Since I’m on punishment at Facebook (again - Thanks, Dad) I’m putting some links, here, so readers can still “get the picture” without the artist being around.

The New Republic’s got an article called “A Decade Of Liberal Delusion And Failure” that doesn’t try to wrestle with that headline, as it limits itself to the left’s political maneuverings, and not the crazy people behind them. The prison sentence, just handed down to Brazils “John of God” for multiple rapes, after he was “once promoted by Oprah, and carried out treatments on Bill Clinton” is a fine year-ending example of how we discover “the gang’s all here!” - exactly where they shouldn’t be - and also shows how difficult it is to take, and escape their influence. I mean, this is a story about Brazil, for goodness’ sake.

It doesn't matter. Just as we’ve seen, and heard, around a Harvey Weinstein, or a Jeffery Epstein, an Anthony Weiner, or Ed Buck, The Democrat Party is made up of some dark characters doing very dark things - indefensible things - while posing as trying to help. It makes me wonder what their supporters even think they’re fighting for, when the reality’s right there, for anyone to see:

They're a sex cult.

 

When The New Republic WAS A Great Magazine 2 Read

A white man who didn't get regularly criticised by his black friends

Why - since it served so much racist conservatism - is The New Republic referred to as a "liberal" magazine? Because it once was:

There was a time in TNR’s earlier history when the magazine was famous—or infamous in some circles—for the race articles by its firebrand Managing Editor demanding immediate and full racial equality. That man was my father, Thomas Sancton (Sr.), who served as M.E. from 1942 to 1945.

During those years,  Sancton published dozens of articles denouncing segregation and taking to task the timidity of most other liberals on the race question. I can’t say whether his personal passion for racial equality represented TNR’s editorial position at the time—the main focus then was on the war against Hitler—but Sancton took advantage of his rank to place his own articles in the magazine throughout his tenure. “I controlled the pages,” he once told me, “so I could publish whatever I wanted.”

Sancton was almost unique among southern liberals for his radical stand on the race question. Among other things, he wrote about lynchings, race riots, the so-called Negro Press, the work of black writers, the northward migration of southern blacks. He even called FDR to task for not speaking out against segregation and racial discrimination, an article that Eleanor Roosevelt herself promised to “bring to the attention of the President.” He befriended prominent black intellectuals, including W.E.B. Du Bois, Ralph Ellison, Langston Hughes, Roi Ottley, Henry Lee Moon. His race articles were denounced on the floor of the House of Representatives by the segregationist congressman John Rankin—a call-out that he wore as a badge of honor—and attracted the attention of Henry Luce, who hired him away from TNR to write about racial issues for LIFE.

And Mr. Sancton's fine dedication to blacks - and America - is a wonderful example of why the word "whites" is, today, said in quotes,...

It's bizarre, once you become familiar with white folks online, how disappointing they can be as intellectuals. I guess it's inevitable, seeing how whites can be trained to fear the truth, but still - you'd think there was something, other than just loading us up with words, that would justify their positions, both as employable people AND as those anyone should've heard from in the first place. Take the writers at our richly-rewarded New Republic:

I recently got another email on the perils of thinking of myself as a "victim" - apparently the absolute worst thing whites think can happen to a black person, filled as they are with the need to tack happy endings onto any story, no matter how brutal. The idea that recognizable whites have recognizable jobs and positions, that blacks can recognize whites don't deserve - but who are promoted to blacks as ideals we should shoot for - and that makes our unemployed asses a victim every day we have to look at them, never occurs. Think about it:

Without white's segregation, and discrimination, and all the mind games they play - today - to avoid hard discussions (or else they freak out) who and where would these people be? 

These are people who are regularly wrong. People who are leading to the country's downfall. People who get (and got) other people hurt or killed. People who cause/caused us to gag. And people who can't be touched - except by each other.

Right now whites are mourning the death of The New Republic, a 100 year old magazine, with no blacks, that promoted racism - whites didn’t notice anything wrong.

1000s of Nazis were allowed to live in America, with Social Security included, while whites discriminated against American blacks up to and including raping and hanging - and it still hasn't occurred to the whites I know that juxtapositioning was wrong.

Blacks also weren't allowed to vote until 100 years after the laws were on the books - while white folks didn’t notice the wrong and even had to be urged, by MLK at his most eloquent, to see it.

And, today, Sean Hannity (as ignorant as the day is long) is "leading" televised conversations on race - and few whites see anything terribly wrong. They just don't see it.

I'm watching white men insisting, when they are falsely accused of rape by white women (Lena Dunham and Rolling Stone) it’s an outrage, while - historically - that's the reality white men and women have been foisting on black men for centuries. And they just don't see how they look as they battle and cry. They just don't see it.

