My Goodness! You Don't Say? Shocking!

"On the Web, the thinking of cults can spread very rapidly and suddenly a cult which was 12 people who had some deep personal issues suddenly find a formula which is very believable ... a sort of conspiracy theory of sorts and which you can imagine spreading to thousands of people and being deeply damaging."

-- Tim Berners-Lee, the founder of the Web, suggesting websites should be rated for accuracy, on Yahoo! Tech.

I like how the subject of cults keeps coming up, over and over again, around Obama, and Oprah, Scientology, or homeopathy, and Reiki, etc., but nobody really speaks of it as an issue to be dealt with. (Actually, I don't like it, BTW.) TMR applauds professor Berners-Lee for, both, saying this - and considering a solution for, at least, this aspect of this very-serious problem. More people should be just as concerned.
