TMR Vs. TNR: We're Nobody's Media Chumps

Anyone who hasn't noticed the media bias for Barack Obama isn't paying attention. But what exactly does their newfound love tell you? It should tell you only that the media is fickle, like a girl with a mirror and two boyfriends, because that same crew of intrepid "reporters" were, not too long ago, "in the tank" for John McCain - at least, they were as long as they thought he was losing to a Republican. Now that he's done the things that are actually necessary to win the Republican nomination (repeat after me: "I believe in God") they claim he's changed; but the truth is, it's the media that changes - wildly - much the same way wind shifts in a hurricane. And they don't investigate those they fall in love with.

No, our ink stained scribes always, always, always expect us - the, oh, so ignorant and naive voting public - to go along with what they tell us. Like, I'm a black guy, right? What the hell do I know? I'm supposed to go with the Democrat, no matter who it is, right? Riiiiight.

Going along with the media is a game for chumps - which is why Americans rarely ever do it. The press pays no price for being wrong. This is the same media that, on a daily basis, feeds us nonsense NewAge beliefs without serious questioning about whether or not it's healthy to have a large portion of any society engaging in such delusional thinking. (Thinking the hippie-dippy press, itself, obviously endorses and engages in.) This is the same press corps that blew a fuse when a punk named Matt Drudge (above) became a bazillionaire from digging through trash cans to determine what the real news was - and started spreading the word it wasn't what the media was selling. Whether it was the war in Iraq (cheerleading us into it and, then, wrong about The Surge) the last two presidential elections (it was going to be Gore, and then Kerry, remember?) or (more recently) what's been going on with sub-prime mortgages, the media was always wrong; only capable of creating an impressionist painting of what's occurring, and demanding you admire their attention to detail to agree with it, when standing away from the canvas is the only way to see their dot work "clearly".

Now they're making noises like Barack Obama has got it clinched. All the polls are leaning to the string bean black Senator (because of the mind games of groups like The Daily Kos) and even the The New Republic's Howard Wolfson (above) recently declared, "It's Over". Oh-kay. Not exactly "the people have spoken", that one, but just more of the same contrariness the media's always displayed. As a matter of fact, The New Republic, that bi-monthly bastion of Liberal mediathink (since 1914) is a perfect example of exactly how schizophrenic they can seem if you don't know how to understand what you're reading. Check this out:

"He certainly had some better answers on the economy."

-- Franklin Foer, The New Republic's editor, on John McCain's performance during the second debate with Barack Obama, in The New Republic.

Doesn't exactly fit the narrative, of Barack Obama being a better choice during these troubled times, does it? Of course not, but what they really think is always slipping out anyway, hidden between the lines of crap they spew to get you to thinking what they want you to think. And they want you to think Barack Obama's going to win. Why? Barack Obama sells copy, for now - why else? Their job is to sell magazines, not give you the truth.

"True, Ayers apparently had a small party for Obama back in 1995; true, Ayers gave some small sum of money to one of Obama's campaigns; and true, Ayers and Obama simultaneously served, for a time, on a board of a local organization, the Woods Fund, which helps disadvantaged children. But there was nothing even vaguely like a close relationship between them."

-- Cass Sunstein, showing he wouldn't know his ass from a hole in the ground, except if you called it The New Republic.

"A Board"? Singular? Really? That's all? What about The Chicago Annenberg Challenge we've heard so much about? Looks like Mr. Sunstein left that one out. Or that both were at Columbia University at the same time. And the ACORN connections between Obama and Ayers? We now know the money their foundations for "disadvantaged children" (like Woods) and "education" (like Annenberg) never went to anyone but groups like ACORN - and to Ayers himself. Is this guy, Sunstein, kidding?

His claim that Ayers threw "a small party for Obama"? Puh-leaze! It was only the launching of Obama's political career! And there's even a lie attached to that because Barack claimed the person he was succeeding politically, a woman named Patterson, set it up - a claim she denied - and we also now know (with no help from Liberal papers) that Michelle Obama and Ayers's terrorist wife, Bernardine Dorne, worked in the Chicago law firm Sidley Austin together as far back as 1987. No, there's no way these guys are friends! How about the book blurb Obama wrote for Ayers? Indicates nothing: they hardly know each other I tell ya. Ayers speaking in Venezuela two years ago, declaring education is how you radicalize kids? What - he was joking?

Does Cass Sunstein even know what "journalism" is? Come on, people, there's no way The New Republic, or their brethren on the press plane, are giving us anything close to the truth on this - or on, pretty much, anything else.

Let's continue on to race and how The New Republic views the race:

"Maybe McCain has been playing for a bankshot here: Stir up enough nastiness on the right that you goad Obama supporters into crying racism, then righteously denounce the playing of the race card, as Team McCain did this summer, when Obama suggested the GOP would try to make people scared of him."

