Let's Get All Caught-Up: This Blog"s Right (And It's The World That's Wrong) #1

(The radio host ripped the Green Bay Packers quarterback for lying about his COVID vaccine status)

Where to begin? If you want to pull back the curtain, “Howard Stern” is the obvious choice, because - not only does his name open the damn thing - but TMR wrote of him as a member of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s Transcendental Meditation cult (as well as Howard’s personal fall-out from all that) going all the way back to 2008.

Plus, this headline is from The Huffington Post, which (also in 2008) TMR noted was “
A Warehouse For Wackos”. Why give (cult leader Arianna Huffington's) "HuffPo" that title - all the way back in 2008? It wasn't just because other cult members, like Howard Stern, appeared in it. Here’s the direct quote - from “a cancer surgeon and NIH-funded cancer investigator” - that instigated my actions:

“Within three weeks of its formation, I had noticed a very disturbing aspect of the Huffington Post, and that was that it appeared to be providing a major soapbox for antivaccinationists,..."

Emphasis mine. So, what were you thinking about in 2008? What about now? Or what are you being told to think? Or how to think it? The links, above, are just a bit of evidence (real world proof) that The Crack Emcee's head was screwed-on tight, waaay before everyone else's - because The NewAge Movement has never fooled TMR - not even when filtered through the Howard Stern's of the world. And, they don't have to fool anyone else, either. Just keep reading - and pass it along to someone else: I'm breaking it all down, now, right here (To Be cont'd,...).

Making Mean Marinating Metaphysical Martyrdom Matter

Where's a NewAger to demand someone "move on" when you need one?

Playing the fucking victim. This all reminds me of when Brian Epstein died while The Beatles were with the Maharishi:

But - whether you're a Democrat or a Republican - that's the culture you swim in, and support, now.

About as loving as you can get,....

Meditation: If We All Do Nothing, Something Will Happen

I can't see picking on this poor guy any longer, when - after his rarely-mentioned stint with the Maharishi - he's spread their cultish thoughts and tactics so thoroughly, almost every Westerner uses them as a way of life. I mean, considering their political track record, this is the Right-Wing law professor network's argument in a nutshell - up-to-and-including "peddling questionable remedies" as they go:

"It’s a time-honored custom that when a scientist is caught out saying something stupid or wrong, he responds not by defending his ideas or admitting error, but by flaunting his credentials.  'Look at all my degrees, publications, and honors,' he says. 'Does that not give me credibility?'

But science doesn’t work that way.  Scientists don’t defer to authority and credentials: we defer to the quality of one’s arguments and the evidence that backs them up.

Sadly, Deepak Chopra hasn’t learned this lesson.  Although he began life as a respected physician, he went off the rails when he encountered holistic, ayurvedic, and 'alternative' medicine (the last is synonymous with 'quackery'), and now he makes millions peddling questionable remedies and phony wisdom to credulous New Agers."

Who kill, deceive, destroy lives, yada, yada, yada. But nobody cares, until it's them, or because it's not (yet) so - from this day forward - all you can do is isolate yourself as best you can, from their glorious ethics-less future, because operators are standing by.

"For entertainment purposes only" of course,...

Bad News

Here's the media's current "crazy" black Republican candidate:

But here's the media's knowledgable NewAge Master:

And here's the man the media wants you to forget:

So, I guess - when it comes to the media - "crazy" it is,...

I'm The Indian Escaping At The End Of "Cuckoo's Nest"

This is a gun.

If you're not crazy, they're all kinds of cool.

If you are crazy, we've got a problem.

How do I define "crazy"?

That's where I'm faced with a dilemma.

See, I live in a culture that encourages people not to concede to the rational - like believing a man who walked on water watches over our lives, and may even talk to us.

Is that crazy?

Then there's the idea certain humans possess magical powers, say of redemption, like Westerners did Bob Dylan and The Beatles, and like The Beatles did the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi from the East, in turn.

Was that crazy?

Our lives are overflowing with asinine ideas people still insist on - including discredited ones.

Is letting that happen crazy?

We're not the rest of the world.

Americans are supposed to be different.

We're supposed to be stripping away the fraud that defines the hardships of other people's lives.

Instead, we treat it as a show.

In such a culture, the military couldn't stop the Washington shooter for being crazy, any more than society can stop Jenny McCarthy - who's killed way more people - using different means.

Even with a diagnosis of schizophrenia, the shooter's beliefs are no stranger than hers, or many others.

This is our culture.

They call it the NewAge and, as a society, it's "the path" they've chosen.

The one that says the Washington shooter deserved to die and Jenny McCarthy is a star of television and publishing - despite being identical in beliefs, actions, and crimes.

 That's how I define crazy.

And, I think, things will start to work out again - and fewer people will die - once we commit ourselves to curing it,...

