The Usefulness Of A College Education

"We have too much information. This is the problem. We're deranging ourselves and we're completely undoing all the superstructure of the world."

 - Harvard mathematician, Dr. Eric Weinstein, saying the use of smartphones is overwhelming us (2025)

"Too much information, running through my brain/Too much information, driving me insane."

All For Nothing (Nothing For All)

How can you say that you're not responsible? What does it have to do with me? What is my reaction, what should it be? Confronted by this latest atrocity

Driven to tears

Hide my face in my hands/Shame wells in my throat/My comfortable existence is reduced to a shallow meaningless party. Seems that when some innocent die, all we can offer them is a page in a some magazine. Too many cameras and not enough food. This is what we've seen

Driven to tears

Protest is futile/Nothing gets through. What's to become of our world? Who knows what to do?

I'm Always Looking Behind (Something's Always There)

Even blogging, I'm starting to feel like I don't have much in common with others.

The hints that's true are everywhere:
“Here’s what goes through my head like a ticker-tape: What kind of leader am I? I can’t even get my own shit together. It’s hard to publicly admit that you’re failing or feeling bad – especially when the blogosphere seems to be on a frog-march of relentless positivity. Cupcakes and unicorns! Awesomesauce! Happyhappyjoyjoy!”

"What kind of leader am I?" is NOT on my list of 99 Problems.

My fucking truck is more important.

Some have said, like Krishnamurti, I'm trying to start my own cult (knowingly using the charge as a gambit) but I don't know at this point what, they think, I would preach.

Disdain, maybe?

My only true connection with Krishnamurti is knowing what beat I'm marching to:
"I maintain that truth is a pathless land, and you cannot approach it by any path whatsoever, by any religion, by any sect. That is my point of view, and I adhere to that absolutely and unconditionally. Truth, being limitless, unconditioned, unapproachable by any path whatsoever, cannot be organized; nor should any organization be formed to lead or coerce people along a particular path. ... This is no magnificent deed, because I do not want followers, and I mean this. The moment you follow someone you cease to follow Truth. I am not concerned whether you pay attention to what I say or not. I want to do a certain thing in the world and I am going to do it with unwavering concentration. I am concerning myself with only one essential thing: to set man free. I desire to free him from all cages, from all fears, and not to found religions, new sects, nor to establish new theories and new philosophies.”

With my spine's issues, I could certainly be Sting's "King Of Pain," but that's about it,...

I Had Sex With Ann Romney & It Tasted Like Duct Tape

Now if I tell you that you suffer from delusions

You pay your analyst to reach the same conclusions
-- The Police, Canary In A Coalmine

For the first time in my life, I bailed on voting this year,
specifically because of the issues surrounding Mitt Romney and the Republican refusal to vet him.

Before, during, and after that decision, I talked nice, tried to reason, gave you links and screamed,

Then, for a host of damned good reasons, Romney lost
- and this nomination now hangs like an anchor around your necks.

Where I say, "We got a glaring issue," and you come back with, "Don't worry, we got it"?

Actually, you came with, "Fuck you, you Crackhead bigot, we don't need your stupid vote anyway!"

And now what do we do?

I mean, I'm a conservative - who's not into losing elections - and all indicators seem to be pointing in my point of view's general direction if the rest of you ever want to win another one in our lifetimes.

Yeah, homeopathy again. It's a theme.

And that's what's important.

One of the things I'm excited about is the desire to win.

Who's got it - who ain't.

Ladies and Gentlemen - all bullshit aside - these are some of the worst lyrics I have ever seen,…

Now Bill Ayers And The Riots Are Back (And If You Think Everything's Fine, Don't Read This)

"Most of the people who graduated in the 60's, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can't get through to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern. You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior.

The demoralization process in the United States is basically completed already for the last 25 years,...Most of it is done by Americans to Americans thanks to lack of moral standards,...exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. ...he will refuse to believe it.... That's the tragedy of the situation of demoralization."

-- Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB agent, assigned by Russia to study the effects of cultism on American Baby Boomers in the '60's.

TMR has tried to point out the deceptive, and elusive, nature of NewAge cultism that's infecting the Left of the Western world. Posting every media figure's reference to it, and attempting to give some background on various aspects of the phenomena.

