"As Evil As Anything Hitler Had Ever Done" (AKA The Very Best Of Care)

Homeopath takes charge of King Charles’ health

"He works with Christian healers and prescribes goat weed for impotence: Dr Michael Dixon looks after the health of the British royal family. Scientists are appalled.

King Charles has appointed a homeopathy advocate as head of the royal medical household and has been heavily criticised by scientists. They call the decision worrying and inappropriate, as reported by the Guardian, among others. Dr Michael Dixon, who promotes faith healing and herbalism in his work as a general practitioner, has quietly held the senior position for a year, writes the Sunday Times. Although 71-year-old Dixon is head of the royal medical household, this is the first time that this role has not been combined with that of a doctor to the monarch. His duties include taking overall responsibility for the health of the King and the entire royal family – and also representing them in discussions with the government. He once invited a Christian healer into his practice to treat chronically ill patients. He also experimented with prescribing devil’s claw for shoulder pain and goat’s weed for impotence, reports the Sunday Times."

Reasons White Supremacist America's The Greatest II

Ann Althouse complaining, to the proper authorities, about blacks showing "male privilege"

What can be said about a people and a place (the U.S. is not a country) that celebrates murdering black teens for "obstructing traffic" as it "employed and protected at least 1,000 Nazis"?

Or, during WWII, joined Joseph Stalin while lynching blacks?

What can honestly be said? I'll tell you:

Whites have Hannibal Lecter's ethical underpinnings,...

White Americans Want The Same Thing Communists Did And Will Insist It's Our Common Cultural Heritage

"And so it was necessary to teach people not to think and make judgements. To compel them to see the non-existent, and to argue the opposite of what was obvious to everyone."

 - Boris Pasternak, Dr. Zhivago

With this background, it doesn't surprise me white Christian America partnered with Stalin to fight Hitler, as they were also lynching blacks back home with no outcry.

America's love for the NewAge, today, fits in quite nicely as well,...

Stalin Killed Them - They Loved Him (What's Changed?)

I started watching a documentary on the Russian Revolution last night - don't ask why, I just did - and that led to the one above on Stalin, today. (O.K., I'm attempting to stop doing something I shouldn't - which has driven me to eating this crazy-sweet, multi-colored kid's candy - which has made me hyper with "big thoughts," fueling a need to know everything - so sue me,...)

Anyway, I'm watching this thing, and it occurred to me that people - not just Russian people but all people - have been pretty much the same throughout history:

They get told things from the top, and "believe" them, and only decades later does the truth come out - which they could've investigated for themselves - or realized by refusing to "believe" things in the first place because, you know, there was mass murder, or something, going on all around them.

It woulda got my attention.

On the Left, they "believe" we have to re-elect Mr. Spend-It-All (AKA Mr. Spend-What-We-Don't-Have) or else we - that would be, specifically, black people - are going to end up "back in chains."

On the Right, it's "believed" two men with a weakness for cults are somehow going to set us free.

And no matter which way I look - like a scary child attempting to cross a busy intersection - their "followers" seem to be in love (or falling in love) with them, completely oblivious to the dangers.

And that's the way they are because that's the way they want to be.

It explains religion anyway.

It's taking me a while - I've spread it over several nights because it's so achingly liberal - but I've also been watching "Selling God" (trailer above) which is really unfortunate for whoever left a flyer on my doorstep asking:

"Do you know that if you died today, you would go to Heaven?
If you could know for sure, would you do what the Bible says?"

Of course, getting to Heaven would depend on me doing whatever the fine folks with the flyers say, and - since I'm already hyped-up on glow-in-the-dark sweets and Russian dictators - that would never sit with me. Plus, putting a probe on Mars has blown the "Heaven" concept, probably forever more.

Shit, speaking of my aversion to liberals, here's a troubling question:

Why is Jon Stewart more likable, now that the Republicans have ensured I can't vote? I'm seeing his clips and they no longer hold the revulsion they used to, and I think it's because - in a climate where everyone's determined not to tell the truth - listening to a fake newscaster is all that remains for me.

(There's something very Soviet Union-y about this whole set-up.)

That's what I'm thinking anyway,...

Yes, Even After Seeing That Winning Smile, No

"If Joseph Stalin were to come back to life and start molesting kulak children and the Church of Scientology releases a statement denouncing him on such grounds as this, it would be appropriate to take the Church’s side on this one. In most other instances, though, it is safer to assume that the ridiculous cult is conducting itself in the manner of a ridiculous cult,..."
-- Barrett Brown, clearing up a major problem for me - I couldn't imagine any instance, previously, where I'd find myself siding with the cultish creeps - but now, upon reflection, I have to agree: if Stalin re-emerges from the dead, I'll just have to give in to the True/Slant.

Tell It To The Taliban (Then Call Me)

"The fact that in 2009 we’re still unable to separate facts from fiction is mind-boggling."

-- Nina Khrushcheva, the great granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev, flabbergasted that Russians are attempting to gloss over Stalin's crimes - I mean we're talking about one BIG OL' OBVIOUS LIE there - just as I'm "Well I'll be damned,..." about a lot of things (Hint, hint, hint: Look up - Look UP!) when I read about 'em in The New York Times.

