One of the joys of age is not getting all worked up about one's looks (which, come on, are not those of a nubile 20 something or even acceptable 30 something anymore -- life is good).

And one of the joys of being brought up the way I was is not feeling insecure in telling the good witch to back the hell off of my guy (my husband used to get it confused with jealousy; had to have it explained to him that it's being territorial -- there's a difference! haha!) but that shit doesn't happen anymore, because we're old -- any fights we have now concern paying the heat on time, fixing the toilet promptly, what to make for dinner...this is a far better thing
