloc—than on the weight of your ideas."
In other words, amongst idiots, ideas (good or otherwise) don't just speak for themselves. In today's climate, you can be brilliant - have all the answers - and nobody gives a shit, unless you're kissing the proper ass or already have a following.

Einstein would be a nobody today.

Another example is from a New York Times economics story, about a guy named Edward Hugh, that opens with this:

"For years, almost nobody paid attention to the sky-is-falling alarms of Edward Hugh, a gregarious British blogger and self-taught economist who repeatedly predicted that the euro zone could not survive.

Living a largely hand-to-mouth existence here on his part-time teacher’s salary, he sent one post after another into the Internet wilderness. It was the height of policy folly, he warned, to think that aging, penny-pinching Germans could successfully coexist under one currency umbrella with the more youthful, credit-card-wielding Irish, Greeks and Spaniards who shared the euro with them.

But now that the European sovereign debt crisis is rattling world markets, driving the euro lower almost every day and raising doubts about the future of the monetary union, his voluminous musings have become a must-read for an influential and growing global audience, including policy makers in the White House."
Get it? It's just like Jr. High:

Something has to start falling apart before the popular kids will ever entertain they could be wrong - and then, and only then, will they let someone else have a whack at it. We're surrounded by fools. And we wonder why the world, today, always seems to be teetering on the brink of disaster.

I'd like to also point out that Mr. Hugh is "gregarious" - not a sourpuss or angry - but nobody would pay him the time of day (or one thin dime) until they needed to, though he knew more than others did, all along. This man - the one with an accurate view of the world - was "living a largely hand-to-mouth existence" while the dumbshits (who probably made all the problems he's now being asked how to remedy) were feasting quite nicely, thank you.

This is our world.

This is why I call people stupid. There's no other word for it. People will say they're looking for answers - to any number of things - but, really, what they're looking for is their own self-aggrandizement. Problem-solving comes second.

So what kind of ideas do make the cut? Well, as I pointed out, The Washington Post's Sally Quinn talks to astrologers - while she writes a religion column for the paper. All perfectly acceptable in the year 2010.

So acceptable, she can mention it to The New York Times' Maureen Dowd and Dowd doesn't immediately run home and type out a column saying Sally Quinn is nuts for believing in a totally debunked idea (like they did when it was Nancy Reagan) but, instead, tells Quinn that NBC reporter David Gregory and President Obamas' Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, are involved in a stupid 5,000 year old Indian spiritual practice brought to America by a con man. Again:

All perfectly acceptable activities for the powerful opinion makers, and others in control of the United States, in the year 2010.

Brad Pitt is pretty big on telling the rest of us how to live as well. And why shouldn't he, when he's only the adulterous fan of the cult leader, Ken Wilber - along with the adulterous Bill Clinton - and Pitt also consults a psychic? Say it with me:

All perfectly acceptable in the year 2010.

What's not acceptable in 2010 is to point out this is all crazy. That the rich and powerful of this country have taken leave of their senses, and their decisions - which are affecting (infecting?) the rest of us, negatively, in all sorts of ways - reflect it.

Take San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom - please! - he cheated with his campaign manager/best friend's wife, dated a Scientologist, was married by a psychic, and has destroyed the economy of The City, and what is the result? People want him to run for Lieutenant Governor! And don't you dare, in the year 2010, say anything against it. You'll be laughed out of the room.

And, by the way, Mayor Newsom is a big Lady Gaga fan (even after she admitted her music sucks) and Lady Gaga is,...oh, never mind.

Decide: Either You're With TMR Or Against TMR

If you're living within the old paradigm, then you're missing it: I'm part of the new paradigm. Maybe even it's leader: educated atheist minority artists, probably conservative, who could give a shit about your obsession with racism - we care about other things.

We see the world differently.

Accurate quote:
"The Democrats have a problem. They also have another problem, which is that they don't know what their problem is."
Another accurate quote:
"Today politics appears a shrivelled and flaccid affair,...there are no political principles at stake, no political leaders or parties worthy of the name. All is small and narrow and petty."
O.K. - here we go:

I'm losing interest in the Instapundit for being so out-of-step. ("Woman Says Citibank Fired Her Because She Was Too Hot." Who cares?) Reynolds once dissed Hip-Hop on his blog and that's just how I see him: one of those non-racist people who still said it's not music as it took over the world anyway.

I know he doesn't link to me, because he doesn't like my style, but fuck him - I won't kiss his ass: he's a gatekeeper, not anybody's judge. What he does with his power is unfair and wrong; his "community" myopic. I'm not spreading look-at-it-this-way-or-that opinion - I'm right as Rush - and, until he recognizes it, he's what we in South Central, Los Angeles, call an educated fool.

End sermon.

Actually, no, here's an example of the very-real phenomena (NewAge) Reynolds isn't addressing - that drives a lot of our world and makes the news daily - within our politics, and elsewhere:

"Move over Chris Matthews, here comes Sir Paul McCartney.

