Ron Silver died this morning from cancer. He first came to our attention on television's liberal comedy, “Rhoda,” and then went on to a very productive acting career on stage and in Hollywood. In later years, especially after 9/11, he spoke out forcefully, gracefully - and often - about conservative principles, surprising all who thought they knew him from his many film roles. For, both, his art and his contribution to American politics, Ron Silver will forever be an inspiration.

ReplyDeleteGod bless Ron Silver, he was a 'Liberal' who came to his senses about Jihadis and Dictators. He knew they would destroy America, and Hollywood if they could. He realized that if America goes down the tubes, then the whole planet is doomed.
You were great Ron! Time Cop, Arrival, Wiseguy, and The West Wing among many were particularly good. Thank you for everything, especially your courage, RIP.
