Whites Haven't Been This Desperate And Determined To Throw Restrictions On Voting Since Jim Crow (Where The Racist Idea Started)

This woman on television is the cultural equivalent to meeting a gangsta at the ATM

I'll give Elisabeth Hasselbeck's ahistorical re-endorsement of the racist KKK-era voting "tests" this much:

Elections DO become "more meaningful" to blacks whenever whites have tried taking our vote away.

And unfortunately for everyone, Americans everywhere, resurrecting this particular bit o' history also reminds us - quite precisely I'd say - of what kind of evil, conniving, little undemocratic moles whites still are.

There's no disconnecting this, from the hooded guys, Folks.

Who is continually "finding themselves" back in this same, sick, racist place - trying the same, sick, racist scheme - while expecting blacks to forget everything whites have done and just eat it?

Really - good luck with THAT one,...

Putting Flowers In Guns Isn't Going To Work This Time

The vultures are circling, just as we knew they eventually would, seeing how we've had such important things to attend to:
At dinner the other night, perusing the debacle that is Syria, a German friend observed: “It’s the post-American world — and that means chaos.” We were joined by John Kornblum, the former U.S. ambassador to Germany, whose verdict was similar: “What you’re seeing is the steady break-up of the postwar system.”…

The sight of a president who draws a red line on chemical attack and then says “I didn’t set a red line” (the world did); who has Kerry plead a powerful case for military action only to stall; who defers to Congress but seems happy enough with Congress ambling back into session more than a week later; who notes that for “nearly seven decades the United States has been the anchor of global security,” and then declares “America is not the world’s policeman” — the sight of all this has marked a moment when America signaled an inward turn that leaves the world anchorless…
In Berlin, which survived as a free city because of a U.S. red line, the change has been noted. It has also been noted in Tehran, Moscow, Beijing and Jerusalem.

That's O.K., we'll handle it like we always do - our concern:

With all the stress this is going to cause, it's imperative yoga take off immediately,...

I guess all those years on Arrested Development didn't teach him anything,..

You Can Be Black (But Must Be The Right Kind)

We'll let Hot Air explain this clusterfuck:
Civil Rights Icon John Lewis, admitting he didn’t know the facts of the case, proceeded to defend Charlie Rangel against his ethics violations by dredging up Rangel’s involvement in the Civil Rights movement. I guess the facts of the case or rather the actual ethics violations themselves don’t matter to John Lewis if you are one of his friends. Yet Allen West says that while he was being viciously attacked during his recent campaign, having his social security number mailed to all of his constituents and being accused of being a member of an all white motorcycle gang, that John Lewis came down and campaigned against him, supporting the man who was playing the race card and egregiously smearing him. West sees this as duplicitous and asks if instead of defending Charlie Rangel, Lewis should have stood on character.

West also has strong words for the Congressional Black Caucus that he criticizes for ‘preaching victimization and dependency’ while supporting ‘liberal social welfare policies that are failing in the black community’.
With Barack Obama in office, especially, a lot of blacks are having a hard time knowing who or what is in their interest - and who or what ain't - here's a hint:

Anyone who proved he was a disaster specifically for black people, before he got into office, probably wasn't a good choice for blacks to follow and pledge undying support.

So now comes Allen West, a former military man from Florida who's not likely to maw-maw any kind of black (or white) line, but to do what's right based on what'll get results. Will black people take a real look at him? Or will they, as the CBC is doing, recoil from criticism merely because that's what it is? Honestly, we don't know. But we'll tell our fellow blacks this much, before they start the (expected) "Uncle Tom" talk - or as Barack (and the rest of the usual suspects) sink the country even further in debt - which will always hurt those at the bottom first:

It's only your friends who will tell you.

Barack "Hypocrite" Obama*

"Surreal,...the guy who was against the war every step of the way, including the surge, pays tribute to Iraqi independence in the aftermath of Saddam,...fine by me."
-- Allah Pundit, who seems happy - while I can barely keep my food down - listening to all this Hot Air.

*And don't leave out the Democratic Party, the French (I could tell you stories) and anyone else who was against seeing this moment become real. I knew that "war is sacrifice" going in, but this one - surely - took it's toll, on the battlefield and personally, so I get no pleasure sharing this victory with anyone but George W. Bush, the now-free Iraqi people, and my fellow veterans and patriots. The rest of you pussy crybabies can go suck an egg, because that's all you've been these last eight years: One giant rotten fucking egg.

In case you haven't noticed, I've lost all respect for your kind. You faggots have been the worst American farts in history, for sure, and for shame. We didn't lose the war, as you always said, but you definitely lost me - and I'm never coming back.

Who's Keeping Women Down Again?

"So-called feminists stand on the sidelines like so many Silda Spitzers or Elizabeth Edwardses or Hillary Clintons, standing by their menfolk while the boys treat women like dirt. Heck, Mrs. Edwards even served as her husband’s attack dog against any critic — even as she knew he was sleeping with his mistress of many years.

Consider the lack of any reaction by the left to David Letterman’s crude remark that Gov. Palin is buying make-up for that 'slutty flight attendant look' insulted not just her but every woman. How could any woman respect such a man?

And yet the left said nothing."

-- Don Surber, somehow thinking, after all these years, he's going to get somewhere with this thing he does, just because he's Don Surber.

Shouldn't There Be Little Pocket Books At Borders Detailing These Kinds Of Things?

"From the president’s new speech,...entitled, 'Two Pillars of a New Foundation.'

'I have spoken repeatedly of the need to lay a new foundation for lasting prosperity; a foundation that will support good jobs and rising incomes; a foundation for economic growth where we no longer rely on excessive debt and reckless risk - but instead on skilled workers and sound investments to lead the world in the industries of the 21st century.

Two pillars of this new foundation are clean energy and health care.'

Does Obama know that pillars rest on top of foundations, not the other way around? If George W. Bush said something like this, we’d never hear the end of it."

To No, No, No Him Is To Love, Love, Love Him

"The Obama administration has embraced many of the same positions that liberals and Obama himself criticized during the Bush administration,...Despite his blatant departure from some of the most important progressive issues that defined his campaign, most liberals remain quite pleased with Obama's performance."

You're Doing A Great Job, Brownie (Or "It Was Just My Imagination - Runnin' Away With Me")

"'After the steaming piles of pseudoscience flew right and left, the skeptics in attendance asked our questions: what bacteria cause this? Why would doctors cover up a cure for cancer? What studies have you done? Where were they published? How long have you followed your patients? Are you a doctor? We asked far more questions than the rest of the audience combined, even though they outnumbered us six or seven times. I doubt that Randi, Dennis, Brad, Don and I were the only ones skeptical of his claims - but we were the only ones voicing that skepticism.

Dowling did not have our answers. After claiming to have published studies, after claiming a 100% cure rate, after calling himself a doctor, he said that he had the proof. And when we asked for it, we got dodgy answers, evasions, and even the confession that he was not in fact a doctor. Of course, he was only a few semesters away from a medical degree in the Caribbean.

This is not surprising. What is surprising is the cultish, exploitative manner in which Dowling operates. In order to get the cure for cancer, you have to jump through a lot of expensive hoops.'

Actually, there is nothing at all surprising about the cultish exploitive manner in which Dowling operates."

-- Orac, joining Masala Skeptic in, once again, dropping "the 'c' word" on a lying leftist - but, like Bill Clinton, the big baby won't get into seriously tackling Liberal NewAge cultism as an issue (even though they're in power and "they outnumbered us six or seven times") because (get this:) those attacks are "partisan" - but - since he's the perfect example of the kind of doctor NewAge cultists want to convert, exploit or eliminate - O-boy's still giving it a cowardly dallop of face-saving Respectful Insolence.

Go figure.

