The Macho Response is now blogging for our chronicle of NewAge cultism, The Coal Train, and so - after 3 million visits here - all further updates will be there.
Thank you,
The Crack Emcee
For some time now, we've been telling you The Macho Response is catching on - even if the blog isn't - and one of this approach's most ringing endorsements has just appeared, courtesy of Dennis Prager:If you love liberty, you must target the left and put its totalitarian tendencies in your cross hairs. We must shoot down political correctness and wage a crusade for truth and liberty. All those ladies and gentlemen who cherish personal and societal freedom must fight like great Indian chiefs, braving secondhand smoke if need be, in affirming a masculinity that has been under relentless attack. And yes, we must even endure the taunts of our foes and, at the appropriate time of the year, wish fellow Americans a "Merry Christmas."That's absolutely correct:
Then, and only then, will we be able to vanquish lies, defeat the foes of liberty, and once again be able to proudly sing a national anthem that affirms that "the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."
Well now, we might just have something going on:"It’s not enough, seemingly, to vote these people out. We have to stomp on them for them to get the message."That's a novel approach, don't you think?
"These are the times in which we live. The gloves are off on both sides. For the moment the Right is winning and there is no greater reason for this than Glenn Beck. To be honest, Beck makes me feel uneasy. He embarrasses me. He often seems like a man on the verge of an ataque de nervios, as Pedro Almodovar once had it. I don’t know if he is going to fly off the handle, blow up or what.
"Homeopathy is unproven and its products should not be sold, a visiting critic of alternative medicine says.
"I heard people say things that weren’t very friendly. I knew what they were thinking. I saw people laughing and I knew they were laughing at me. But I thought, well, they’ll soon shut up,....I am happy as I am,...I know what they were thinking but why should it matter as long as I can sing? It’s not a beauty contest."
This Tuesday, March 31st, at 5PM Pacific time, The Crack Emcee will be doing a live interview* about TMR and the NewAge Movement on "My Perspective with Constance Cumbey". You can listen in here:
Constance Cumbey is a lawyer and activist Christian author.
Cumbey's book, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, was one of the earliest writings from a fundamentalist Christian perspective concerning New Age spirituality. Her rejection of New Age spirituality was based on her understanding of Christian teachings regarding the role of Christ as saviour, and of Biblical prophecy. She has also promoted several conspiracy theories in her writings, including the claim that the European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana could be the Antichrist.
TMR was going to announce our up-coming appearance on a Christian internet radio program, but that can wait - even bigger news is breaking. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Bear is roaming again, and those of us who work (slave) at TMR are no longer alone in our hunt for reason. Listen up:
"I,...want to welcome The Macho Response as an official partner of Panda Bear, MD. It’s hard to exactly describe this blog. It’s author, the self-styled Crack Emcee, is not a doctor but he does have a common-sense based grasp of medicine. He is not a scientist but has the intelligence to know both when smoke is being blown up his ass and to point out the hypocrisy and puritanical tendencies of many in the scientific community. He is an atheist (where I am most certainly not) but he is intellectually consistent in his principles and has not given up “old-fashioned” religion only to latch onto some nutty cult as is too common in our sad and ridiculous age.
The Crack Emcee is an artist of some note, however, and his blog is a sort of collage, an exploration with links, pictures, and music of the truly ridiculous behavior and ideas of those truly ridiculous individuals in the various elites who style themselves our superiors, our protectors, and our benevolant masters. Be warned, however, that his blog is not for the spineless products of our apologetic and insipid culture. You will be offended. You will shriek in dismay as your icons are defaced and your tin-plated heros are gutted in his arena with their entrails left to cook in the hot sand.
There - you've been "warned."
Panda Bear, M.D. writes the most amazing shit we have ever read (not that we understand it all, seeing how it can sometimes involve a lot of medical jargon, but no one makes it as fun to learn about "healing," or how dysfunctional the medical system is, as he does) and - as happy as we are to be included in his universe (and it is his universe: we only live in it) - we're even more excited knowing, now, we have something to read that doesn't insult our intelligence!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, we told you there was "even bigger breaking news" to come - and, as awesome as it is to be going on the radio, or to have TMR hooked-up with a truly outstanding blog - fuck all that. Here's the one totally-mind-blowing announcement that should be screamed from rooftops all over this world, like we've just witnessed a cosmic strike from Alpha Centauri:
GOD DAMN IT, PEOPLE OF EARTH, PANDA IS WRITING AGAIN!!!
