Casey Heynes: Delivering The Lesson For Us All

Yeah, like it's just kids. This blog's name is hated by many, but what they don't understand is it's called The Macho RESPONSE - not The Bully Boy Blog or The Asshole Corner. It's an answer to the nonsense people dish out - especially NewAgers, those people everyone seems to want to give a pass in life because they come off as so "charming" (when they're nothing of the kind) or benefitting their supporters, which leaves them free to kill and cause trouble.

You'll notice what Casey says about his "friends" when he got attacked - they deserted him - and they probably joined the rest of the abusers out there. I've told the adult version of this story too many times and in too many ways, here, but, if you check the comments, you'll see they've got many ways to continue the abuse, claiming it's not attractive, or a "pity party" or anything but to say "What can we do to help?"

My life has been destroyed by murderers and I still can't understand the rationalizations people come up with to excuse that. Even when I hand them the guy responsible. (And it's been years now. You'll notice that when Ann Althouse got a threatening note - I repeat: a threatening note - from a wimp, it made almost every online media outlet that's ever heard her name - like a lone black guy isn't more exposed and vulnerable than a popular law professor.) And then they expect me to always be nice. What have I gotten from the very start? I get Oh, get over it. Be a man. There must be a reason. And the one I hate the most, "move on".

Could you "move on" from murder?



At some point, we've all got to ask ourselves if our lives on this planet are going to be something we're proud of, or just a clusterfuck that leaves some scarred and others laughing. If it's the latter, then don't complain about the title of this blog, because I'm not backing down. There are massive wrongs going on in this world, and if you're going to stand on the sidelines as it happens, then fuck you:

This Blog Is 5 Years Old (That's 5 Years Ahead)

For some time now, we've been telling you The Macho Response is catching on - even if the blog isn't - and one of this approach's most ringing endorsements has just appeared, courtesy of Dennis Prager:

If you love liberty, you must target the left and put its totalitarian tendencies in your cross hairs. We must shoot down political correctness and wage a crusade for truth and liberty. All those ladies and gentlemen who cherish personal and societal freedom must fight like great Indian chiefs, braving secondhand smoke if need be, in affirming a masculinity that has been under relentless attack. And yes, we must even endure the taunts of our foes and, at the appropriate time of the year, wish fellow Americans a "Merry Christmas."

Then, and only then, will we be able to vanquish lies, defeat the foes of liberty, and once again be able to proudly sing a national anthem that affirms that "the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."

That's absolutely correct:

Do not back down, and leave them nowhere to run.

Proudly shove every damn thing the Left is trying to defeat right back in their faces - while also making them defend their "beliefs" every step of the way. Make them fight for them, if they have any fight in them, even if it means the "new civility" gets tossed aside as easily as they abandon it when it doesn't serve their purposes.

This is The Macho Response, and it is good.

Oh, Don't Listen To THAT Guy: He's CRAZY!

"Homeopathy is unproven and its products should not be sold, a visiting critic of alternative medicine says.

British physicist Simon Singh, who was sued by the British Chiropractic Association for saying their therapies for children were bogus, said yesterday it was 'obvious' that homeopathy 'shouldn't be allowed' and couldn't be regulated by a code of ethics. 'I take a fairly hard line,' he said. 'If anyone is making claims that can't be supported by evidence, these claims should be halted and these practices should be prevented.'

He said recent cases showed that homeopathy — which relies on the principle of 'like treating like' and diluted ingredients — can be dangerous.

Two weeks ago in the US a homeopathic remedy called Zicam, which claimed to treat the common cold, was withdrawn from sale after it was discovered the zinc it contained may have caused more than 900 people to lose their sense of smell.

Critics said the over-the-counter product's side effects had gone unnoticed because of less strict rules for marketing alternative medicine.

Last month a Sydney couple whose baby daughter died after they treated her with homeopathic remedies instead of conventional medicine were found guilty of manslaughter.

'Some homeopaths won't encourage parents to vaccinate children because they take other views on immunity,' Dr Singh said. 'You would think that homeopathy should be safe because there's nothing in it, but the indirect side effects can be severe.'

In an investigation in Britain, he found homeopaths willing to let people travel to West Africa, where malaria is endemic and can kill in days, with only unproven homeopathic protection. 'I don't think people recognise that the vast majority (of homeopathic remedies) is devoid of any active ingredient. It's seen as exotic, traditional, alternative in a lifestyle sense. Celebrities use it. But 200 clinical trials over 200 years later, there is still no good evidence (that) it works.'"

*Constance Cumbey is a well-known Christian Anti-NewAge activist, so we'll be speaking with her about the blog - it's history, perspective, and concerns - but not in the language of the site. Translation:

Constance Cumbey is a lawyer and activist Christian author.

She graduated from the Detroit College of Law, now known as the Michigan State University College of Law in 1975 with a Juris Doctor degree. Prior to her graduation she served as a legislative analyst to speaker of the Michigan House of Representatives, William A. Ryan from 1969 to 1970. In 1971 she was selected as one of 24 National Urban Fellows finalists in a national campaign to find promising urban administration talent.

Cumbey began law school in 1972. Prior to that, she served on the Speaker's Staff of the Michigan House of Representatives, holding the title of "Administrative Assistant and Legislative Analyst to the Speaker of the House." She was one of nine members of that staff. While attending law school, she was employed as a consultant to the Governmental Efficiency Subcommittee of the Appropriations Committee for the Michigan State Senate. She was the first Charter appointee as Executive Assistant to the mayor of the City of Highland Park, Michigan from 1970 to 1972.