Unfortunately, as the tone has grown more shrill (which it was bound to, once it was discovered my NewAge ex-wife was continuing to kill people with her own NewAge Dr. Mengele - just as I said) more folks have decided to protect their view of the NewAge (and pride) by turning away.

Of course, a big part of that is they're too lazy, shallow, and/or brain-dead - cultishly demanding TMR use euphemisms, or "soft language," to inform them about this deadly nonsense - than to read much more than what's on the blog's first page. (What good is the internet without following the links?) This, too, is how pre-WWII references to german cultism were met, playing right into the Nazi's hands.

They wouldn't do those ugly things, wearing such "nice" uniforms, right?

But now the gasoline of anti-semitism has caught - again: only on the Left - with a woman even screaming "go back to the oven!" And last night, in my neighborhood, black people - the very ones who've let the cultists convince them they got the president (they thought) they wanted - had themselves a really nice little riot last night, where they destroyed businesses and possessions primarily owned by other black people. (Not that anyone's color matters to TMR.)

When one woman complained the rioters were destroying her business, a young woman said, "She should be glad she just lost her business and not her life."

Yes, my friends, it's escalating now. Just as I expected.

People have been properly primed not to be able to think. To focus on how Nazism ended - not how it began. Very clever.

Listen to this scene, featuring Ron Dellums - another useless Barack Obama-as-messiah-like black figure, with just enough brains to impress a morally relative-type of white person, but not enough sense to do the right thing:

Earlier in the evening, Oakland Mayor Ron Dellums met the mob on 14th Street, urging calm and leading them on a walk to City Hall, where he gave a speech.

"I sense your frustration," he told the crowd. "I understand that you've lost confidence in a process because you've seen what you believe is a homicide ... But listen to me, we are a community of people. We are civilized people. We are a nation of laws.

"I'm asking people to disperse," the mayor said to the couple hundred people in the crowd. "Let's leave in a spirit of peace."

But soon after, a man shouted "that's the modern day lynching" and the mob quickly continued its rampage, smashing at least seven storefronts on 17th street between Franklin and Webster streets. They also smashed eight cars, including four belonging to the City of Oakland.

Near 14th and Alice streets, Myron Bell was taking dance lessons in "step," a form of dance popular among African Americans, when he looked out the window and saw people jumping on his Lexus sedan.

Bell, 42, came out to find that almost all of the car's windows, including the front and back had been smashed and it appeared that someone had tried to set the car on fire.

"I'm for the cause," said Bell, who is black. "But I'm against the violence and destruction."

Nearby, Godhuli Bose stood near her smashed Toyota Corolla as a man walked by, repeatedly called her a misogynist slur and then added, "F- your car."

Bose, a high school teacher, said: "I can't afford this."

None of us can - but it's just going to get worse because so few are willing to look at what's been happening clearly. And it's not TMR's job to document the destruction. It's our job to tell you when and how it's happening.

It's happening.

The Stupid Won't Believe This (Naturally)

"Just last night in my local supermarket a woman became so hysterical about a hair she’d found on the outside of a packet of bacon that she called the police. Had I been armed, I’m fairly sure I’d have shot her in the back of the head. Certainly, I thought quite seriously about clubbing her to death with my shopping basket.

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. In the West Country a woman called for an ambulance because her television remote control was out of reach. Then there was the young man who reckoned he needed emergency care because he’d sniffed some deodorant by accident. And on the very day the ambulance service made its announcement, it had a call from a 22-year-old woman who’d squeezed a blackhead and it wouldn’t stop bleeding.

One pensioner told an ambulance crew she’d summoned to wait for 40 minutes because she was baking a cake. The crew gave her a stern warning about wasting their time and left, but the warning plainly wasn’t physical enough because exactly 40 minutes later the daft old bat told a second crew that her cake had risen nicely and she was ready to go to hospital.

The stories are endless. The people with shampoo in their eyes. The people who think they’ve caught a virus from their computer. The people whose brains are so tiny and so ineffectual that they cannot determine what is a nuisance and what is an amputation.

From an early age, I’ve told my children that they may come rushing into the house wailing only if they can actually see bone poking out of their skin but, plainly, other parents are not so wise. Even when their child has nothing but a minor flesh wound, they mollycoddle it so that they end up rearing a pathetic imbecile.

So, now that we have uncovered the problem, we must decide what to do."

-- Jeremy Clarkson, discovering - as this blog has made clear - people in the NewAge are "stupid", on The Times Online.
