Instapundit "Got" An Honorable Mention As 1 Of The 25 Most Influential People On The Right (As He Gets "Got")

Stick with me, kid, you'll,...something.

Away we go:

This morning I noticed Glenn Reynolds said, "I think the GOP can win even by losing," which I identified as con artist patter - and, Good Golly Miss Molly, what do you know?

It IS con artist patter! Straight from The Atlantic:
Now is the time for all good men to fail. Good women, too. Fail early and often, and don’t be shy about admitting it. Failing isn’t shameful; it’s not even failure. Such is the message of a growing body of self-help and leadership literature.
...Given this growing cultural fixation on failure, it was probably inevitable that politicians would begin clambering aboard the pro-failure bandwagon.

There it is - our buddy - good ol' Self-Help to the rescue!

Are you listening, y'all? You can't hear it:

Glenn Reynolds is in the NewAge world of Billary Clinton, Oprah Winfrey/Tony Robbins/James Arthur Ray/Louise Hay Grade-A bullshit, and he's delivering it to your door as political wisdom without the slightest clue how he's being played.

As a matter of fact, back when Reynolds used to post TMR and it was almost All-NewAge-All-The-Time, that's what his last email to me indicated:
Hey, I've got nothing against you, Crack.  But I really don't get your blog, and God knows I've tried.  Sorry.

Think about that for a second:

Glenn Reynolds has been seen to "get" a Mormon for president - who devoutly believes he'll get his own planet. Glenn can "get" that you can relearn to breathe with Laughing Yoga, all the many bogus concoctions, preparations, and devices in Quackery - and even inserting vapid win-from-losing Self-Help nostrums (I know you don't think I "get" it but I got it) into our supposedly serious game of politics - but he doesn't "get" why a conservative blogger, versed in NewAge solipsism, would be skeptical of the whole election-losing Instapundit enterprise.

Why wouldn't I point it out?

This flaw in conservative reasoning needs addressing and now:

I've got nothing against Glenn. What I really don't get will be conservatives losing through NewAge, and God knows I've tried.

O.K., there is no God, but - even for that - I am really and truly sorry,...

Bill Maher On Mitt Romney & Bain Capital: "This Is The Same Thing That Makes Guys Like Tony Robbins Rich"

What a nest of vipers we live under. ("Under" being the operative word.) Or is it a "hive," as Arthur Brisbane, the outgoing public editor of the New York Times called it?

Snakes out to bite us, bees out to sting us, it's just so hard to tell anymore.

Whatever it is, naturally, when Bill Maher made the statement that's become the title of this post, he probably didn't know Oprah Winfrey - the woman who brought us Barack Obama and promotes Tony Robbins - also parks her money with Mitt Romney's Mormon-owned Bain Capital, but it figures, doesn't it?

As Oprah privately (yet famously, thanks to publisher Nan Talese) told author James Frey after dishonestly grilling him on her show about (what else?) honesty:

"It's just business."

Yep, business, that's all it is.

Along with a few healthy doses of hypocrisy, and deception, and lying:
Winfrey was mentioned at a recent national cult conference in Connecticut, according to Philadelphia-area expert David Clark. A former Bible-based cult member who later worked as an exit counselor, Clark said attendees recommended Winfrey get cult-awareness training so she would be attuned to how people can be brainwashed.
"My main concern is Oprah's long history with New Age people," Clark said.
Clark remembers Winfrey criticizing brainwashing early in her TV career. Since then, he said, she's been associated with New Age spirituality gurus whose messages and tactics have some cult-like qualities.
Guests who have appeared on Oprah to promote mystical philosophies include Gary Zukav, who offers "spiritual guidance," and self-proclaimed "lifestyle-makeover expert" Cheryl Richardson. Winfrey has also been aligned with New Age-religion author Marianne Williamson and celebrities who promote similar beliefs, such as actress Shirley MacLaine and spiritualist Deepak Chopra.
"She definitely has a New Age cocoon of sorts," Szimhart said of Winfrey.
So now, after nests and hives, we have a cocoon. Well.

Call cultism what you will, but - the more I look into it - the more incestuous it is, the more deadly, and - now with TWO presidents wrapped up in it - it just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger,...

Good Catch: The First Black (NewAge) President On The First Black (NewAge) President - A Sham

This is an interesting choice of words - "fairy tale" - considering the belief system they all share. But, considering they were trying to sway us normal folk in the middle, it's no surprise Clinton would try to use the unreal quality NewAge cultism delivered during the election to turn us off.