The lynching photo on my last post went with a story about a white pr firm that didn't know the racist history behind the name they chose, "Strange Fruit." My last post was a reflection of my frustration: “I honestly don’t know what to say.” But then, I’m not a writer: I’m an artist-turned-blogger, trapped in a seemingly impossible situation created by others.

And so it'll go, until the whole God-damned bunch falls,...

I just checked, and Ann Althouse is still blogging up a storm on what's happening in The New Republic (AKA the South Africa of American magazines) but not anything about Eric Garner, Michael Brown, the police, or race - that story's so old now! (It's once again falling behind Althouse's all-time-more-important-white topics, like feminism, gay marriage, and whatever else whites decide to put before justice for blacks after 400 years in America.)

Sigh. God, I hate this place - and the bind these people put blacks in - with a passion. With real allies we could've truly been done with all this by now.

But, of course, that's nothing TNR or Althouse will ever be truly concerned about,...

Gee: shouldn't the Washington Times have added what color Eric Holder is? You know, just to balance it out? And why, since I'm sure they're "colorblind" and all, did they highlight David Clarke's race? And why - in a media environment filled with racial mind games - do white people hate being called "white" so much? If it's good enough for a "black Milwaukee sheriff" (and I've heard no complaints) why not Ann Althouse, white Madison law professor? Oh yeah: I've been told it's racist to do that.

I don't know what they're doing to Wisconsin's water but, whatever it is, it's wrong. A lot of right-of-center white people are talking about the break-up of The New Republic, but the most fascinating thing about it is their sincere concern for what was now a historically "sloppy" and racist publication, best exemplified by the crazy career of Wisconsin's own Ruth Shalit. Really, white people, you don't know how good you've got it - especially in Wisconsin: black sheriffs who feel disgust for black people. White women who feel disgust for black people. It sounds like paradise, for everyone but black people.

Many white people, continuing to deliver the wrong response, seem to have locked onto cigarette taxes for the death of Eric Garner. See, if the tax hadn't been so high, he wouldn't have had a market for loosies - simple, huh? Not as simple as, if the government and white people didn't practice multiple centuries worth of discrimination against blacks, the Eric Garner's of the world wouldn't need to sell loosies to begin with. But then, history's rarely white's strong suit these days. Passing the buck is what's "in":

It's Almost Over (Except For Their Convictions: Not Their NewAge Beliefs - The Jail Time They're Supposed To Do For Blowing Our Green Money)

Awww, The New Republic is wondering "Has The Green Movement Been A Miserable Flop?" To which I'll say, why yes. Yes it has, certainly:

What the hell went wrong? For months now, environmentalists have been asking themselves that question, and it’s easy to see why. After Barack Obama vaulted into the White House in 2008, it really did look like the United States was, at long last, going to do something about global warming. Scientists were united on the causes and perils of climate change. Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth had stoked public concern. Green groups in D.C. had rallied around a consensus solution—a cap-and-trade program for carbon emissions—and had garnered support from a few major companies like BP and Duke Energy. Both Obama and his opponent, John McCain, were on board. And, so, environmental advocates prepared a frontal assault on Congress. May as well order the victory confetti, right?

Instead, the climate push was … a total flop.

You can go and read why The New Republic thinks that's happened for yourselves, but it seems pretty obvious to me - starting with maybe, just maybe, the American people don't like being pushed around? (I bet they never thought of that,...) Or maybe, just maybe, there's a clue in these two headlines from The Drudge Report:

TMR Vs. TNR: We're Nobody's Media Chumps

Anyone who hasn't noticed the media bias for Barack Obama isn't paying attention. But what exactly does their newfound love tell you? It should tell you only that the media is fickle, like a girl with a mirror and two boyfriends, because that same crew of intrepid "reporters" were, not too long ago, "in the tank" for John McCain - at least, they were as long as they thought he was losing to a Republican. Now that he's done the things that are actually necessary to win the Republican nomination (repeat after me: "I believe in God") they claim he's changed; but the truth is, it's the media that changes - wildly - much the same way wind shifts in a hurricane. And they don't investigate those they fall in love with.

No, our ink stained scribes always, always, always expect us - the, oh, so ignorant and naive voting public - to go along with what they tell us. Like, I'm a black guy, right? What the hell do I know? I'm supposed to go with the Democrat, no matter who it is, right? Riiiiight.