-- Noam Scheiber, wondering what John McCain could possibly be up to, racially, since he's obviously not ordering a copy of The New Republic.

As a black man, you know I love this one: even when admitting it was Barack Obama who brought race into the election ("this summer") Scheiber never mentions it's Obama with Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, and Michael Pfleger behind him - heùs too busy plotting how it must be McCain who's the racist! Now it's an imagined racial "bankshot" Mac's trying for, when last week it was "code words" (because Liberals didn't hear any actual words) and, before that, it was the media's replaying of Obama's charge to watch out - racism's coming!

And do I need to point out that Scheiber, this fan of the friend of Farrakhan, is Jewish? Wild. A man could probably make a lot of money engaging in the necessary psychoanalytical work these poor tortured souls need. They see racists against black people everywhere - but, especially, hiding in the space between their ears. Can there be any doubt why so many white people seem to, ultimately, hate themselves?

Folks, my point is there's a reality the media (represented here by The New Republic) is trying to mold and, if you fall for it, then you're doing the country, and yourself, a major disservice. Stand back a little bit from the impressionist image they've created and it's easy to see the man with the economic plan is John McCain - they said so! The man in cahoots with criminals is Barack Obama - we know so! The man who's playing the race card is the political left and Barack Obama - The New Republic said it and we know so! Add in ACORN (voter fraud) Tony Rezko (who's in prison) and Odinga (genocide) and we're continuing to get a more realistic picture of Barack Obama: as a man who may sell a lot of copy but has absolutely no place in the Oval Office.

Don't be a sap - we're the American people - and we won't be media chumps.

Taking A Ride On The Neocon Express

"If you applied for a low or mid-level government job that required a mid-level security clearance, and in your background they found associations with terrorist William Ayres who bombed the Pentagon, with convicted felon Tony Rezko, the racist Reverend Wright and Louis Farrakhan... significant past drug use and a dual US-Kenyan citizenship... simply put, you would not be given that security clearance and you would not get the job.

On the other hand, there would be no problem for you to become President of the United States and be the boss of all of those folks with security clearances. Welcome to 'Theatre of the absurd'; welcome to the United States 2008."

-- Joe Gelman, a great American who proves it daily, as the conductor of the Neocon Express. All of the following was taken from his wonderful, and totally addicting, pro-American neoconservative site:

TMR: It's All About Reality (Barack Obama's)

As I'm bouncing around the mediasphere today, one of the things that struck me is just how much Barack Obama sits at the center of the world's problems right now. Racism? Well, he's got Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, and Michael Pleger in his corner. Corruption? His pal, Tony Rezko, is supposedly singing like a bird to the FBI. The world's financial trouble's? Obama's up to his neck in Fannie and Freddie, and continues to advocate for the very economic policies that made the collapse of financial markets possible. Terrorism? Hello, Billy Boy Ayers. And I could keep right on going. Barack Obama is like a one man zeitgeist of disaster.

I wrote yesterday that the wheels are flying off his campaign - and it's still true - because 25 days still remain in this election and not only are his lies starting to add up to something average Americans can see but, all over America, people are now digging for the truth he refuses to reveal. And, I know, somebody's going to pull at that one thread that causes the whole ugly quilt of deception to come apart. It always does. That's how the world works. And anyone in Obama's camp who's hoping it doesn't happen,...well, as the Christians say, there's a special place in Hell for you because keeping the truth from your fellow man is probably the lowest, and most maddening, thing one can do. Such people possess a cynicism about life I never want to internalize - politics be damned - because, even in joy, their minds are as corrupt and corrosive as any of the world's tinhorn dictators.

So I'll just wait. Wait for it all to come crashing down around Barack Obama's head. With the nasty types of allies he's cultivated, I'm sure there'll be one little thing that, naturally, exposes another one of Barack's lies (they just keep coming) and that will just as naturally lead to some ugly entity, like The Daily Kos (or George Soros) or some unlikely incident. And that will take us - mesmerized - to the press, or Hollywood, or someone who's been laying down cover in the Democratic Party, which has always advocated for the semi-socialist, European-style policies that are also getting exposed (Hello, Barney Frank!) as the guiding hand of the world's economic meltdown. Trust me on this (since I keep coming correct about current events and causality:) this kind of crap feeds on itself. So those of us on the right side of life can relax - a new dawn is coming: 25 days are an eternity in politics. And, while Barry's a cool customer, he's also an idiot - and a terrible liar. He can't last. The various exposed facets of his belief system - especially the Oprah-inspired tenets of NewAge - won't let him. His whole life is already a lie. The dummy started off questioning his blackness, and stupidly made moves so he could be "down" - now you know there's no way life will be allowing him to move on. That's not how it works. No matter how he tries to hide it, now, Barack Obama will always be exactly what he practiced to be: a fake, and a fraud, and a friend to evil. That's how he assumed it was done.