Would his words have carried much weight if the media had been doing their jobs and pointed out that, while Obama was mixed up with the NewAge cultism of Oprah and her love of quackery and fraud, Bill was also mixed up with Ken Wilber and had toured the country shilling NewAge self-help nonsense with Tony Robbins - not to mention Hillary's forays into weirdness with the "psychic" Jean Houston? Would Hillary be Secretary of State, now, if they had? Would Barack be president? Would Bill have enough credibility to be staging this current comeback, that Chris Matthews has labeled (Where do liberals come up with this stuff?) "An Alliance Made By God And The Democratic Party"?

Let's just say "we think not" and carry on,...

Get Smart: A Belief Works Without It Being Seen

So what's today's all-important lesson?

Today's lesson is the same as yesterday's:

We're stupid.

But not just any kind of stupid but major fucking stupid - as a people - and if we don't recognize it, we're doomed.

How's that for a happy go lucky message to start your day?

Fuck you.

Look, we told you, and told you, and told you, but your punk asses don't listen (make a note: not listening? That's what we call a major flaw in your make-up. You need to work on that, pronto.) so you're repeating the same mistakes in different ways and thinking you're making "change" when you've got your representative of that change in the White House and can see how it's going.

What's wrong with you?

Above is that video we posted a few days ago. (Yes, we want you to watch it again, but this time ignoring the George W. Bush parts because, as we told you, the bitch is a socialist and was/is wrong about her political views, as history has already shown us.)

Today we want you to pay attention to the parts where she says, over the last decade, the decade when Baby Boomers were in charge - the biggest, most dominant generation in history - if you gave them accurate information, you were marginalized, and, if you told the truth, you got fired.

That's what's important to us now.

Recognizing how much damage a huge gang of jerks (and that's what Boomers are) could insist on doing to good, intelligent people's lives, and then trying to not repeat the Boomer's mistake.

What's the mistake? You idiot, are you new around here?

The mistake was believing NewAgers!

The only reason why no one is listening to the truth is because they built a bullshit culture convinced they can change shit with their minds.

It's that whole, stupid, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi nonsense, writ large, and by now everybody ought to know better than to believe it, but they don't!

Like how many friends do you have who meditate and/or do yoga?

Wait - let us rephrase that - how many idiots do you know who pay to have their lives wasted and insist on trying to convince others to do the same - while regularly railing about evangelical Christians for basically the same behavior and beliefs?

You fucking saps.

Like those before you, you're fucking pathetic in how short-sighted you've allowed yourselves to become, unable to see anything beyond your own eyes.

But why are we surprised?

You're the kids of Boomers.

But, still, you've got to stop all of this.

You've got to get out of the lotus position, roll up the yoga mats, and then help your neighbor to do the same.

The two of you can empty out the medicine cabinets of all your "alternative" medicines, and then, go to the pharmacy and buy some real ones that work.

Throw out, or turn off, anything that reeks of Oprah Winfrey (which includes the spinoffs by Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz or that sunny bitch with the cooking show) Tony Robbins, Andrew Weil, Kevin Trudeau, Shirley MacLaine, Jane Fonda, or even the younger outliers like Jenny McCarthy, Madonna, Angelina Jolie, Lady GaGa - anybody that never got off, or seemed to have been born on, the Magical Mystery Tour bus - just abandon them all.

Immediately.

That means NOW.

Remember "Turn On, Tune In, Drop Out"?

This is the same exact thing, except you're tuning back onto reality, and dropping out of the stupid matrix these rich fucks have constructed for you to live in.

Don't think so? Well then, answer us this:

Other than dying, how easy is it to avoid Oprah Winfrey?

That bitch follows you everywhere.

She's in the supermarket checkout lines.

She's on TV.

When she's not on TV one of her chosen minions is on you - and the entire culture encourages it!

Why is that so much better to watch and believe in than this:

See the bitch with the hammer?
That's TMR - and it should be you, too.

Smash the NewAge in it's every manifestation and we might have a chance to regain our footing.

Ignore this message and we're going to keep sliding off a cliff of our own design.

Our enemies are watching, both foreign and domestic, and the domestic ones are all NewAgers.

They told you to vote for Barack Obama.

What you get in return, for listening to them, really couldn't be more plain.
