One Of These Things Is Not Like The Others

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

One of the people in this video is a well-known NewAge cult member. Can you guess which one? Who refers to herself as "a Greek goddess" (one whose defining attributes for that title are on full display here) and comes to us speaking of political judgement when, if memory serves, she was once married to - and ran an election in California with - a gay Republican? Explain it to me slowly: what purpose does this woman serve?

As far as I'm concerned, Miss Thang, Arianna Huffington, can take her horrible, trouble-making, cult-following ass back to broke-ass Greece, or shut-the-fuck-up (or networks can start turning her away now) because personally, I don't know about anybody else, but I'm seriously sick of listening to the bitch:

I know crazy when I see it and, money or no money, that bitch is crazy.

Homeopaths Are Crazy (All Of You Are, Really)

If this doesn't convince you, nothing will. Certain people will use blacks for any purpose they see fit. That's what blacks are here for, right? To make conservatives feel moral, or to make liberals feel even more moral, and to "keep" blacks as pawns, or a prize, to be fought over - for someone else's attainment of the (white) high-ground - in the eyes of other whites, of course, not mine. (What are all 13% of blacks going to do? Stop the whole 80% of you? When you're feeling so good about,...um,...yourself?) NewAge losers. It's like watching a "stuff white people like" episode, taken to extremes.

I got that video from Orac's site, where he's not only upset that this bit of foolery wasn't directed at him - instead of just being upset that this idiot's using me and mine as homeopathic props - but he's also made the contemporary leap to being upset (on my behalf, of course) over the word "nigger" being used, when he knows these idiot homeopaths kill people. I ask you, which is worse: some dumbshit lamely using a "bad word" - or that dumbshit killing your mother? (Nigger doesn't hurt me - "sticks and stones" - but murder does, so I ask you, regarding this mindset to zero-in on the "n-word": has the entire western world become five years old? You know, old enough to recognize a "bad word" but not old enough to comprehend the meaning, and impact, of death?) Here: ask the kid below, because - based on the photo evidence - she looks like she might be more mature than most,...and that includes most adults:

As far as the rest of what this dumbshit homeopath is saying - while both of his wind machines (the real one and his mouth) blow - skeptics are "clinging" to our false doctirine, like Obama's subjects in fly-over country are supposed to be "clinging" to religion? Pure insanity. You're almost all crazy now, if you ask me. You - yea, you, the reader - voted for Obama, probably (because he's black and nothing more) so I almost have to excuse this water salesman for thinking a re-working of our NewAge president's tired bullshit just might have an influence on certain audiences again.

But something's gotta give, y'all. It just can't keep going like this. I, for one, ain't your plaything. And you've clearly fell down Alice's rabbit hole to think otherwise.

And our history - American history - also deserves better as well. The Civil War was fought so we could finally end this shit. MLK died for the same reason - not to keep it going - simply because, based on your Avatar-like acceptance of a lame-brained liberal NewAge outlook, it just feels so good.

NewAge And Self-Help: Life's Little Man-Poison

Patricia comes to Gavin's office with a giant cake, the kind that strippers pop out of. She makes all of Gavin's co-workers sing 'Happy Birthday,' even though it isn't his birthday. Then out of the cake comes a small, scantily clad gay man, singing 'It's Raining Men.' Patricia -- who, I should point out, is wearing a suit and tie for some reason -- has done this to humiliate her husband. Duly embarrassed, Gavin storms out of the office, pursued by a screeching Patricia, gets in his car, speeds out of the parking lot, smashes into a passing truck, and dies. In the epilogue, a year later, Patricia meets a new, awesome man played by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The end. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP."
-- Eric D. Snider, reviewing "Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married, Too?" - Perry is Oprah Winfrey's pal, so it figures cancer enters the picture eventually, and Janet Jackson's "Patricia" is not only a self-help author, but one who can do anything she wants to a man, and get rewarded for it - especially if it involves a humiliating gay reference, which Perry must have thought would be just the thing to make it even more crudely feminist (a la Oprah) without the risk of becoming Cinematical.