Cumbey has been a practicing attorney since 1975, has served as a national officer for the National Association of Women Lawyers, and was before writing her books, an active a member of the American Bar Association. Since returning to the active practice of law in the 1980s, she is an active member of the Macomb and Wayne County Bar associations as well as the mandatory State Bar of Michigan affiliation. She was appointed in 2003 to serve a three year term by the president of the State Bar of Michigan, Tom Ryan, to plan future State Bar meetings. She has continuously been re-appointed to the Public Advisory Committee of the State Bar of Michigan since 1978. They rate judicial candidates for Wayne County and statewide for the Michigan Court of Appeals and Michigan Supreme Court.

From 1992 to 2004, she hosted a popular Detroit radio program known as Law Talk on a Christian station. She does frequent national and international radio interviews, i.e., Israel National Radio, on various topics. She currently hosts an internet radio talk show on www.TheMicroEffect.com and is a columnist for www.NewswithViews.com.



Cumbey began a secondary career as a researcher and writer in 1981, to write about the New Age movement. She gave up her law practice for a while to dedicate herself to writing and public speaking to this end. Her books have been translated into German, Norwegian, and Dutch.

Cumbey's work is presently in the process of archival by the University of Michigan's Bentley Historical Library.

Cumbey's book, The Hidden Dangers of the Rainbow, was one of the earliest writings from a fundamentalist Christian perspective concerning New Age spirituality. Her rejection of New Age spirituality was based on her understanding of Christian teachings regarding the role of Christ as saviour, and of Biblical prophecy. She has also promoted several conspiracy theories in her writings, including the claim that the European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana could be the Antichrist.

Panda Bear, M.D. writes the most amazing shit we have ever read (not that we understand it all, seeing how it can sometimes involve a lot of medical jargon, but no one makes it as fun to learn about "healing," or how dysfunctional the medical system is, as he does) and - as happy as we are to be included in his universe (and it is his universe: we only live in it) - we're even more excited knowing, now, we have something to read that doesn't insult our intelligence!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we told you there was "even bigger breaking news" to come - and, as awesome as it is to be going on the radio, or to have TMR hooked-up with a truly outstanding blog - fuck all that. Paul Newman: 1925-2008

The man once known as "Cool Hand Luke" is dead at 83. He was old school left-wing politics, and though I never bought his silly salad dressing, I have to admit: the amazing characters he played in films will live forever - somewhere deep, deep in my heart - as stunning examples of The Macho Response.

Damn: It's So GROSS To BLOG For Money (Sure)

Just a quick note to say, as I pointed out Monday, this blog is becoming a flash point for some people - a dividing line between those that "believe" things, like dissing America is the way you "help" her, and those of us who "know" things, like - duh - this is our home and, no matter how you feel about religion (and I am clear on how I feel about religion, aren't I?) you don't fuck with our United States as a way to "help". She will not be remade.

Now, I don't want to get all evangelical about it, but as you all know, "money is the mother's milk of politics" and, especially in this election year, America and her supporters need more than cheerleaders. I'm about as proud of the growth of this site as I can be, but using it to drive a stake through the heart of NewAge Liberalism is the goal, and that shit takes donations. I know I've got Christian supporters out there and, yea, that means you too: just think of me as Robert Johnson, returning from "the crossroads", determined to kill the Devil. Determined to kill racism. Determined to kill the agenda of lies that can finally make any American, white or black, or even Christian and atheist, look at each other and say "Yea, let's do this shit."

Monetary denominations don't matter, folks. Don't do anything you can't, and if you can't you can't, who gives a fuck? Believe me, the fact you come by is enough. But if you want to do more - if you want to see something happen in your time that you can point to and say "That's my guy!" - and know it - then do what you can.

Pass this post to a patriot you know can do something (like Rush Limbaugh). While the Democrats are burnishing their traditional image as a bunch of racists, I'll be the Republican Party's spokesman for what's possible in the future. We can do this. A New Beginning

This is a strange time for TMR. Just as it's getting a lot of readers, people are actually coming out of the woodwork and writing e-mails, when, before, I just did the thing and wondered if it was even being read. (Despite tons of visits, there's never been many comments and, even with a stat counter, it's kind of hard to tell what people do when they get here.)

Anyway, some (older) readers say they like the photo breaks - while some (newer) ones find them juvenile. Some people think TMR's the greatest thing since sliced bread - and some think it's the most offensive, Right-wing, misogynistic, self-pitying wallow, by a black conspiracy theorist, they've ever read. What to do? What to do?

Well, in honor of my two favorite blogs - Panda Bear, M.D. and Steve Salerno's SHAMblog - which, last month, both shut their doors (and were, both, by devout believers in Jesus) I've decided to split the difference:

Like Panda Bear, I'm only going to post when I actually have something to say - and can say it clearly - and, like SHAMblog, I'm going to limit the pictures to only one or two per post.

And, like them both, I'm going to make an effort and try to seriously write from now on.

That'll definitely mean there won't be as many posts (because they'll require more polishing and/or "thought") but, hopefully, what I put up will be more illuminating and - without my artist's attraction to semi-solacious photos - more satisfying for everyone involved.

I'll still be changing the daily subtitles (an apparent favorite by all) and the older posts will stay up (because there's over 900 of them, and I can see, bizarrely, the public has a strange attraction to certain posts, though I can hardly fathom why) but, from here on out, things are going to be different - possibly a bit more conventional - and we'll just have to see how it goes. The blog will still be, primarily, about the NewAge (rhymes with sewage) Movement, cults and cultish-thinking, Left-wing/Liberal politics, and their extremely detrimental effects on our society, our politics, and our lives.

Oh - but I must say this: if my stats fall radically, you can bet I'll be slapping my random thoughts back up - filled with cuss words and goofy photos - faster than you can say, "This sucks! I miss the old TMR!"