Going along with the media is a game for chumps - which is why Americans rarely ever do it. The press pays no price for being wrong. This is the same media that, on a daily basis, feeds us nonsense NewAge beliefs without serious questioning about whether or not it's healthy to have a large portion of any society engaging in such delusional thinking. (Thinking the hippie-dippy press, itself, obviously endorses and engages in.) This is the same press corps that blew a fuse when a punk named Matt Drudge (above) became a bazillionaire from digging through trash cans to determine what the real news was - and started spreading the word it wasn't what the media was selling. Whether it was the war in Iraq (cheerleading us into it and, then, wrong about The Surge) the last two presidential elections (it was going to be Gore, and then Kerry, remember?) or (more recently) what's been going on with sub-prime mortgages, the media was always wrong; only capable of creating an impressionist painting of what's occurring, and demanding you admire their attention to detail to agree with it, when standing away from the canvas is the only way to see their dot work "clearly".

Now they're making noises like Barack Obama has got it clinched. All the polls are leaning to the string bean black Senator (because of the mind games of groups like The Daily Kos) and even the The New Republic's Howard Wolfson (above) recently declared, "It's Over". Oh-kay. Not exactly "the people have spoken", that one, but just more of the same contrariness the media's always displayed. As a matter of fact, The New Republic, that bi-monthly bastion of Liberal mediathink (since 1914) is a perfect example of exactly how schizophrenic they can seem if you don't know how to understand what you're reading. Check this out:

Doesn't exactly fit the narrative, of Barack Obama being a better choice during these troubled times, does it? Of course not, but what they really think is always slipping out anyway, hidden between the lines of crap they spew to get you to thinking what they want you to think. And they want you to think Barack Obama's going to win. Why? Barack Obama sells copy, for now - why else? Their job is to sell magazines, not give you the truth.

"True, Ayers apparently had a small party for Obama back in 1995; true, Ayers gave some small sum of money to one of Obama's campaigns; and true, Ayers and Obama simultaneously served, for a time, on a board of a local organization, the Woods Fund, which helps disadvantaged children. But there was nothing even vaguely like a close relationship between them."

"A Board"? Singular? Really? That's all? What about The Chicago Annenberg Challenge we've heard so much about? Looks like Mr. Sunstein left that one out. Or that both were at Columbia University at the same time. And the ACORN connections between Obama and Ayers? We now know the money their foundations for "disadvantaged children" (like Woods) and "education" (like Annenberg) never went to anyone but groups like ACORN - and to Ayers himself. Is this guy, Sunstein, kidding?

His claim that Ayers threw "a small party for Obama"? Puh-leaze! It was only the launching of Obama's political career! And there's even a lie attached to that because Barack claimed the person he was succeeding politically, a woman named Patterson, set it up - a claim she denied - and we also now know (with no help from Liberal papers) that Michelle Obama and Ayers's terrorist wife, Bernardine Dorne, worked in the Chicago law firm Sidley Austin together as far back as 1987. No, there's no way these guys are friends! How about the book blurb Obama wrote for Ayers? Indicates nothing: they hardly know each other I tell ya. Ayers speaking in Venezuela two years ago, declaring education is how you radicalize kids? What - he was joking?

Does Cass Sunstein even know what "journalism" is? Come on, people, there's no way The New Republic, or their brethren on the press plane, are giving us anything close to the truth on this - or on, pretty much, anything else.

Let's continue on to race and how The New Republic views the race:

"Maybe McCain has been playing for a bankshot here: Stir up enough nastiness on the right that you goad Obama supporters into crying racism, then righteously denounce the playing of the race card, as Team McCain did this summer, when Obama suggested the GOP would try to make people scared of him."

As a black man, you know I love this one: even when admitting it was Barack Obama who brought race into the election ("this summer") Scheiber never mentions it's Obama with Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, and Michael Pfleger behind him - heùs too busy plotting how it must be McCain who's the racist! Now it's an imagined racial "bankshot" Mac's trying for, when last week it was "code words" (because Liberals didn't hear any actual words) and, before that, it was the media's replaying of Obama's charge to watch out - racism's coming!

And do I need to point out that Scheiber, this fan of the friend of Farrakhan, is Jewish? Wild. A man could probably make a lot of money engaging in the necessary psychoanalytical work these poor tortured souls need. They see racists against black people everywhere - but, especially, hiding in the space between their ears. Can there be any doubt why so many white people seem to, ultimately, hate themselves?

Folks, my point is there's a reality the media (represented here by The New Republic) is trying to mold and, if you fall for it, then you're doing the country, and yourself, a major disservice. Stand back a little bit from the impressionist image they've created and it's easy to see the man with the economic plan is John McCain - they said so! The man in cahoots with criminals is Barack Obama - we know so! The man who's playing the race card is the political left and Barack Obama - The New Republic said it and we know so! Add in ACORN (voter fraud) Tony Rezko (who's in prison) and Odinga (genocide) and we're continuing to get a more realistic picture of Barack Obama: as a man who may sell a lot of copy but has absolutely no place in the Oval Office.

Don't be a sap - we're the American people - and we won't be media chumps.
