No Word, Yet,...

No word, yet, on who convinced him that was how to get out of responsibility.

No word, yet, on whether or not he's destroyed a case of Bud Light in protest.

No word, yet, on what he calls Biden's supporters.

Kari Lake's Bribery Tape Is Much More Than Arizona's GOP Death Star Exploding

As you can hear, above, the murky world of political gangsterism that Oliver Stone portrayed in the movie JFK, and that's always been alluded to, but deflected from the fiasco we now call Watergate, finally made another real-life, but softer debut, through a recording made by Kari Lake, former MAGA candidate for Governor of Arizona, and now Senate candidate.

In the recording, Jeff Dewit, the MAGA-loving, just-resigned, former Arizona Treasurer and GOP Chairman, is heard trying to bribe Lake, on behalf of some "very powerful people" from "back East," and sometimes using Tony Soprano-like tones.

Though Lake has spoken about this attempt many times before - without naming names - Arizona Republicans are finding it odd that a recording made almost a year ago, exposing DeWit, would only now be leaked to the Daily Mail. They find it so odd that Kari Lake - who was recently leading in the polls - is now accused of blackmail by DeWit, and being publicly booed by her own party. Which honestly makes the whole episode even odder: Donald Trump was supposed to stop by Arizona for one of his GOP fundraisers/pep rallies, but declined, making some wonder if it was Trump's team that tried to pay Kari Lake to get lost? That would instantly catapult it all from odd to just plain weird.

Having seen a lot of reporting on this, except for asking why Kari Lake records her interactions (which TMR kinda likes, in the same way we keep police officers fake-but-honest by doing it) that seems to be about as deep as most news outlets are going. But there's still information, and unanswered questions, radiating from this, that TMR doesn't understand. For instance, it opens with Kari Lake saying "I'm assuming this is our friend." Remember: Lake knew she was being recorded - DeWit didn't. Who is this mysterious unnamed "friend," she and Jeff Dewit share, who she would think a message, so weighty it had to be personally delivered to her home, would be coming from? Was it Donald Trump? TMR has seen no one ask Lake (since she knew she was being recorded) why she didn't just say a name, nor has anyone asked Dewit who she was referencing - because everyone's blown away by the obvious bribe later in the recording.

Next, Kari Lake, without knowing specifically who they were discussing, says (whoever these "very powerful" GOP members are) they're "corrupt." DeWit's answer? "Well, maybe you're right." Excuse me - "Maybe you're right"? Let that sink in. The GOP Chairman doesn't argue the point. He doesn't flinch, either: He knows he's an emissary for the Dark Side, or whatever the Republican Party thinks of as it's Dark Side, and, without knowing he was doing so, he's confirmed it exists to the rest of the world, too. Well done, Sir. Well done.

So don't let the Right's Jesus talk fool you. While totally sounding like a child sex abuser (repeatedly telling Lake not to tell anyone) DeWit starts telling Lake those people, who he just confessed are "corrupt," care about her "being on the team." Which brings us to the point of this post. The creepy fucking way that creepy fucking man mentioned that creepy fucking team he's on. He mentioned cartels are in all 50 states (!) like he's warning her there's nowhere to run. Both he and Lake mention the likelihood of being killed for defiance. He says she won't be able to raise money, or function in Washington, D.C., without somebody behind her. Basically, American politics, but with a similar dynamic to surviving in prison. That shit's too creepy for any good anti-cultist to let pass.

Harvard's Claudine Gay affair has given many Americans a glimpse into one of the hazards of corporate-speak in society. But, more to the point, many more Americans have had the experience of working for a business that insists everyone's "family," or on a "team," until of course they're not. Then, the corporation just as unceremoniously dispenses with that employee, making the point crystal clear that they were never close, until the former "team member" grows so cynical, not only won't they ever fall for that one again, but now they're on the lookout for it as a red flag for deceit in business. There's a reason for this phenomena. Some say there's a reason for everything.
Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post thinks the media's worst lapse is refusing to identify Trump as a cult leader. Federally-recognized cult expert Rick Alan Ross begs to differ:

"Donald Trump is not an absolute authoritarian “cult” leader like a Jim Jones, Charles Manson or David Koresh. He was democratically elected and is subject to congressional oversight, judicial review by the courts and must run to be reelected. The President of the United States is also constitutionally limited by law to no more than two terms (eight years) as president. None of this matches the history or narrative of cult leaders,..."

Fair enough. We also know this because Lake kept saying these are people out to get Trump (Plus, Trump's been a known quantity since the '80s. He hasn't had time to build a cult). So, if not Trump, then whose team are we talking about? TMR thinks Jennifer Rubin needs to look closer to home. TMR thinks this is the capitalist right, working with the so-called "atheist" left.

Whoever it is, "They're pushing a globalist agenda." Which brings us to a familiar quote,...

