  1. Yep. Because the world is so much better for those with melanin since The Great Society! How education has become admired, and achievement! Civility and manners, and the respect for diverse opinions. W.E.B Du Bois would be proud, today, watching Youtube videos of someone melting down because they can't get a free cup from 7-11.

You know better, my friend. The issues are ancient and complex, but pretending melanin makes us different has always made things worse.

    1. Jesus, what a stupid essay:

"Her essay lists 50 statements, as might be spoken by a white person, that demonstrate the structural advantages of being white and suggest the structural disadvantages of being black. One example: “I can go shopping alone most of the time, pretty well assured that I will not be followed or harassed.”

As I surveyed the items in this invisible knapsack, a thought occurred to me. Were I to swap the words “political identity” or “political ideology” for “race” and “color,” much of the list could easily apply to conservatives.”

      Let's try it:

Do conservatives get identified as such and followed or harassed when shopping?

      Just sheer nonsense,...

  3. NotquiteunBuckley,

If all you're going to do is point at liberals and say "Look at them!" (when I'm criticizing Republicans) you're not going to get very far. I don't buy the argument liberals are all that's wrong - Republicans are major little bitches, too.

    Start acting like it,...