Victoria's Secret: She's No Good

"1. Rielle Hunter

Is there anyone worse than the New Age–spouting, sex tape–filming, wretched poser-in-her-underwear-on-her-child's-bed Rielle Hunter? The former Lisa Jo Druck (no, really, that was her name) doesn't even get most of our scorn in that whole sordid affair. John Edwards certainly deserves the lion's share of the blame for being a disgusting cheater who had a baby with someone else while his wife was dying of cancer. But Rielle is just gross. What kind of terrible person gives a quote like this to a national magazine: 'You know, love is this mysterious force that you just don't understand. And it's uplifting, and it's bigger than you, bigger than us, bigger than everyone. We could not stop it. It was so big. And it's still big. It's astonishing. It surprises us.'"
-- Sara Brady, voting John Edwards' Lisa Jo Druck as THE top-of-the-line model out of the "7 Worst Mistresses Of All Time" - even beating out such luminaries as Jesse James' uber-tatooed nightmare, Michelle "Bombshell" McGee, and Eliot Spitzer's Ashley Dupré - making me wish I'd never married that too-closely-named NewAge nutjob, Karine Anne Brunck (and had, instead, just used her for a cum rag) because then the honor would be all hers - without question - making her, instead of being my life's greatest regret, Your Tango.

I love that the only person to get applause is the old guy sporting The Macho Response. And, in honor of the first comment this post received, here's a little primer on how to come at me next time:

You're Looking For Doti Boon? Why Me Too!

I know, I know - don't look at it: the title was a joke! - just continue on, reading, until it's sight can be erased from your mind:

Some SearchMonkey's been doing some very interesting searches for, what has to be, one of my favorite NewAgers in the whole wide world, Doti Boon: The California Psychic - check it out:
'doti boon' crook
'doti boon' fraud
doti boon transvestite
As you've seen above (don't look!) this immoral weirdo is all these things at once, and then some. And, Folks, seriously, that's not a face - or a look in the eye - anyone should be wanting to take advice from. (The hat, alone, is a major no-no.)

So I wonder what prompted this search? Has Doti destroyed someone's life? Or merely ripped someone off? Did "advice" from it's "guide" take a wrong turn? Did one of it's cassettes fall into the wrong hands again? Or was one of it's scams uncovered?

Man, I'd really like to know,....Damn it, I don't want to have to go on a search, myself, back into the NewAge netherworld of websites and bulletin boards that consists of shit like this or worse. Or even worse. (The shit makes my brain hurt.)

Fucking fuck shit, I don't want to do it, but this here calls for an act of desperation, so fuck it - here goes nothin' but a total break in protocol:

Come back, SearchMonkey, come back!

As The World (And The Worm) Turns

"Life has become "awful" for Phil Jones. Just a few months ago, he was a man with an enviable reputation: the head of the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, an expert in his field and the father of an alarming global temperature curve that apparently showed how the Earth was heating up as a result of anthropogenic global warming.

Those days are now gone.

Nowadays, Jones, who is at the center of the 'Climategate' affair involving hacked CRU emails, needs medication to fall sleep. He feels a constant tightness in his chest. He takes beta-blockers to help him get through the day. He is gaunt and his skin is pallid. He is 57, but he looks much older. He was at the center of a research scandal that hit him as unexpectedly as a rear-end collision on the highway.

His days are now shaped by investigative commissions at the university and in the British Parliament. He sits on his chair at the hearings, looking miserable, sometimes even trembling. The Internet is full of derisive remarks about him, as well as insults and death threats. 'We know where you live,' his detractors taunt.

Jones is finished: emotionally, physically and professionally. He has contemplated suicide several times recently, and he says that one of the only things that have kept him from doing it is the desire to watch his five-year-old granddaughter grow up."
-- Der Spiegel Online

This particular bit sounds awful familiar, don't it? And how about this from me - all the way back in January, 2008:

"A taste of the wonderful future ahead - science corrupted beyond all recognition - because you don't need science when you're 'saving the planet'".
Considering what we know now, even I have to say wow. Think what you'd like but I'm telling you:

A man can learn a lot by merely studying NewAge.

A Really Big Reason Why The Nation's Sinking

"The press came late to the story. The mainstream media almost had to be dragged to it. It was there waiting to be told at least by the 1990s, but broadcast news shows and big newspapers weren't keen to go after it."
-- Peggy Noonan, talking about coverage of the Catholic church's child abuse scandal (not John Edwards) but still outlining the awful truth about journalists, and the mainstream media, today - they pick and choose what we ought to know, regardless of the truth or the story's worth to the public - using silence to reveal their biases (and, thus, worthlessness) to everyone, including The Wall Street Journal.

