She only responds to flattery - and Jim is full of it 

 It's not a new thing, Jane asking Jim Crow to dance for white's amusement, though - white's feminism or not - they're still doing that same quick (but graceless) cross-toe step, they insist it'll take decades of black performing "geniuses" to undo:

Later, this became a white guy with his ballcap backwards, wearing oversized shorts and saying "Wassaaaap?" 

 Whites laugh and celebrate the aesthetic injustice, clapping their broken beat that confuses black performers, while perfectly matching the grotesque and cynical movements they prefer onstage:

  ...The officers who interviewed Wilson immediately after the shooting did not tape the conversations,...an investigator from the medical examiner’s office opted not to take measurements at the crime scene and arrived there believing that what happened between Brown and Wilson was 'self-explanatory.’”

Jim says TMR's a "hate" site for not standing with those who like this kind of "humor" 

 Somebody says "justice" and the mob roars it's approval, assured by American "law professors" and grand juries alike there's no such thing, and so none need worry: they can party all night - as loudly as they want - under white supremacy, there's nothing to stop them:

 They'll sway to give thanks for black's lives of misfortune - whether they've "missed fortune" or "miss fortune" brings guffaws - the point being there's nothing funny at all:

Nothing funny about white folks dancing, without any sense of rhythm, to jealously mock blacks for having it - along with a street-level real-world understanding of whites and what makes them tick:

So the prosecutor’s questions should have been obvious, “Did you not like Mike Brown? Did you have a vendetta against Mike Brown?” Those are the sorts of questions that you’re supposed to learn to ask in law school—if not by watching Law & Order— they’re like a trial lawyers’ ABCs. “That’s just the beginning of what the prosecutors could have done but didn’t do.”

"I don't think like this - I just vote with the guy!"

The recent push by the GOP in many states to force a form of voter ID as well as reduce voting hours has rightfully been described by many as a modern version of the poll tax, which was declared unconstitutional in 1966,…Poll analyst Nate Silver determined that ID laws could reduce voter turnout by 2.4 percent, a margin that might sway close races toward Republicans. U.S. Circuit Judge Richard Posner, who was appointed by Ronald Reagan, said that such ID laws exist only to “discourage voting by persons likely to vote against the party responsible for imposing the burdens.” 

The same problem exists when the voting hours are reduced because wage-workers and single parents have less time to vote. And that’s the point, however un-American and anti-democracy: to keep voters away who may vote against you. This deliberate act to sabotage the democratic election process is worse than anything ISIS could do and yet we not only permit it, we vote people who support it into positions of power. 

Proponents of the voter ID law often admit that the studies prove voter fraud is extremely rare. So, they counter by saying, as did Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia Pat Mullins, and Secretary of State of New Mexico Dianna Duran, “One is too many.” Would they agree that “one is too many” when discussing innocents who might have been executed by the death penalty? Would they agree that “one is too many” when advocates of gun control site statistics of children accidentally killed by guns at home? Does “one is too many” only apply when restricting the votes of the poor and minorities?

No, it also applies to how many evasions whites will make, eventually, to avoid dealing with - and especially paying - this nation's moral debts,...

Why "Act Like White People" Is Really Bad Advice

White disregard, of the pain whites cause blacks, starts young

Ann and Meade - and their white readers - have repeatedly said to act like white people, but I don't listen to them:

To suggest, as both scholars and the media have, that the violence experienced by all-black or all-brown neighborhoods today stems in large part from their residential isolation is problematic for other reasons as well. It leads some to suspect that if people of color simply spent more time with white people, lived next to them, and went to school with them, they would be less violent—they would perhaps learn better ways to resolve disputes and deal with stress and anger. Again, though, history belies this logic. 

White Americans also have a long history of violence—not only when asked to share residential space with African Americans or even to treat them as equals in schools or on the job, but also when nary a person of color is near. From the lynching of blacks in the Jim Crow era to the crimes committed against African Americans every time they tried to move onto a white block after World War Iand World War II, ugly incidents of white violence were both regular and unremarkable. Even among those who look just like them, whites historically have engaged in a variety of violent behaviors that would make many shudder—from their propensity to engage in brutal duels and to “eye gouge” their fellow whites in the decades before the Civil War, to their involvement in mass shootings in more recent years.

That they don't deserve our respect? That they don't deserve to be thought of as decent Americans? That they're simply unethical liars? 

Or how about they're typical white people, doing what typical white people do to anyone they can, and that's why America engaged in slavery and Jim Crow and racism against blacks (even though it knew it was wrong) and is still so screwed up? 

Personally, under white supremacy's Drudge-dominated mediasphere, roll 'em all into one and I'd say you're onto something,...

Where Can Blacks Go To Escape Racism In America?

Feminism, like American justice, only seems to have an influence for some

Ann Althouse recently admonished me to "take responsibility" for entering a racist state. I thought it was a particularly cruel thing to say because, unfortunately, I had just spent all my money doing just that - by leaving Oregon:

 “This city is not as liberal as it thinks it is,” he said. “You have a strong progressive element but there are still strains of the old system of institutional racism in Portland. You don’t just get rid of that.”

Oregon has an inglorious history of racial prejudice, including a clause in its constitution barring African Americans from living in the state. A law passed in the 1850s required black people to be “lashed” once a year, to encourage them to leave. Until the late 1950s, Portland real estate brokers abided by an industry code under which they refused to sell houses in white neighbourhoods to African Americans.

“There’s a historical context that Portland even though it was a northwestern city, it was very segregated,” said Haynes. “In the 20s and 30s, the [Ku Klux] Klan pretty much controlled the city council here. A lot of the housing laws were Jim Crow.”

Politicians, like American justice, only seem to work for some

But Oregon, like everywhere else that discriminates against us, still collected black's taxes - which the whites spent. TMR's conclusion:
