I Can't Think Of A Reason To Keep An Eye On Germans

It looks like John Kerry's said something I agree with:
"'Spying on allies is not unusual': John Kerry hits back at claim US bugged 38 foreign embassies as Angela Merkel brands it 'unacceptable'"
Credit where credit is due but, really, is there any adult who doesn't know this? Merkel's giving us the same fake NSA outrage we see over here (Thanks, Guys).
These fools don't know they can be watched? Never heard of the CIA? The FBI? You know those files on John Lennon? MLK? Hello! Do you think we're playing?
Yes "we" - we're a country, Numb Nuts.

It's childish. So below us it's laughable - and embarrassing:

Just look at Kerry's long face,...

Like A Rolling Stone (Or A InstaCult Marketing Business)

I'm almost positive John Lennon's airy Watching The Wheels lyric ("Well I tell them there's no problems - only solutions") is one origin of, the "progressive" corporate fetish for, advertising that exact jargon's what they provide. Some NewAge con artist, somewhere (or, considering who we're talking about, probably a group or groups of them) included the late atheist's phrase in his/their "spiritual" retreats or seminars or teachings or whatever - many mandatorily attended by corporate employees for decades - and now I'll never hear the end of it. Pretty Polly:
"The messianic thing has to do with the world of mankind, like it is. This world is scheduled to go for 7,000 years. Six thousand years of this, where man has his way, and 1,000 years when God has his way. Just like a week. Six days work, one day rest. The last thousand years is called the Messianic Age. Messiah will rule. He is, was, and will be about God—doing God’s business. Drought, famine, war, murder, theft, earthquake, and all other evil things will be no more. No more disease. That’s all of this world.
There will be a run on godliness, just like now there’s a run on refrigerators, headphones, and fishing gear. It’s going to be a matter of survival. People are going to be running to find out about God, and who are they going to run to? They’re gonna run to the Jews, ’cause the Jews wrote the book, and you know what? The Jews ain’t gonna know. They’re too busy in the fur business and in the pawn shops and in sending their kids to some atheist school. They’re too busy doing all that stuff to know."
I predict, in the future, there's going to be a Serious Frown Line Epidemic from reading this stuff,...

It's All God's Doing - Until It Ain't (Then It's You & Satan)

What did John Lennon say? "All I want is some truth"? Well, with these morons, that's asking too much, so we get fed a steady diet of harmful religious and "spiritual" gobbledegook instead.

That, my friends, is "God's Plan" and the con men are sticking to it,...

TMR's Post-Election Twinky Defense Of Ann Romney's Homeopathy Use: I'm Hiding An Affair With My Arrogant Biographer After Attacking Israel For Pagan Rave Music (And - If I Had A Wife - Nobody'd Really Care Anyway,...)

[All the Blogger-brutalized links have been fixed - thank you kindly, Lem.]

It's no accident I feel like John Lennon these days, trying to coax Mia Farrow's sister out of her NewAge stupor with "Dear Prudence." So many folks can get really deep into their delusion:

“Accepting Christian belief makes one a Christian, no matter what one calls oneself"
-- Reuven Hammer, having sects with me, in The Jerusalem Post.

May I add, accepting cult belief makes one a cultist, no matter what one calls oneself? That, say, a Tom Cruise, Mitt Romney, Ann Althouse, or Glenn Reynolds, can deny it until the cows come home, but it's what they espouse and promote that determine the call - not their denials?

Why yes, I may - I think I may indeed.

I mean, are those four people mentioned above opposing the Temple of Witchcraft, or are they standing for and defending (in order) following a con man, following a con man (occultism and self delusion), conspiracy theories and quackery? Seriously:

Take away the trappings - and their denials - and what makes them different from Glenn Beck?

And - no matter how near or far they are from the truth - I still love that everyone's denying everything. Further - if Romney's "Gifts" Remark Ignores His Own Fatal Flaw - why aren't his supporters also getting hammered? It was they who decided not to vet the man. Now they want to talk, like they and their cockamamy strategy had nothing to do with his loss.

I've accepted my role and responsibility, but they don't have to? Incredible logic there.

But I know the game - reality's working - so no, none of this is an accident at all.

Nor does it bother me:

Tie Up Your Boobs (We're All Going To Die)

Scientists discover ‘real-world’ ecstasy use is more dangerous than lab tests:
For a glimpse into real-world drug use, Australian researchers went to parties where people were using a drug known as ecstasy - and discovered that users' brains were at far more risk from the drug than anyone had suspected.

The researchers also found that ecstasy pills often contain a variety of other drugs.
Jim Carrey Got a Really Stupid Haircut:
Jim Carrey, that nearly forgotten relic of the '90s, tried to improve his image and box office relevance by getting himself a new haircut. It's not working.

Carrey's wide mohawk is not the sort of haircut that an adult Canadian should be sporting, at least not one like Jim Carrey.
Well, now that he's done killing babies with Jenny McCarthy, maybe it's the best he can do,...

John Lennon's letters to be published by Little, Brown:
The letters of John Lennon will be published in October 2012 by Little, Brown, the publisher announced Friday. "The Lennon Letters" have been compiled in cooperation with Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow. It's the first time she has given permission for a selection of his letters to be published.

Editing the book and writing its introduction is Hunter Davies, the official Beatles biographer, who has tapped Ono's own archives as well as tracked down correspondence from Lennon that is in the hands of collectors, dealers and the original intended recipients.

In the release about "The Lennon Letters," the publisher points out that Lennon, who died in 1980, never had a chance to convert to email.
Also, there's one letter already out there, and a Beatle business book on the way.

Monty Python? Most of the time it wasn't funny, says Terry Jones:
"Some burst out laughing at the mere mention of a dead parrot. Others find Monty Python’s surreal humour merely, well, silly.

But now those who have never quite got the joke have found an ally in the shape of one of the stars behind the cult comedy.

Terry Jones has confessed that he ‘only occasionally found Python funny’.

Jones, 69, added: ‘I used to watch in trepidation at things that didn’t work wondering if no one would laugh.’

When asked if it was a ‘cop out’ to fill in the gaps between comedy sketches with cartoons, he admitted: ‘Yes.'"
Theatre Review: We're All Going To Die!:
The perky refrains in the freaky existential cabaret written and performed by the playwright Young Jean Lee are probably not going to be squeaked out by Britney Spears, wailed by Mariah Carey or even bellowed by the freak-flag-waving Lady Gaga anytime soon.
And all I can say is "Thank goodness for that!"