Being An Artist Means Bravery - Not Slavery

"When I first saw the Obama Joker poster on my block in April I tried to read the website featured in the upper right-hand corner, but it was too pixilated to decipher. Is anonymity part of the artist's message? Possibly. However, if anonymity is not a part of the message, can you blame the artist for wanting to remain anonymous given the irrational and racially-charged criticism the poster has received?

I find it hard to believe that the Obama Joker creator is the only serious detractor (assuming that it is a critical commentary) within the art community. And I'm sure the incendiary criticism will keep others from creating similar images. But regardless of political affiliation, the art community must embrace all rational dissenters. Art must not exclusively serve the interests of any presidential administration.

It's time for the art community to return to its historical role in political affairs, which means speaking to power, not on behalf of it. Which leads me to the second case where art enters politics on a mass scale. The power of art, in combination with the suppression of free speech or a free press, has been used as a tool by authoritarian governments to control their citizens. From Hitler, Stalin, and Mao to Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong Il, art has been used to deify leaders while preserving the position of the ruling class. Most artists would not want to be referred to as tools of the state, but in the case of Obama's administration, that's exactly what they've been so far. "

The Democratic Party: From KKK To Saying O.K.

"In the U.S., the Democratic Party, home of the modern left-liberal, was the party of slavery and Jim Crow.

The most racially charged political campaign in recent U.S. history was the Democratic primary contest between Obama and Hillary Clinton. The racism of the left is far more insidious than a simple mistrust or fear of foreigners; it seeks to divide people into groups which can then be exploited and played against each other for political gain.

...Those prepared to use violence in the furtherance of core left-wing aims such as the destruction of capitalism, the abolition of property rights, and the usurpation of democratically elected governments by 'enlightened' revolutionaries number in the millions, if not the tens of millions.

They range from Hitler, Stalin, and Pol Pot to present-day dictators like Chavez and the Castros, terrorist groups such as Bill Ayers’ Weather Underground and the Baader-Meinhof gang, and environmental extremists and anti-capitalist rioters,....

The reasons why violence is so prevalent on the left go to the heart of the differences between left and right. If you take race, religion, and other 'human' factors out of the equation, the distinction is really between authoritarianism and collectivism on the left and freedom and individualism on the right. There’s no doubt which is the more attractive option for most people, all things being equal, which is why the left has to blur the distinctions and muddle the language.

This distinction is summed up in two quotes from great figures in British political history. The first, by Winston Churchill, goes something like this: 'Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.' (There are several versions of the quote, and variations have been attributed to other political figures.)

The second, by Margaret Thatcher: 'The facts of life are conservative.'"

Indecent People Who Don't Exist (Are Talking)

"As a career politician, he has been required by his profession to face opponents and defeat them if he wants to get his way. Division is what politicians do. He's got to know this, even if his blissed-out followers don't.

...Obama's theatrical gift is such that his listeners seldom pause to think about what he's saying. He communicates through a kind of subverbal music, half-heard and absorbed rather than cogitated on.

...You will note too that he declares his contempt for a politics that pits Republicans against Democrats. Republicans pitted against Democrats? Horrifying. Please make it stop.

And of course Obama's chief pledge is to make it stop. He'll be elected and unity will ensue. But how? It goes without saying that the easiest way to unify the country is to eliminate those elements within it that make trouble for the unifier. Stalinists and Nazis were terrific at unifying countries,...but in dealing with the wayward elements, he has other options. He can declare that the nonunifiers are philosophically or morally indecent. Or he can pretend they don't exist.

Obama does both,..."
-- Andrew Ferguson, on the Obama fantasy (of unity) his cultish supporters have lulled themselves into believing is real, when the opposite is The Weekly Standard.

Enjoy this moment, people - savour it - because it ain't lasting long, and is already being (quickly) followed by:

But It's So Well-Written,...

“Just imagine the world picture of somebody whose primary — or even (God forbid!) sole — source of news is the New York Times.”
-- Bruce Bawer, making my disgust meter go into the "red," by asking me to contemplate the New York Times' previous love for Hitler and Stalin - and it's current infatuation for fascistic NewAge beliefs of all kinds - for Pajamas Media.

(Still Pondering) Rebirth Control

I'm building up a serious resilience with people.

Having seen the worst, I "get" no one's pure.

These scared little things, proving words aren't really worth much.

And expect mine won't be worth any more.

No surprise they produced Hitler; Stalin, or Pol Pot.

Please. Like Osama, they're par for the course.

And what about you, Oh enlightened lover, of artistry, music, and all that's divine?

Initiated any office intrigue, lately?

Plotted on anyone for not going along?

Cheated with anyone, married, just lately?

Yes, it was their fault, they just should've known.

It's like tending to flowers, each refusing to open.

Except when there's sex and you're talking about legs.

I get a kick how they hope they'll be reincarnated.

To come back as something more beautiful than before.