Matthews has been unceremoniously knocked off the Fawning Obama Perch by a more high profile fawn.

Before 'The Won' lets the message go to his Messianic head, McCartney has followed one cult or another his entire life.

First came the Beatles’ adulation of the late Guru Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the 'Giggling Guru', so named for his high-pitched laughter during television interviews.

About the levitating guru of Transcendental Meditation fame,  McCartney once said: 'We made a mistake.  We thought there was more to him than there was.  He’s human.  We thought at first that he wasn’t.'

The same could be said about Guru Obama.

In later years, McCartney, like his friend Prince Charles, went organic and vegetarian and was once appalled when a buckshot-touting farmer in response to being reminded who McCartney was, blurted out: 'I don’t give a damn who you are, get off my land.'"
And there it is: baby boomer cultism, as the gateway to our society's obsessions with environmentalism, organics, vegetarianism, multiculturalism (AKA "race") meditation, yoga, and a whole lot more. Most importantly, our politics.

From Al Qaeda and Hamas to various figures in this Vanity Fair piece - including people like Rahm Emanuel:

"After an astrologer told Sally that Quinn would benefit from yoga, she had lunch with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, who recommended her own teacher, Pary, whose students included David Gregory and Rahm Emanuel."
That's right:

An astrologer told the Washington Post's Sally Quinn about yoga, who talked it over with The New York Times' Maureen Dowd, and she recommended television's David Gregory and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel's "teacher".

It certainly was a big deal when it was Nancy Reagan. And Hillary Clinton, too, who's now Secretary of State.

All these "movers and shakers" (who move and shake our lives with their, regularly idiotic and simply wrong-headed, take on things) all involved in one form or another of cultism. And not a word from the Instapundit on what kind of effect that has on our information stream.

Cultism is the unspoken lubricant that's greasing our society's fucked-up workings. And, until Reynolds starts addressing cultism, in American society and the Western World, his blog reads clueless.

From a review of Sex and the City2 - tell me this ain't weird, and the result of cultism:
"Samantha's vagina is doing fine. She rubs yams on it, okay? She takes 48 vagina vitamins a day."
Where'd she learn that from? Who told her that was smart? Why is it in a feminist movie? Who's directing our thinking out there? Especially if astrologers and yogis are instructing the likes of Sally Quinn, Maureen Dowd, David Gregory and Rahm Emanuel?

Look at this:

"Most of the people who graduated in the 60's, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can't get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.

The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years,...Most of it is done by Americans to Americans thanks to lack of moral standards,...exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. ...he will refuse to believe it.... That's the tragedy of the situation of demoralization."
Professor Reynolds, seriously, in light of the Vanity Fair quote, isn't cultism a better explanation for the weirdness that's happening, than what you're guessing at, daily?

With Oprah Winfrey - purveyor of The Secret and wackjob "spiritual" online Eckhart Tolle seminars - choosing our president. Are you, or are you not, missing a huge cultural/social/political story?

I think you are.

"Faster, please."

Ha: No One Has Any Idea Why We Talk Like This

"Maybe Rahm Emanuel is guilty of disloyalty, but he might be the only thing keeping Obama tethered to the reality-based community.

The president is surrounded by acolytes of the Cult of Obama. They consider him to be a 'transformational figure' who need not sully himself with the usual rules of politics. The president agrees, rejecting suggestions that he recalibrate his Olympian ambitions.

That’s not me saying that, nor one of my knuckle-dragging, baby-eating right-wing brethren. It’s Dana Milbank, the liberal
Washington Post writer widely seen by most conservatives as Maureen Dowd in drag.

Milbank wrote a column on February 21 arguing that all the president’s problems can be attributed to a single factor. 'Obama’s first year fell apart in large part because he didn’t follow his chief of staff’s advice on crucial matters,' writes Milbank, referring to Rahm Emanuel, apparently the only senior staffer who hasn’t drunk the Obama Kool-Aid."
-- Jonah Goldberg, almost causing me to call The NewAge Language Police - it's a crime when someone rational openly talks like this and no one arrests Oprah - but I decided to let a cooler head prevail, and instead merely filed this report, on behalf of The National Review.

Nobody's Perfect, I Guess

"We had been encouraged a year ago by Mr. Obama's selection of Illinois Congressman Rahm Emanuel as his chief of staff because we thought he would have learned from the Clinton failure of 1993-1994 and knew enough to stand up to the Congressional left. How wrong we were. Mr. Emanuel and his boss have instead deferred to Congress's liberal barons on every major domestic policy." -- The Wall Street Journal
Yea, I did the exact same thing, thinking the Progressive Democrat's "enforcer" was going to be all that. (It only lasted for a day, not long.) People forget, as they attack me now:

I try to give Democrats any credit I can when I think they deserve it.

