Leading "A Cult Of One" Is Fine (Since I'm Not In Yours)

These fools keep sprinkling this shit out, in bits-and-pieces, while TMR has been comprehensive about it from the start - here's the latest admission:

Naomi Wolf’s New Book About Her Vagina 

It’s as ludicrous as you think it is. 

I doubt the most brilliant novelist in the world could have created a more skewering satire of Naomi Wolf’s career than her latest book, Vagina: A Biography. One the most prominent feminists in the country writes about her failure to see Technicolor after having sex—“the colors were just colors—they did not pulsate after lovemaking anymore”? And her subsequent painful spinal operation that restored the “pulsating colors”? A book in which she calls the vagina “the goddess” and has the revelation that the vagina “is a gateway to, and medium of, female self-knowledge and consciousness themselves”? It would be hard to write a parody more effective, more sublime, than this. 

But to back up: The very public story of how Naomi Wolf went from a bright, promising Rhodes Scholar to this inventive variety of navel-gazer tells us some uncomfortable things about the culture and more specifically, the media. There is a way in which bookers on television shows, consumers of magazines, publicists, television viewers, blockbuster book buyers, and Amazon reviewers are implicated in what Naomi Wolf has become.

Do I have to go over it all again? Naomi Wolf? Feminism? Vaginas? Anything featuring the word "Goddess"? A culture out of it's collective mind - or "consciousness" as the case may be? Really?

Am I the only person in the Western world who's focused on The NewAge Movement and has said - clearly, openly, and loudly - this is the problem with us now? This is why nothing is working out? This is why we can't move forward? This is why, even when we try to "do the right thing," we're doing the wrong thing - just like in the movie?

Oh sure, these other folks will laugh about "Gaia," or whatever, but how many are putting all this NewAge nonsense together - and nailing the whole thing? Anybody? Or rather, anybody ELSE?

Is anybody else tripping as we prop up cultists as media mavens? I mean, specifically because we're propping up cultists as media mavens? How about as elected officials? Leaders in "medicine"? Is there anyone else looking at our entire culture, square in the eye, and seeing it's mad?

No - these other folks will say something about this, and then say something about that, leaving everyone to think the whole is fine,…except for this occasional blip on the screen that's out of whack. Sorry, kids, but it's ALL OUT OF WHACK and I've told you why - repeatedly.

Even people we're sold as rock-solid are completely fucking bonkers, like Glen Reynolds promoting Lucid Dreaming, or absolutely ANYBODY behind Mitt Jesus-Is-Returning-To-Missouri Romney. 

You're all fucking crazy.

I'm posting this so people can see the kinds of things Boomers say to me all-the-time - constantly projecting a dark Left-wing nuttiness that (because of the Baby Boom's over-whelming numbers) can make me wonder about the safety of the nation - and sleep with some kind of protection nearby.

These Boomers are out of their fucking minds, and there's apparently no way to stop their self-feeding nightmares. They just insist their delusions are the way it is, and then go back to their comfortable lives of wine and cheese parties, without acknowledging any cognitive dissonance at all. Not only that but, if anyone challenges them on it, they'll immediately fly into a rage to enforce their "perspective".

They get especially angry at me because (of course - guilt trip alert:) they're feeling this way, and spewing this nonsense, on my behalf - because (guess what?) I'm black! And, as we all know, I suffer under a constant barrage of racism that's assaulting me, on a minute-by-minute basis, under President Bush's rule. An assertion that, if you think about it, is somehow racist in itself. (BTW - big shout out to Michael Amos: way to oppress me, man!)

I see the situation, and these Boomers, this way: they are the surviving dregs of the 60's, and since they've had about 40 years to let their mad hippie delusions fester, little by little - as they die off - things will get better. The rest of us have got to just hang in there, watching our backs, and protecting the republic until the fever passes (or they do) or they get too old to be truly harmful to anyone but themselves.

It's either that or wait for them to do something really stupid that forces the entire nation into, somehow, re-restraining 'em - through some kind of Chicago '68 action - so (since the rest of us just want to get on with our lives while, somehow, sharing the same space) they will once again get the message - loud and clear - that the rabid dog routine can't be tolerated any longer.

I don't know. That was already tried 40 years ago and, clearly, it didn't take.

Anyway, there it is: another decent demonstration of the craziness that regularly inflicts itself on my life, care of Erica Jong. It attacks all of our lives, really. It's what's ruining our culture, and our country, too.

O.K., Naomi says earth tones are "reassuring" (where'd she get that from?) and, now, Al is wearing brown and he's all fired up for yours truly to "save the planet" - if I don't do as he says, I'm crazy, right? So, my hippie-dippy nature-loving friends, what in the world could this one lone city-dwelling nigga have for you to combat that shit?

Well, though I was born and raised in California, I've lived in, and studied, Europe - really studied it - and, heavens to Betsy, I read. So, prepare to get your minds blown, assholes:

* p. 9: The four significant social reform groups of this era were: Wandervogel (free spirit/migrating bird); Naturmenschen (natural men); Lebensreform (life reform); and Monte Verita (mountain of truth), the community at Ascona, Switzerland; a precursor to Esalen in Big Sur, California.

* p. 61: The people of Ascona refused eggs, milk, meat, salt and alcohol. Nature cure was a powerful idea in the German mind, and was a widespread and profound rebellion against science and professionalism.

On August 20, 1903, a newspaper in San Francisco, California published a large article about Ascona/Monte Verita, describing the people and their philosophies. This was certainly one of the first times that detailed news of the European counter-culture had reached the California coast.

Although Ascona died out after 1920, the spirit of it was reborn in California at Big Sur in the 1960s, with Esalen Institute becoming a "Monte Verita" on the Pacific.

But - I know you're going to say it - science (which I claim to love) supports it! True, but my talks with scientists have taught me three things:

1) The science community is made up (almost overwhelmingly) by Leftists, and - like all Leftists - they're not really prone to questioning their own assumptions. Especially the assumption they're not affected by NewAge thinking. (They're too smart - ha, ha: this ain't an I.Q. test, folks,...)

2) They haven't studied cultism, or NewAge's pagan roots, and the sneaky way pagans work on/in society - meaning: how it's worked on them - very well.

3) Like everyone NewAge has affected, they want to be heroes, so they can tell the rest of us what's what.

Don't you dare forget any of this, people - especially the desire to slander the non-believers as the whack-jobs:

Like Hillary Clinton's presidential "inevitability"; the Left's ability to end the war after winning both houses of government; the bogus claims about "over-flowing landfills", or any of the other bullshit beliefs the Left has sold as accepted fact, I'm pretty confident Global Warming, too, will come apart. If I'm wrong, I'll admit it - hey, I'm just one black guy: merely "a tiny, tiny minority" (in more ways than one) - but, if I'm right, this should be the final proof needed that, for the last 40+ years, Americans have been played for suckers in a world-wide NewAge scam to shift our priorities, from what's really important to mankind, to what those with pagan-based beliefs have desired for thousands of years.
