Three things, real fast, and I'm gone:
1) I don't quote The New York Times much anymore, but our morons have flipped the script enough that even the NYT can crow:
And now that the pain that was dismissed as a trifle on Monday, a “slimdown” according to the chuckleheads at Fox News, is revealed as tragic by mid-week, the very radicals who caused the havoc are trying to say it’s not their fault.

...Politically, the shutdown is terrible for a party trying to rebrand itself. When Bobby Jindal said Republicans have to “stop being the party of stupid,” he swallowed a teaspoon of common sense. That’s been washed away by a river of stupid.”
2) Here's what I just wrote at Lem's a little while ago:
3) And, if we don't get serious about killing the West's cult problem, we will have a bigger one on our hands - grey emphasis mine:

ReplyDeleteThese people have infiltrated more than many know -- so while a person may be horrified by them, they have been fighting their battles for them. Because the people they have been supporting are cozy with them.
From what my husband tells me about what his grandpa told him, this is how it got started in another country across the globe, a long, but not that long, time ago.
I would encourage sensible conservatives (and liberals), if there are any left, to realize just what they have been supporting (because the general gist is much the same on both sides, and equally as bad) -- get away from it while there is still a sliver of a hope.