New Age is establishing itself as the ideology of global capitalism.

Here's another one, just for good measure:

“The more convoluted the explanation, the more unintelligible the practitioners are, the more people may be inclined to believe them. It makes it appear as though it is privileged knowledge, like real medicine and auto tech.”

All these years after Apple got cultism established in business (and killed Steve Jobs) America's still not examining the real role corporations are playing in politics and society, or how they're really doing what they're doing. Are they here just to please stockholders, if they're also being used to shuffle politicians into well-paying make-work "talking head" jobs, just to get them "out of the way" like Bill Clinton tried to do to Monica? And out of whose way, exactly? And for what - else?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Lost: Surviving The NewAge

"I'm sure, in time, history will reward [George W. Bush]...Hell, I'm as sure of that as I am my own friggin' name."

Look at the date: 2008 was 8 years before the Washington Post saw the photo, above, and thought "it may come as a surprise to many" that a Democrat would be caught dead hugging George W. Bush. And why wouldn't they write that, when - even as I'm blogging in 2024 - the vast majority of their readers, if not the country and the world, are still angry at W., because the media do such a good job of convincing Americans to "believe" in narratives - like there were no WMD found in Iraq:
“I love it when I hear, ‘Oh there weren’t any chemical weapons in Iraq,’ ” [Jarrod L. Taylor, a former Army sergeant] said. “There were plenty.”

Of course there were: we sold them to Saddam (DUH). I know what I know: Narratives are the crimes of our times. Starting with the "spiritual" machinations of an uber-rapey, Epstein Island-dwelling Bill Clinton, we've not only been living in an age punctuated by Hillary Clinton's lies and conspiracy theories (presumably for the rest of our lives) while surrounded by the pushing and buying of worthless homeopathic medicines, "pointless" CBD crap, useless cold medicines, outlandish breathwork seminars (also popularized by Hillary Clinton), corporate Wellness programs, criminal psychics, delusional reiki healers, and Aaron Rodgers, but it's a time that no longer actively illuminates reality.

We haven't been made wary of being lied to, political parties, spiritual movements, or being swept away by media, as we we were warned to do in the '70s, after Harvey Milk stole his election with the help of Jim Jones and his People's Temple cult. We're now a society serving those purposes, and made ripe for deception, by our own deceptions. By always moving so fast, the world is now convinced the truth, too, is a moving target.

But how is anyone supposed to live in a pile of shit, once they can can see it's shit, as a world filled with multitudes of, almost unidentifiable, NewAge cultists - who are incapable of learning from mistakes - and almost always retaliate against exposure? (Watch any Netflix doc on cults and tell me I'm wrong.) It's damn near impossible.

TMR extols Atheism. Not pretending to see what's not there, but seeing what is, and betting you can't then forget it, or look away. For instance, instead of King Charles being in the hospital for his prostate treatment - after he's been such a big fan of homeopathy all these years, promoting it to his subjects and the world for decades - shouldn't he be compelled to rely on it now? Shouldn't it be expected? As an example to us all, of the King as a man of integrity? He has a Royal Homeopath.

Come on. The monarchy is as dead as he'd be. And no one will force him to change his tune. But, you can bet, somebody already wants to kill me. And THAT'S the point: Bill Ackman is not alone.

Words are violence. Everything happens for a reason. Karma. These are reasons we can lose employment today. There's simply no way to live, unless you're rich enough to be ignored or endure it. Not when nonsense has erected such a formidable, world-wide support system, that people groan when they hear the truth. Friendships are destroyed. Immoral persecutions. People have died.

 Free Palestine.

If The Stupid People Can Make A Homeopathy Cult Out Of Water, Then The Stupid People Can Also Make Another Stupid Cult (Out Of Any Damn Thing)

If this quote wasn't in The Washington Post - which allowed a self-proclaimed NewAge witch to run their religion section for years without telling anyone - it would be one of the weirdest things I've ever read. How casually they print that people today trust cults, I mean. Like there's ANY evidence that's even a good idea. But, since it is in The Washington Post, I will just have to accept I'm surrounded by full-on cultists now, like I'm living in a real-life version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers. They think it's normal life. I think that's creepy as FUCK.

As Above (So, So, So Below)

The always-trustworthy Washington Post (rolls eyes) tells us about Donald Trump’s version of an insanity defense: His critics are insane.
Which can't be true, right? Not after his critics lied to the entire world for three years straight - at their beloved (and also trustworthy) Hillary Clinton's request - INSISTING the President of the United States was a traitor who peed on hookers in Russian hotel rooms for Putin, right?
Of course not: We know any "Party of Science" that's led with Oprah's version of compassion - like publicly leaving FOUR of Bill Clinton's Democrat party rape accusers twisting in the wind for the rest of their natural lives - that's NOT A CULT (or anything weird like that) but a political party that's perfectly normal, and, quite obviously, has it's ethical house in good working order.