Switch Up: Let That Bitch See How She Likes It

"Maybe we should discuss the many social institutions that are giving women unrealistic expectations of men and a sense that they have the right to control men, and men’s sexuality, in their own interest."
-- Dr. Helen Smith, confronting complaints about porn while never mentioning NewAge beliefs - because few ever mention NewAge's arrogant, and deluded, proposition of women as sexual "goddesses", to be worshiped for their (still unapparent) "wisdom", as part of their problem with control - though the quote would more accurately apply, even on Pajamas Media.

Smiles All Around: It's A Wonderful World

"The lawyer of a Lebanese TV psychic who was convicted in Saudi Arabia for witchcraft said Thursday her client could be beheaded this week and urged Lebanese and Saudi leaders to help spare his life.

Attorney May al-Khansa said she learned from a judicial source that Ali Sibat is to be beheaded on Friday. She added that she does not have any official confirmation of this. Saudi judicial officials could not be immediately reached for comment.

A Lebanese official said Beirut has received no word from its embassy in Riyadh about Sibat's possible execution. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

The Saudi justice system, which is based on Islamic law, does not clearly define the charge of witchcraft.

Sibat is one of scores of people reported arrested every year in the kingdom for practicing sorcery, witchcraft, black magic and fortunetelling. These practices are considered polytheism by the government in Saudi Arabia, a deeply religious Muslim country.

New York-based Human Rights Watch said last year that Sibat's death sentence should be overturned. It also called on the Saudi government to halt 'its increasing use of charges of "witchcraft," crimes that are vaguely defined and arbitrarily used.'

Last year, the rights group presented a series of cases in the kingdom, including that of Saudi woman Fawza Falih, who was sentenced to death by beheading in 2006 for the alleged crimes of 'witchcraft, recourse to jinn (supernatural beings)' and animal sacrifice.

On November 2, 2007, Mustafa Ibrahim, an Egyptian pharmacist, was executed for sorcery in the Saudi capital of Riyadh after he was found guilty of having tried 'through sorcery' to separate a married couple, Human Rights Watch said."
-- Bassem Mroue, reporting on some serious trouble - crazy Muslims, crazy NewAgers, "sorcery, witchcraft, black magic and fortunetelling" - that's all led to a horrible situation where apparently everybody seems to be losing their heads, according to The Associated Press.

Liberal Newscasters Called Her A "Teabagger"

Politicians have called her worse,...

Hat Tip: The Right Coast

Reality Check: Yep, It's Still Here After All

"Science writer Simon Singh today took a major step towards defeating a libel action brought against him by a group of chiropractors.

The Court of Appeal handed him the right to use the defence of 'fair comment' over an opinion piece Mr Singh wrote in the Guardian in April 2008 suggesting there was a lack of evidence for the claims some chiropractors make on treating certain childhood conditions, including colic and asthma.

He was accused of defamation by the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), which alleged that Mr Singh had in effect accused its leaders of knowingly supporting bogus treatments.

In a preliminary ruling in the dispute at the High Court last May, Mr Justice Eady held that Mr Singh’s comments were factual assertions rather than expressions of opinion and, as such, he would have been forced to prove it was his assertion were true or use the defence of responsible journalism.

Today, however, the Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge, Master of the Rolls Lord Neuberger and Lord Justice Sedley ruled that Mr Justice Eady had 'erred in his approach', and allowed Mr Singh’s appeal. The result means he needs only to prove that it was reasonable for him to hold the opinions he does, that the subject was in the public interest and they were based on fact.

Mr Singh described the ruling as 'brilliant'."
-- Jenny Booth, bringing scientists, skeptics, anti-quack activists, and those against England's libel laws, some welcome news - as this case proves, we're winning big time, on several key fronts - a just reward for the valiant efforts individuals are undertaking to confront and chronicle society's ugliest legal and philosophical excesses, in what no one should refer to as The Times Online.

Don't Look, Mammy, Just Don't Even Look

"The Republican National Committee paid $1,946 for a gathering at a sex-themed Hollywood club, which a group of young Republicans had visited without RNC approval. The money is to be paid back.

Now it turns out the RNC inadvertently listed a phone-sex number on a fundraising letter sent to potential donors. People who tried to call the committee were instead offered 'live, one-on-one talk with a nasty girl' for $2.99 a minute."
