Gee: shouldn't the Washington Times have added what color Eric Holder is? You know, just to balance it out? And why, since I'm sure they're "colorblind" and all, did they highlight David Clarke's race? And why - in a media environment filled with racial mind games - do white people hate being called "white" so much? If it's good enough for a "black Milwaukee sheriff" (and I've heard no complaints) why not Ann Althouse, white Madison law professor? Oh yeah: I've been told it's racist to do that.

I don't know what they're doing to Wisconsin's water but, whatever it is, it's wrong. A lot of right-of-center white people are talking about the break-up of The New Republic, but the most fascinating thing about it is their sincere concern for what was now a historically "sloppy" and racist publication, best exemplified by the crazy career of Wisconsin's own Ruth Shalit. Really, white people, you don't know how good you've got it - especially in Wisconsin: black sheriffs who feel disgust for black people. White women who feel disgust for black people. It sounds like paradise, for everyone but black people.

Many white people, continuing to deliver the wrong response, seem to have locked onto cigarette taxes for the death of Eric Garner. See, if the tax hadn't been so high, he wouldn't have had a market for loosies - simple, huh? Not as simple as, if the government and white people didn't practice multiple centuries worth of discrimination against blacks, the Eric Garner's of the world wouldn't need to sell loosies to begin with. So let's break down what's so hilarious here: 

 1. Obama is a socialist. This cracks us up because - after 400 years of blacks being on the bottom of every measurable scale in America - to think we would agree democracy is an absolutely wonderful system is, well, crazy. 

2. Obama is a fraud. Unlike this gentleman, who probably has never noticed that - even though blacks have been here since before this was a country - his supposedly-enlightened nation can't be credible without ever having elected a black to the top office before now. 

3. Obama is a liar. Unlike the slave-owning rapist who wrote "All Men Are Created Equal," and our "honest" school system that didn't teach black history, a media that still leaves black history out of the context of broadcasts, and a white population that loses it at black history's mere mention because whites look bad.

4. Obama is a racist bigot. Because we know how informed on, and how much whites have done to fix, the race problem they created in this country - including reparations for all the free work (and rape and murder) during 250 years of slavery, all the taxes paid to whites (along with the rape and murder) during the 100+ years of discrimination under Jim Crow, and so much more (including massive amounts of rape and murder).

This guy is a walking billboard for everything that's wrong with this place - but let's give him this:

"The Party's Moved Away From Somebody Like Me"

I don't think I'm wrong to suspect - since we're both Republicans, veterans, AND Race Men - Colin Powell and I also share, occasionally, feeling like fools. I called the general "Judas!" when he first endorsed Obama (a position I now regret taking, and that didn't go without notice) but, at the end of the day, we're both still stuck: our American ideals, and political goals, still stand in the shadow of our nation's white supremacy. And (it can't go without saying) it's white supremacists.

My difference with Powell is he thinks the GOP "took a turn to the right" and he'll (presumably) be content to wait the insanity out. I say America's history with blacks, from slavery on, being what it is, the Right's evil is built in and can only be confronted.

Since "our side" is always so concerned with taxation without representation, America's reparational crimes should be as easy to deduce - after reading that blacks had been discriminated from using public facilities since slavery - as asking, "Did they pay taxes?" But logic's not the game we're playing. This is still cold, hard, brutal, murderous, white American slaver self-preservation-at-the-expense-of-others-who-didn't-hurt-you, lynch mentality at it's finest. I'll give them a little credit, though:

So, now the state of California has frozen my bank account over a tax bill I paid three years ago, which required a previous year-and-a-half of dealing with them. They have no record of any of it. Luckily, I have an accountant who does, but still, I am now officially screwed. San Francisco's "generosity" in light of this only goes as far as allowing me a week's extension to clear up their mistake.

I have only the money that's on me now.

Why "acting white" isn't a real thing

Walking by them, they, too, are engaged in Diet Racism and I pass them without comment. I know the ignorance in this country all too well and I, too, have to eat.

I already had too much on my plate anyway

Except for fast food, no place is open I can afford, until I find a little diner run by a Thai couple. I sit, and in the next booth are a prostitute and her john, negotiating terms over coffee. I'm in the center of The City, but also the poorest section, so there's no Wi-Fi connection. Fuck. My phone's almost out of a charge, too. FUCK. Forget about it. I dive into a meal I'm happy to get, because it's huge, and under $9.00 on a Sunday.

A friend, working as a doorman, caught some Diet Racism last night. A drunk guy had to be thrown out and threw out the meta-racism that, because of his size, my friend was "dangerous" and "deserved to be in prison." Rather than break the guy in two, he talked with moi a while, because I'm older, and we ended up laughing it off - after my warning he should always remember that's how many whites still think, so watch himself. I'd so hate for him to be Michael Brown.