It does no good. Instead, to some I'll always be Mr. Right-Wing Nutcase (Black Division) because I wanted, and expected *someone* to be an adult, amongst the so-called adults, over on the Left.

My Bad. I shoulda known better.

I'm so ashamed,...

Shut Up

"Yesterday, at a rally for R. Creigh Deeds in Virginia, President Obama said: 'I don't want the folks who created the mess do a lot of talking. I want them to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking.'

For Barack Obama, democracy appears to be a distraction. He really does seem to view himself as a Caesar.

Shortly after taking office, Obama held a meeting with governors. At the time, one person in the room relayed Obama's request that critics and skeptics of the stimulus plan keep their concerns to themselves. Just let me do it, was his attitude. He got pushback and he wasn't happy. He wanted democratically elected state governors to shut up so he could do as he pleased. He knows better and we should respect that, seems to be the attitude.
."
-- Kathryn Jean Lopez, relaying the liberal message far and wide - SHUT UP - for The National Review.

And Glenn Reynolds adds:
"What would the reaction be if a Republican President said this?"
To which I reply, "You don't want to know,...but let's find out."

Your Real President

…Emanuel acknowledged to reporters Thursday that some might question the administration's early competence.

"Some may call it amateur hour," Emanuel said, but he thinks -- given Obama's accomplishments so far -- that the current administration measures up well to the Clinton administration, in which Emanuel worked as a senior adviser from 1993 to 1998.

But Bardella says Emanuel's notorious brand of brass-knuckles politics has contributed to Obama stumbling out of the gate.

"I think what you're seeing is what happens when the rhetoric of your campaign clashes with how you decide to run your operation," he said, claiming that Obama has failed to govern from the center by politicizing the West Wing.

"You do not pick Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff without knowing what kind of politics he will bring in the West Wing."

Emanuel's combative style as political director in the early days of the Clinton administration earned him the nickname "Rahmbo," after the flame-throwing movie character Rambo.

He was elected to Congress in 2002 and quickly became a major power. He wound up overseeing the party's House election efforts in 2006 and helped win a majority for Democrats through tireless fundraising and candidate recruitment…

-FOX News

With the so called stimulus bill rammed (or Rahmmed) down our throats, without a hint of the campaign promise Obama made to allow everyone to see these thing prior to voting, the country seems speeding towards some sort of permanent damage. NO ONE who voted for this bill, either way, has read it.

Joseph Nigro: On The Washington Press Corps

Watching President Bush’s last press conference highlighted (again) the infantile, thumb sucking mentality of many alleged “journalists” who, wondrously, continue to dismantle their own profession.

But rather than explain to some why President Bush hasn’t personally been rebuilding houses in New Orleans (or other cry-baby drivel), it’s seems more interesting to note the psychological make up of the players.

First, there was only one alpha male and Man in the room, Man being defined as a higher order of male than simply physical gender, and that was George W. Bush. Clearly he believes in his country and its well being, and acted to protect and preserve the United States without the excuses or the apology the MSM seems to want to extract from him. He is a man of convictions and purpose, and unlike the liberal left, has a working conscience.

Next there were the males. Not men, merely males. Coming across as sissies and whiners, as if they were raised by over-bearing, man-hating mothers and absent fathers, and therefore were taught it was bad to be a Man. So instead they became metro-sexual, sensitive little weenies who bristle in the presence of alpha males, as it threatens their denial and exposes their inadequacies.

These types of confused twerps also make up the bulk of NewAge males, who will go along with whatever they think over-bearing man-haters would approve of. They have no convictions, frequently demonstrate cowardice, become girlfriends to their girlfriends and wives (who tolerate them only because they can control them), and still call their mommies to come over and change a light bulb or wipe their snotty little noses because they don’t know how.

And don’t confuse their Obama leg-humping fever with having convictions. It isn’t even close to rational or sane to bestow worship on someone who has yet to do anything at all. In their defense, it must be difficult being emasculated.

The females, well, when they’re not looking for new ways to castrate anything that comes close to a male, they find these truly disturbing events to bring to our attention.

Such as Margaret Carlson, who devoted four paragraphs in a commentary on Bloomberg.com about Bush not turning over Blair House to Obama a few days early. She never raises the question about the request itself being out of line or even possible, but does take us on a trip through her imagination where she magically knows Bush was thwarting her very own Obama just for kicks.

Sorry Margaret, the train wreck is you. And if you want to prove the part of the title of your book “Anyone Can Grow Up”, you might start with yourself. In the meantime, if any hard decisions need to be made for the country, we’ll call you first.

So there is the reason for Obama-mania: Obama is an appeaser and a pleaser. He’s not an alpha male, so he’s not a threat to the feminized MSM or the NewAgers. The only alpha male on the horizon is Rahm Emanuel, and he comes with a sock puppet that makes Chris Matthews, the world’s tallest kindergartner, lose control of one of his legs.

The sisification of this country is, and should be, alarming.