The man once known as "Cool Hand Luke" is dead at 83. He was old school left-wing politics, and though I never bought his silly salad dressing, I have to admit: the amazing characters he played in films will live forever - somewhere deep, deep in my heart - as stunning examples of The Macho Response."What is lost forever is the kind of movie star Paul Newman was — the kind who understood that being larger than life meant never crossing the line into the dark heart of celebrity; that it was possible to be politically active without insulting your fans; that living in rural Connecticut as opposed to Beverly Hills was how to keep your perspective.Rest in peace, old man. You did good.
A loving father, faithful husband, World War II veteran and philanthropist who gave away a vast fortune, being one of the all-time great screen legends was only part of who Paul Newman was. It‘s the rare circumstance where after their passing we mourn the loss of the man more than the star."
Just a quick note to say, as I pointed out Monday, this blog is becoming a flash point for some people - a dividing line between those that "believe" things, like dissing America is the way you "help" her, and those of us who "know" things, like - duh - this is our home and, no matter how you feel about religion (and I am clear on how I feel about religion, aren't I?) you don't fuck with our United States as a way to "help". She will not be remade.
Now, I don't want to get all evangelical about it, but as you all know, "money is the mother's milk of politics" and, especially in this election year, America and her supporters need more than cheerleaders. I'm about as proud of the growth of this site as I can be, but using it to drive a stake through the heart of NewAge Liberalism is the goal, and that shit takes donations. I know I've got Christian supporters out there and, yea, that means you too: just think of me as Robert Johnson, returning from "the crossroads", determined to kill the Devil. Determined to kill racism. Determined to kill the agenda of lies that can finally make any American, white or black, or even Christian and atheist, look at each other and say "Yea, let's do this shit."
Monetary denominations don't matter, folks. Don't do anything you can't, and if you can't you can't, who gives a fuck? Believe me, the fact you come by is enough. But if you want to do more - if you want to see something happen in your time that you can point to and say "That's my guy!" - and know it - then do what you can.
Pass this post to a patriot you know can do something (like Rush Limbaugh). While the Democrats are burnishing their traditional image as a bunch of racists, I'll be the Republican Party's spokesman for what's possible in the future. We can do this. They want to see black faces - well, let's give it to 'em! Authentic ones! But without the empty suit, Rev. Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and all the rest. I won't stumble, I won't fall, and I am unafraid. The Liberals are out to get me already. But you know by now I'm determined to turn their world on it's head, so, fittingly, I'ma leave you by flipping the words of the late bullshit-assed Johnnie Cochran:
With the support I get, I'm harder to hit.
No matter how gross things become.
"If Barack Obama loses this election to John McCain – something which, for the first time, I regard as a real possibility – history will point to August 29 as the pivotal moment."
"That was when Mr McCain announced that Sarah Palin would be his running-mate, and when livid Democrats and their friends in the media voiced their feelings about her and much of the electorate, and gravely harmed their candidate’s prospects."
"For Mr McCain to win the election against the odds that faced him pre-Palin – with the economy in the tank and the incumbent Republican president setting records for unpopularity – would be sensational enough."
"For this to happen because of his vice-presidential pick, a decision that is usually of next to no consequence, beggars belief."
"The Democrats had to bring all their resources to getting themselves into this fix. They proved equal to the task."
"As I argued last week, Mr Obama’s own initial reaction to the Palin nomination was exactly right."
"All the party had to do was follow his lead. Mr Obama, in effect, would give her enough rope; her inadequacies would reveal themselves in due course; it cost nothing, in the meantime, to be courteous, and to keep pressing on the issues, where the Democrats still enjoy an advantage with most voters."
"Ms Palin’s first television interview last week, an adequate but far from stellar performance, affirmed the wisdom of that course."
"But the Democratic talking-heads had to exult in their disdain for Ms Palin and all she represents – namely, a good part of the electorate whose support Mr Obama needs."
"In the space of a few days, they irreversibly damaged Mr Obama’s candidacy and transformed this election."
"Obama will be president - in 2012."
"Not now."
"He'll get the nomination but his inexperience and, especially, his party will bring him (and them) down."
"The last 8 years of dissing America will blow up in the Dems faces and those in the middle of the country will reject them."
This is a strange time for TMR. Just as it's getting a lot of readers, people are actually coming out of the woodwork and writing e-mails, when, before, I just did the thing and wondered if it was even being read. (Despite tons of visits, there's never been many comments and, even with a stat counter, it's kind of hard to tell what people do when they get here.)