So it's just a matter of time.

Now Louis Farrakhan Speaks: Barack Obama Is "The Messiah" & He Has "Captured" The Youth

Feeling good yet, white people? I know you've got good intentions but I - a black man - am confident you won't let that over-rule your good sense. "How many ghouls must jump out of the Obama campaign's closet, before you come to your senses?" is the question. "Who are the racists, here?" is another. Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, Michael Pfleger, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers - you've got 26 days to decide:

Is this the future you want?

Barack Obama - AGAIN: I Didn't Know

Considering the Obama's connections with Ayers and Dorne go back to 1987, this response is tedious - and not even a little credible: he didn't know about Tony Rezko, he didn't know about Jeremiah Wright, he didn't know about Father Pfleger, he didn't know about ACORN, and now he didn't know about Bill Ayers. Is he deaf, dumb and blind? Even if we take him at his word on all these guys, it still raises a simple question:

Do you want a total sap for president?

The New Game: Pin The Tail On The Donkey

"Allies are not just people who happen to be where you are or who happen to be doing the same things you do. You choose allies deliberately for a reason. The kind of allies you choose says something about you.

Jeremiah Wright, Father Michael Pfleger, William Ayers and Antoin Rezko are not just people who happened to be at the same place at the same time as Barack Obama. They are people with whom he chose to ally himself for years, and with some of whom some serious money changed hands.

Some gave political support, and some gave financial support, to Obama’s election campaigns, and Obama in turn contributed either his own money or the taxpayers’ money to some of them. That is a familiar political alliance–but an alliance is not just an “association” from being at the same place at the same time.

Obama could have allied himself with all sorts of other people. But, time and again, he allied himself with people who openly expressed their hatred of America. No amount of flags on his campaign platforms this election year can change that."

-- Thomas Sowell, shooting a big-assed hole in the Democrat's "guilt by association" meme - since he's a patriotic black American known for peddling "code words" and "veiled racism" - as well as Real Clear Politics.

He only put it on because pressure was added. Pressure coming from:

Who's Your Daddy?

"The difference here is clear. John McCain has been open and honest about the Keating matter, and even the Democratic special counsel in charge recommended that Senator McCain be completely exonerated. By contrast, Barack Obama has been fundamentally dishonest about his friendship and work with the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, whose radical group bombed the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol. Nor has Barack Obama come clean on his close friendship with Tony Rezko, a felon convicted on bribery charges who subsidized the purchase of Barack Obama’s home."

-- Brian Rogers, stating the case pretty clearly, to Politico.com.

I wonder why the Obama campaign keeps bringing up the Keating scandal when McCain was exonerated: they must think the American people are stupid. The younger voters may not remember it - of course, Obama's playing them for fools - but the older voters certainly do. McCain didn't do anything wrong. It was that mere appearance of impropriety that launched McCain's anti-corruption efforts. He's never hid it. How cynical does Obama's campaign have to be to twist that into being the equal of helping scum like Bill Ayers? That's not only truly sick but it's a lie - and it shows how low Obama and his supporters will go. Guilt by association? Puh-leaze. John McCain has been in politics for 30 years:

Barack Obama is, still, just getting started and Bill Ayers has been there all the way.

Conservatives: Fuck The Bullshit - ATTACK!!!

After watching a few different news programs, including Olbermann and Matthews, I'm under the impression average Americans can see what was happening: it was a normal woman vs. a seasoned veteran of the United States Senate. If that's the framework people are judging by, Sarah Palin didn't do badly. She was in the game. (I even found myself cheering her on from time-to-time.) She never gave up. We shouldn't either.

I admit, I was judging the debate as a news junkie, and (lies and diversions aside) Biden's polish seemed overwhelming. But Sarah Palin is Main Street America - she, and John McCain, are essentially "good" - maybe better than the rest of us. That's what they're running on and, honestly, that's what America wants. That's what America needs. That's what I want. That's what America deserves: Mr. and Mrs. Smith Go To Washington.

So maybe I was wrong. Maybe this thing is still on and it's back to a two man race - McCain and Obama - and if that's so, then John McCain needs to up his game: go on the attack; forget about "honor" for a while, and now get into the fight: attack Obama, head-on, with Ayers, Wright, Rezko, and everything else conservatives want to see. Get in the mud, like a negative image of liberalism - think Michael Moore and Oliver Stone. It's time to start playing to win. It's all on the line now. Fuck the bullshit: let's make sure Gwen Ifill has a bad book release!

The McCain campaign - and this nation's conservatives - should get down and dirty and mean. Get as dirty as the libs have been. Run the table like only Republicans know how to do. I mean, despite cries for a fair campaign, the other side (with the aid of the media) hasn't cared about political ethics - and there can only be one winner, right? So we play "hardball" now. Play American politics the way it's usually played: that means no more Mr. Nice Guy, acting like there's rules and correct behavior. The other side don't care: we don't have to either. Not in defense of our country.