A Total Nightmare

"As to the perception that we’re hateful, a lot of Republicans need to get something through their heads: as long as you disagree with the Left on anything, they are going to call you hateful. They’re going to accuse you of hating black people, Hispanics, gays, women, and the poor. Then, to top it all off, they’ll say you want the sick and the old to die in the streets. Just look at John McCain. The man spent eight years savagely attacking his own side to get in the good graces of the liberals in the mainstream media and they loved him for it — until the moment he became the Republican nominee. Then he instantly 'changed' and became an unprincipled, senile old bigot, just like every other Republican they’ve ever seen. So Republicans need to stop engaging in the fantasy that they’re ever going to win over the mainstream media. They may applaud for a moment, as long as you’re doing something helpful to their cause or hurting your own. But in the end, you’re just another damn, dirty Republican to them."

Is Everyone In The Left-Wing Media A Hypocrite?

CNN's Susan Roesgen went nuts on the air Wednesday at a Chicago tea party, blaming everything (accurately) on Fox News. But maybe she was angry because Fox turned her down for a job—twice!

Roesgen got snippy with a crazy interviewee while trying to cover the tea partiers, and the crowd turned on her. "I think you get the general tenor of this," she said. "It's anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."

Back in 2005, though, according to a Fox News source, Roesgen really wanted to work for that right-wing conservative network. She sent a tape of her on-air work to Fox's then-programming chief Kevin Magee in January 2005, and followed up with another reel to Magee's successor Bill Shine in September 2005. Needless to say, she didn't get the gig.

Roesgen didn't respond to an e-mail request for comment...

There's NOTHING Like Democrats In Charge: They Clean Up The Corruption - By Going To Jail

“Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted ‘tea party’ protests yesterday, labeling the activities ‘despicable’ and ’shameful.’”

-- The Briefing Room

“The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee. Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21.”

Bwwwaaa-Haaa-Haaa-Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha!! Whew!

"Three dead pirates do not a military campaign or strategy or doctrine make, and Obama despite the tough talk has yet to demonstrate that he is willing to hunt pirates down. In fact, news reports indicate the dithering has already begun. Never mind that. I just want to say I’m thrilled with the handwringing, Kumbayah-singing, peacenik left’s new enthusiasm for swift, extra-judicial 7.62 justice by executive order, and the lack of calls for human rights investigations, prosecutions,  etc.

Welcome aboard, David Neiwert!

Ahoy there, American Prospect!

Shiver me timbers, Alan Colmes, ye scurvy dog!

Damn the torpedoes, Daily Kos!

Full speed ahead! They have not yet begun to fight, but we might be getting somewhere. I suppose someone somewhere must be squawking about how Obama is just making new pirates, why pirates hate us, pirates’ constitutional right to habeas blah blah blah. But if all the people now holding our world hostage can by lefty standards be subjected to summary execution, Obama’s national security staff needs to start working up a hit list. Let’s hear it for all newly bloodthirsty lefties, me hearties, urging Obama on in righteous swashbuckling battle!"

The Perfect Guy To Explain "The Power Of Myth"

"Memories are short in Washington, and Mr. Moyers has gone on to promote himself as a political moralist, routinely sermonizing about what he claims are abuses of power by his ideological enemies."

-- J. Edgar Moyers, on the now-open hypocrisy of another of PBS's regular NewAge liars, at The Wall Street Journal.

One Question: When Did They Ever Have A Soul?

How NewAge Works: Only The Open-Minded Can Determine Which Discussions Will Stay Closed

"A student is suing Los Angeles City College over an incident in which a professor refused to let him finish a speech against gay marriage, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Student Jonathan Lopez told the Times that the professor, John Matteson, called him a 'fascist bastard' and refused to let him finish his speech during a public speaking class last November, weeks after California voters approved Proposition 8 banning gay marriage."

The Cult Of Obama Idiots (Who Just Don't Care)

The hypocrisy, selfishness, and immaturity just drips from their lips. These have to be the least self-aware voters in the history of American elections. It's like the more we hear the less they know. Such a huge wave of cultish tribalism, attached to a clear lack of patriotism, is honestly an amazing thing to behold.

Just shameful.

It's Just Further Proof Bush Was An Idiot, Right?

"Obama bumped his head Monday morning when boarding Marine One on the White House's south lawn. He misjudged,...and banged his head on the low doorway."

-- The Associated Press