What's The Difference Between The Truth And "Your" Truth? (The Truth Is Real)

EVENING: Andrea Mitchell (who majored in English!) of NBC News adds her name to the list.
MIDNIGHT: Jennifer Rubin (of The Washington Post) also tries to humiliate others (Notice: NewAge Nazi Democrats can be identified by their eagerness to jump-in and try to humiliate others) all while getting to work on the media's "Little Yellow School Bus".

When I Say "Think Of The Kids" And Their Parents DON'T (It Says Something)

I will bet everything I own, The Washington Post will NOT run an article on Inauguration Day - explaining ways to impeach President Biden - the way they did to President Trump.

If anyone thinks such things will soon be forgotten - or forgiven - you, too, "have a dream" we will NOT be reaching, anytime soon.

Rand Paul Will Not Run 4 President & Crack's Colorblind

I haven't gotten upset about Edward Snowden's NSA revelations because I figured (duh) the government was doing it already. But, in light of Rand Paul's success at Berkeley - where he talked, specifically, about opposing the NSA - running into Adalia Woodbury's braying, about internet surveillance being authorized by President Bush, became kinda interesting. As a matter of fact, I've got to agree with her - if Rand Paul's planning on running for president, he's got to find a better class of losers:

The ironies in this story are endless, beginning with the cast of characters. We have Rand Paul who believes freedom means businesses denying services to black people, denying women the right to make their own healthcare decisions and denying non-Republicans the right to vote as a great civil libertarian fighting for privacy rights that were, in reality, violated by the NSA solely on orders by fellow Republican, George W. Bush. We have Ken Cuccinelli who tried to regulate sex when he was Virginia’s Attorney General as the lead attorney in a suit on privacy rights.  We have Larry Klayman, who tried [to] nullify Barack Obama’s presidency with a birther suit, and last year tried to stage a coup with his demand that Obama “put the Quran down.” Yet, he filed his suit because he is concerned about privacy rights?

[Snip]

In Rand Paul’s world, privacy is merely his delusion of a ticket to the White House.

Delusion, eh? We at TMR know a few things about that. So here's where it gets tricky - I looked into this "businesses denying services to black people" thing (naturally) and discovered why Mr. Paul is avoiding all discussion of "social issues":

He's actually a racial Mr. Magoo:

Gobbledigook. Solicitor General Walter Dellinger said he was puzzled by Paul's comments elsewhere (which are all demonstrations in avoidance strategy) "suggest that he did not understand the magnitude of what was at stake in the civil rights movement.” I wouldn't be surprised, if Paul's peers, and supporters, are any indication.

Later, The Washington Post accused Paul of "rewriting history" regarding his positions. (A major no-no around these parts.) As best, I can tell, the most clear point Rand Paul has ever made, regarding race, is in saying he would've marched with Martin Luther King - he's made that point many, many, many times - but he would NOT have insisted King could eat at a Woolworth's lunch counter.

Come on. I've seen that line repeated, in one form or another, by Republicans and Hard Right types for a while now:

They "don't see race," and they'll even be a black's friend, but - in a most unfriendly manner - they'll also endorse ideas and policies that result in blacks, specifically, not having what we need to live after undergoing what they openly acknowledge was a well-delivered "stain on our history".

Yes, we get it, it's a blood stain. Ours.

Look, give it up, Guys. Rand Paul doesn't stand a chance with this nonsense in his background, his dad's white supremacist newsletters, etc.. He's toast. I've read a bunch of his statements and he can't even hold a coherent discussion on the topic without coming off as evasive or racist. I mean really racist. But I'm not saying he is one.  See?

I'm catching on to how this game is played, too.

I hate to say this, folks, but here's TMR's presidential political analysis for those with no skills:

After the disaster of Romney, here's Hillary's challenger,…

You Go From Cold To Hawt But Getting All Hawt Is Best

I remember something about standing astride history yelling "Stop!" but all I see is confusion:
Where to even begin? Ms. Karasik relates her experiences being a 14 year old girl, saying that she and her classmates thought about sex just as much as the boys. She also goes on to claim that girls were having sex with teachers in high school and college and nobody really got hurt. She generously allows that teachers who are caught “having sex with” (i.e. raping) their students “should be removed from their jobs” but only until they complete “rehabilitation.”
I remain puzzled as to how this managed to make its way onto the pages of the Washington Post, but it has.

Here's someone else from the same article:
How is society “damaged” by protecting children from predatory teachers? Karasik doesn’t actually say, other than to imply that Morales might not have committed suicide had the criminal case not been pending. Despicable. Oh, and maybe students would be more likely to discuss sexual issues with school counselors.
I repeat, this was published in the Washington Post. How low can we go? I am afraid we are going to find out.

Does any of this sound like "Stop!" to you?

Why's about the only thing I haven't figured out yet,...