McCain IS a nice guy - as we all are: we're the good guys! - but fuck losing: that shit ain't an option! We know we're outnumbered - the media's made that clear. They've been starting a fucking cult around this Obama joker! Ever seen "Night of the Living Dead"? Well we treat 'em like the zombies they so desperately want to be!

From here on out, we start kicking ass, and we don't stop - not even after they start screaming "Uncle"! Step on their fucking necks. Blow out what little brains they have. They don't care so we don't care. It's time to start eatting their fucking blood!*

I'm ready! Let's fucking go! We're bringing home some scalps now! Bringing the heat! This is America! Let's get on the stick!

It's time conservatives start making the memories of our Mommas and Daddys proud!

*These are all metaphors, people, don't be doing anything stupid,...

Question: Why No Conservative Moderators?

"The Obama and McCain campaigns have agreed to an unusual free-flowing format for the three televised presidential debates, which begin Friday, but the McCain camp fought for and won a much more structured approach for the questioning at the vice-presidential debate, advisers to both campaigns said Saturday.

...The wrangling was chiefly between the McCain-Palin camp and the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates, which is sponsoring the forums.

...The campaigns had no say over the choice of moderators — Jim Lehrer of PBS, Tom Brokaw of NBC and Bob Schieffer of CBS for the presidential debates, and Gwen Ifill of PBS for the vice-presidential debate."

-- Patrick Healy, acting like there's not a big hole in this line-up, while reporting for the New York Times.

Are you going to tell me there's not going to be one - not one - conservative moderator in the debates? After this season of outrageous mainstream journalism high-jinks? They have GOT to be kidding!?! Let Rush Limbaugh, or Mark Levin, or Sean Hannity, have at 'em! This choice of moderators insures that topics conservatives want brought up - Rezko, Wright, Farrakhan, Pflieger, the Annenberg Foundation, ACORN - and Bill Ayers - will not get a hearing before the American people!

Jim Lehrer and Gwen Ifill are fine, but Tom Brokaw repeated the "Jesus was a community organizer" line already, and Bob Schieffer said something partisan one day, too.

Come on! There is just no way this can be seen as fair, or nonpartisan at all,...

Sarah Palin: Running With A Bad Crowd

So this is the crew that has every "progressive" in America (and the rest of the world?) in an uproar. You know the "progressives" don't you? The people who aren't worried about Barack Obama's associations with convicted criminals, like Tony Rezko, or a domestic terrorist, like Bill Ayers, or racists and race-baiters, like Al Sharpton, Michael Pflieger, Jeremiah Wright, and Louis Farrakhan? As a matter of fact, the "progressives" are insisting there's something very wrong with you if you pay any attention to Barack's guys and don't start seriously focusing on these clowns - they're DANGEROUS!!!

I don't know. I mean, I agree, they look like they might be able to do the U.S. a lot of damage - by making us all Christmas cookies with waaay too much sugar - but, beyond that, whatever other harmful effects they might want to inflict on us seems to be flying pretty low on the radar. And I should know, because I've spent quite a bit of time around some damn crafty (and totally disingenuous) characters, like drug dealers, NewAgers, left-wing political types, and other assorted gangsters. I could be wrong but, if you ask me, these guys just don't fit.

Still, as a former liberal, I'm willing to do my part - so listen up, America, the word has gone out: if you're dumb enough to think the overly-grinning bozos above will do the right thing by us, then the "progressives" of the world were smart to spread all those bogus, shifty-eyed stories, about the most popular governor in the country having her own kid's baby, book banning, religious fanaticism, and a hidden agenda to take over the world. The papers were right to repeat them, too.

"Progressives" only used such under-handed tactics because they've always had our best interests at heart; and, I guess, one look at these folks and any fool should have all the proof they need to finally know what's what:

This is the face of America's Real Enemy, and - no matter what - they're definitely the ones not to be trusted.

Really: the rest of us are just too simple to have figured that out on our own.

Obama Started It (What An Idiot!)

What did I tell you?

A Big, Big, Mistake: Barack Obama Has Allowed The Ugly, Ugly, Subject Of Tony Rezko To Move, Move, To The Front Of The Line, Line (Yea!)

"I consider this a mistake on my part and I regret it."

-- Barack Obama, on his land deal with the convicted felon, Tony Rezko, in the Chicago Sun-Times

"Does a guy who made more than $4 million last year, just got back from vacation on a private beach in Hawaii and bought his own million-dollar mansion with the help of a convicted felon really want to get into a debate about houses?"

-- Brian Rogers, spokesman for the McCain campaign, in the Washington Post

Get some good rain gear, Dems: this is going to get bloody,...
