Racism Vs. Bipolar Disorder: Which Sickness Will Win?

"I Will Gladly Beat the Shit Out of Him"

BTW - don't forget I devoted a lyric about DMX's driving misfortunes in my 2002 song "I Am (The Crack Emcee)":

I think I'm the only one who has, and it's brought me a lot of joy,…

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

I know - it's got to be some crazy kind of WWF stuff - but still, that's doing it right:

Now compare the degree of knowledge you've been receiving "up in here," TMR readers, with our friends at Legal Insurrection:

The leaders of conservatism, or the blogosphere - which is even worse. There is no one reading this, if they've been with TMR a while, who can or will say that.

Because TMR adds actual value to your lives,…

"Colorblind" White People (Who Talk About Race All The Time) Don't Like It When Blacks Join The Conversation

"I had to hold my head down and could not make contact with the white masters. I heard the instructor ask kids behind me to open their mouths so their teeth could be checked. Some were asked to jump up and down."

The loyalty blacks have to their church also has proven costly, said officials at Faith Communities Today, a nonprofit based in Hartford, Conn. A 2013 study revealed that black churches have collected more than $420 billion in tithes and donations nationwide since 1980, an average of $252 million a week. “What people fail to see and understand is that, the church pastors aren’t waiting for miracles to fund their lifestyles, they don’t have to pray, day in and day out, to make their ends meet,” said Northwest resident and author, Byron Woulard. “They are getting rich off God, not from God,” he said.

DMX Is Evidence That Gods Do Still Walk The Earth,...

Why does TMR love DMX? Because he's DMX

First of all, the nigga got three letters for a name. Do you have three letters for a name? Wouldn't you feel like there's some letters missing? Not DMX. This is the man who once caused a three-car accident - with one of 'em being a patrol car - and it never fazed him. Because he still makes good records. But forget all that - what's my man's latest, greatest, Triumph Of The Will

Getting caught running around - with no draws on - in a hotel.

Did I mention he still makes good records?

Keith Moon would be proud,...

Uh-Oh: White Folks Making Rap Look Bad Again

Brawl Mars DMV Music Awards Outside Washington: MyFoxDC.com

This was the scene at Washington, DC's DMV Music Awards, which sent one person to the hospital. First Question Of The Day:

Why is the Department of Motor Vehicles hosting a Hip-Hop awards show?

We would've thought that trouble the brain-dead rapper DMX got into a while back would've told them something. (That incident was so stupid we even put it in our own Rap song.) Sigh.

We really don't know what to say about this, considering the whole everybody-played-for-Gaddafi thing, except that, if Yoshi's Jazz club in San Francisco is still planning on finally hosting Rap concerts (something they never even considered when we were performing with our buddy, Kevin Carnes, and The Broun Fellinis) they'd better move the tables further away from the stage.

Just sayin'.

In The Tank/In The Pocket: Out The Box

So it's Saturday night, and I'm totally chill after a day of sleeping and blogging, sleeping and blogging. Nothing else - I didn't do another damn thing all day. I barely even ate. (It gets like that when I can't get my "homeopathic" divorce out of my mind.) Anyway, I decided to see what's going on with a bunch of sites I don't visit as often: you know, sites by my friends and stuff, when I ran across this hilarious interview on the blog of (my friend who's grown to hate my conservatism) Ernest Hardy. It's with the crazy-assed rapper, DMX, and it just cracked me up! Check this shit out:

Are you following the presidential race?

Not at all.

You’re not? You know there’s a Black guy running, Barack Obama and then there’s Hillary Clinton.

His name is Barack?!

Barack Obama, yeah.

Barack?!

Barack.

What the fuck is a Barack?! Barack Obama. Where he from, Africa?

Yeah, his dad is from Kenya.

Barack Obama?

Yeah.

What the fuck?! That ain’t no fuckin’ name, yo. That ain’t that nigga’s name. You can’t be serious. Barack Obama. Get the fuck outta here.

You’re telling me you haven’t heard about him before.

I ain’t really paying much attention.

I mean, it’s pretty big if a Black…

Wow, Barack! The nigga’s name is Barack. Barack? Nigga named Barack Obama. What the fuck, man?! Is he serious? That ain’t his fuckin’ name. Ima tell this nigga when I see him, “Stop that bullshit. Stop that bullshit” [laughs] “That ain’t your fuckin’ name.” Your momma ain’t name you no damn Barack.

So you’re not following the race. You can’t vote right?

Nope.

Is that why you’re not following it?

No, because it’s just—it doesn’t matter. They’re gonna do what they’re gonna do. It doesn’t really make a difference. These are the last years.
O.K., I'll stop there. Anytime somebody goes into that stupid "end times" bullshit they've basically put dibs on the title of "crazy" and lose me. Not that I thought DMX was sane anyway (I can barely listen to his shit) but that portion of the interview was classic:
"Barack?"
See, if black people weren't bullshitting this election, that's how they'd all be reacting to Obama. With a name like that, and one look at what the "community organizer" has actually done for black people, and he'd be locked out. But they're buying the bullshit, and are totally down now, just waiting to suffer the inevitable loss to come - which they'll blame on white people - because white people were actually paying attention. Crazy shit.

But so it goes in America: land of the don't-want-to-be free and home of the mental slaves - forever.

So fuck it. I'm depressed anyway. Play on, brothers: I'm going back to sleep. See y'all tomorrow.
