Let's say that the consensus is that our species, we being the higher primates -- Homo Sapiens has been on this planet for at least a hundred thousand years. 

In order to be Christian you have to believe that for ninety-eight thousand years our species suffered and died, most of its children dying in childbirth, most other people having a life expectancy of about twenty-five, dying of their teeth, famine, struggle, viciousness, war, suffering, misery, all of that for ninety-eight thousand years, heaven watches it with complete indifference. 

And then, two thousand years ago, thinks, "That's enough of that. We should, it's time to intervene. The best way to do this would be by condemning someone to a human sacrifice, somewhere in the less literate parts of the middle-east." 

Not "Let's appear to the Chinese.",  for example, where people can read and study evidence and have a civilization. "Let's go to the desert and have another revelation there." 

This is nonsense. It can't be believed by a thinking person.

How millions of people, being wrong about the same things, adds up to a *little* I don't know. But, I'm sure, if you're a NewAge narcissist (and you are) you only want to count YOU, and YOU can be a *little* wrong all the time, can't you? Yes you can - no matter who YOU betray in the process. 

What's that? Just like with alternative medicine, forcing others to accept misinformation hurts them? And there's so much of it from people like YOU - always posing as a friend trying to "help" - that's most likely the real reason why they're so unhappy? 

 Gee, that NewAge website - nor the other "shiny happy people" pumping this misery-spreading garbage - never got around to mentioning that possibility. Or these two:

Did any of YOU wonderful caring types ever consider the words "I'm wrong" or "I'm sorry" as a way to cheer others up?

Did you ever consider checking your sources, to get *correct* information, so no one's miserable?

You might want to try it, since you're pretending to be oh-so-fucking-concerned:

"A few weeks ago, I helped my 18-year-old sister move into her freshman dorm at Hillsdale College in Michigan. I was anxious for her -- I worried that the female culture at her school would be similar to that at my own alma mater, Tufts University in Medford, Mass.

As a reserved evangelical from Colorado Springs, Colo., I was shocked by a lot of things at Tufts when I entered in the fall of 2003. What shocked me more than anything, however, was the way women treated other women. I regularly heard young women refer to each other using the most obscene and degrading insults. I observed females encouraging others to binge drink and then berating those who couldn't hold their liquor. At breakfast on the weekends, I often overheard young women discussing their shame after feeling pressured by their girlfriends to participate in a degrading activity, such as a lingerie-themed or 'secretaries and bosses' party. One year, a sorority actually commanded its pledges to strip to their underwear and allow fraternity brothers to mark the physical flaws on their bodies with permanent ink.

Contrary to the feminist narrative about men being responsible for the oppression of women, nearly every instance of female misery I encountered at Tufts seemed to be instigated initially by another woman. My junior year, a controversial joke about rape was published in the student humor journal while a woman was editor in chief.

Such a hostile environment is not unique to Tufts. The Delta Zeta women at DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., last year asked unattractive and unpopular sisters to leave the sorority. In her memoir, 'Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood' (2005), Koren Zailckas, a recent graduate of Syracuse University and a recovering alcoholic, sets a scene of young women at that upstate school not only encouraging one another to drink to the point of illness or blackout as a way to forge friendships but also competing with one another to be the most sexually adventurous.

Ms. Zailckas's bitter experiences and those of countless others should dispel the notion that binge drinking on college campuses -- which inarguably leaves women more vulnerable to sexual assault -- is spurred on solely by frat boys. Step onto just about any college campus on a Saturday night and you will see that women are just as much the culprits."

"A group of Mrs. Clinton's top donors sent a letter to the speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, warning her in language that they no doubt thought subtle but that reflected a kind of incompetent menace, that her statements on the presidential campaign may result in less money for Democratic candidates for the House. Ms. Pelosi had said that in her view the superdelegates should support the presidential candidate who wins the most pledged delegates in state contests. The letter urged her to 'clarify' her position, which is 'clearly untenable' and 'runs counter' to the superdelegates' right to make 'an informed, individual decision' about 'who would be the party's strongest nominee.' The signers, noting their past and huge financial support, suggested that Ms. Pelosi 'reflect' on her comments and amend them to reflect 'a more open view.'



Barack Obama's campaign called it inappropriate and said Mrs. Clinton should 'reject the insinuation.' But why would she? All she has now is bluster. Her supporters put their threat in a letter, not in a private meeting. By threatening Ms. Pelosi publicly, they robbed her of room to maneuver. She has to defy them or back down."