Nobody's Talking - Or Saw Anything (Everything's Fine)

Ha-ha! Like a fish to honey, I think I done found me another book to read:
My 1970s California childhood was filled with violent faiths and death cults in a decade feeling the hangover of the Summer of Love and suffering the fallout of the nuclear family. I was five when Charles Manson was sentenced to life for the murders committed by his Family of former hippies, pretty girls whose minds had been opened and broken. I was in Junior High when the bodies were discovered in Jonestown, the jungle commune in Guyana where Reverend Jim Jones had hoped to build a new Eden. I will never forget the shape of them, lying flat and embracing, all having drunk poison punch at his command. I wondered how it was possible to have such faith, such all-consuming, passionate awful faith that you would follow such a leader, however charismatic he was.
The history of American faith is filled with charismatic leaders, eager to change the world and to destroy it. In a nation founded by religious radicals in search of freedom, we are raised to believe and raised to protect the right to believe at all costs. The faithful pushed their wagons into the empty west, missionaries and prophets spreading the word, building utopian societies with a violent certainty. The Mormon pioneers irrigated and settled an uninhabitable land of salt lakes. Their communal, utopian church would split over the practice of polygamy, which stood in opposition to the government and statehood. The recent raids on the fundamentalist Mormon Yearning for Zion Ranch of Warren Jeffs in Texas reminds us of the history of secret societies, with young women in pioneer dresses, trapped in cycles generations old, of men who must have multiple wives to attain the highest levels of heaven, a tenet of faith revealed by the founder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Joseph Smith.
In a post-war world, our faiths have turned darker and deadlier. We have grabbed hold of our freedom with both hands. Urbanization has led to isolation, to a rootless people in search of connection, estranged from the families that might have cautioned them or saved them. New cults formed in cities with followers drawn to a range of new gurus, Sun Myung Moon, Mahareshi Mahesh Yogi, “Fathers” Yod and David “Moses” Berg, Werner Erhard and his Est. All have been accused of a range of abuses, sexual, physical, mental, financial. Groups were made through abduction and maintained through brainwashing. New Age communes developed on the fringes, where charismatic men gathered harems and drugs provided the only escape.

And now - after all that - I'm supposed to accept the rest of these fools didn't also get a heavy cultural dose of the Kool-Aid, when it's remnants, in various forms, are all around for anyone to plainly see? They must be joking! The West walked into it willingly:

"I Felt A Tremendous Opening In My Head" (I'll Say,...)

Jesus, did I hit the NewAge motherlode, or what? An online copy of the entire movie, Aliens from Spaceship Earth? Are you joking? I'M THE MAN!

No, seriously, people are paying good money to see this shit, as it makes it's way around the alternative film circuit, while some of the cool kids hope it's cult-infused message will remind us:
This breakthrough in consciousness gave birth to the highly enlightened era known as [the] 80s. There’s similar stuff brewing these days--let’s hope we do a better job this time around.
"There’s similar stuff brewing these days"? Where? Sez who? Spell it out, man! The suspense is killing me,...

Anyway, The '70's Division is all here - the conmen Indian "gurus," including (the late-pedophile) Sai Baba, plus fire walking (the same sorry schtick Tony Robbins uses) and a bunch of hippies - including our narrator, the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi devotee, Donovan - who keep dissing science while telling us something big was is going to happen, if only we'd start keep doing ridiculously dumb shit (that could never possibly work) to make it so. And goddammit be defiant about it.

Yes, as far as TMR is concerned, Aliens from Spaceship Earth Is the cinematic equivalent of a gigantic brain freeze - until the deprogrammers step in. (STEP IN! STEP IN! HEEELLLLLLLP!) Full cult critic disclosure:

I'm going to need my exercise hand grips, and something to bite down upon, just to get through it all.

Either that, or call some friends to help me go totally A Clockwork Orange on it.

But I got it - I landed one of NewAge's white whales. And to tell you the truth, right about now, I'm feeling pretty darned good about myself for it.

Which is great.

Because I know - after I watch this sucker - I'm going to grow so infuriatingly depressed, about the empty space between the ears of humanity, I'll probably never look another owner of a zodiac sign in the eye again, my head will be hanging so low,...

Blogging With One Eye Open (And It Ain't My Third,...)

Have you ever really listened to this song? Jesus, it's creepy - and dumb. The fool's leaving his wife (you only "leave" your wife, you "break-up" with your girlfriend) because he's "easy"? I ask you: Is this entire tune some asshole using a euphemism for getting a little on the side? What really killed me was this line:

"I wanna be high, so high - I wanna be free to know the things I do are right,…"

Well, shit, leaving those you're intimate with will accomplish that, won't it, you selfish douchebag? No chance of being judged as despicable then, is it? No, dick-for-brains, you're freeeeee!

And all this is laid over a breezy arrangement to make it sound reasonable - even attractive. Thanks, Lionel, you faggot-assed-faggot. Which, somehow, brings me to another disturbing thought:

Boomers, turning this country over to a(nother) cult as they leave the stage, was as inevitable as we were told Romney's nomination was.

We shouldn't expect them to do anything reasonable. (Haven't I told you they're Nazis in disguise?) They can't help themselves. They've been drawn to cults and cultish thinking since the Maharishi first giggled at them, and why would anyone expect them to change now? (This is called self-criticism, y'all.) All we can do is watch as America becomes John Edwards, just like four years ago, "believing" it's in love with a(nother) NewAge kook, to finally reveal it's true self - a walking, talking, gullible-fucking-embarrassment to all right-thinking people. Blind as fucking bats.

Glenn Reynolds, still playing The World's Biggest Hypocrite, linked to this article:

Which, if we swung it back to InstaBigot, would reveal a message that he would approve:

We might not be able to handle the truth on Mormons, so let’s not be “nosy"

Neither candidate has economic plan, says Fox News poll

Madness. Then why elect a cultist because he's supposedly good with the economics?

Because you got trapped into it.

Especially when it gives Yours Truly a chance to say "I told you so."

Goodnight, Peeps, I'm done,...
