In 2011, I said "Instapundit and Dr. Helen Can't Spot Quackery," and - when it comes to flim-flam - that's still as true as ever. Listen to him:

Cult leaders take you - using anything - so you'll take others

His sister-in-law, eh? Not according to Alan Levinovitz, a religion professor at James Madison University and author of "The Gluten Lie":

"What we’re doing with these trackers and these obsessive diets is giving ourselves an increasingly quantifiable way of saying that we are better than the other people. These things don’t work. They’re a marketing gimmick. They aren’t going to help you lose weight. It’s another ritual,...this takes us back to religion."

His political leadership's never looked so good, huh? Spread the word!

Oooh, so close! Oh well, at least Glenn-Boy's never stopped trying to act superior to others (while helping the Right lose two-going-on-three presidential elections) which takes me back to my original criticism of good ol' Instapundit, from waaay back when we first met online:

The Right Is Selective What Principles They Stand For (They Prefer The Ones That Reveal Their Hypocrisy)

Amazing - Conservatives are now completely tone deaf - or doesn't this statement also apply to the likes of Charles?

"Krauthammer: ‘It’s sort of touching the way Obama believes in the power of his rhetoric.'"

Let's see - television, newspaper columns, etc. - yeah, I'd say Charles is a dandy of the rhetoric game himself, thinking his words have influence. 

And that statement also applies to Glenn Reynolds, who, today - while discussing Obama - also reminded us "nobody likes a loser." But I'm now supposed to like Reynolds, and Ted Cruz, after Reynolds supported Ted Cruz in his Win-From-Losing strategy over ObamaCare, right? 

And, as I always remind you, no one on the Right is going to hold Glenn's feet to the fire for such wrong calls, leading them astray, or exploiting them, politically and financially, like he does others.

Or that his wife asks better questions than he does,...

 

Working On Women Is A Start (Now - About The "Men")

Gee, Crack, why do you attack those fine feminists, Ann and Meade Althouse, so often? Oh, I don't know - let a review of Dr. Helen Smith's Men On Strike, Glenn Reynolds' wife's book, explain it:

How did we get to this point? Among other causes, Smith points to a feminist movement that went from fighting for equality for women to advocating laws to privilege women at men’s expense. She characterizes men who collude in perpetuating this system as “White Knights” who instinctively support policies purporting to protect the “weaker sex,” and as “Uncle Tims” — her play on the iconic “Uncle Tom” character — who for their own gain embrace the noxious notion that men are inherently flawed and need to be constrained.

They do it "for their own gain" - that's our Meade! (He ain't known in Althouse circles as a "grifter" for nothing,...) But no mention of the unrelenting gay shit? Or the hypocrite men, like Reynolds, who attack feminism while giving feminists a platform?

We're definitely not getting comprehensive yet,...

 

Men Without Game Get Caught Like This All-The-Time

Here's another bit of wisdom, courtesy of that guardian of manliness, Glenn Reynolds, again (Am I the only person who actually reads him, or the only one noticing what he promotes?) This time he's pumping "7 Ways to End a Toxic Relationship" - if you're a young man, reading Reynolds, live and learn:

"If you're in a toxic relationship, you probably know you want to get out. But you feel stuck, paralyzed, and nagged by doubts. You might cling to hope that he could change."

"He"? Where'd the word "he" come from? Can't "toxic relationships" go either way? Then why the gender targeting language? Oh yeah - because Glenn's wife wrote a book. That he's read. But didn't understand. So he promotes the opposite. Leader of the blogosphere, mind you. Tea Party hero, this guy. Law professor. Brilliant as a booger. How about this one:

"7. You don't owe anyone any explanations. You don't owe your family, friends, children, or even your partner justification that satisfies them as to why you want to leave."

Brilliant - thanks, Glenn. 

Considering how everybody helps out in a relationship, you - that would be the woman - don't owe anybody anything when your narcissism grows to the level of man-eating beast. That's what conservatives are fighting for, correct? Must be - Glenn's promoting it and he's the Big Dawg.

I don't know about his home life but, as far as his blog, he's practically our Anthony Weiner,...

 

Can Somebody Explain Hypocrisy To Glenn Reynolds?

So, the conservative blogosphere is showing what "we're" all about - again:

They're having a grand time, at the expense of an ADMITTED manic-depressive male feminist having a break-down, because - while off his meds and in a manic state - he'd come clean about "using sex and charm and whiteness" to scam his readers.

I got that link from Glenn Reynolds' blog. Here's what Glenn wrote about it:

"Chicks just dig jerks, especially if they pretend to have the right gender politics."

Very observant. Keep in mind, Glenn's married to a woman who writes about gender politics and the unfairness of society to men. Glenn's even been ferociously promoting her book.

Meanwhile, at the same time, he also regularly promotes a female feminist - but one known for having almost regularly-scheduled and extremely-alienating public breakdowns - and who's likewise known for "using sex and charm and whiteness" to scam her readers.

But she's another law professor who refuses to admit anything - evidence be damned.

Glenn's never turned the screws on her like he and his friends have done a manic depressive male.

It should be pointed out that Ann Althouse, too, is getting her kicks at the guy. 

Which raises some obvious questions:

Is Reynolds such a jerk he hasn't even read his own wife's book?

Or is he just too stupid to understand it?

MediaTakeOut.com just got its hand on an "abortion contract" that JJ Reddick entered into with his girlfriend at the time, Vanessa Lopez. 

The two got their LAWYERS to sit down and agree that if Vanessa had an abortion, then JJ would agree to "attempt" to be in a relationship with her. And if after "attempting" to be in a relationship, they break up after one year - he'd pay her $25K. 

We wonder how often chicks enter into something like this. Diddy prolly been HANDING OUT THIS CONTRACT for years . . . .

I'm sorry - I swear I am - but Ann Althouse's cognitive dissonance is so good, at kicking her in the va-jay-jay, it just can't be helped:

And, have you noticed, one of Glenn Reynolds' top bloggers is engaged in an existential crisis with her commenters - Ann's even taking on the Instapundit and his wife - but there's hardly a peep from anyone who thought Ann was pretty hot shit during the Scott Walker election. I'd think Wisconsin's top blogger, losing her flock over an online freak-out, would be online news, wouldn't you? A bunch of mostly conservatives, but with many liberals, too - of all genders - rise up, and tell their liberal feminist host she's full of shit, and Stacey McCain ain't on it?

I'm thinking it's time to remedy that,...

Day 2 of Ann Althouse showing appreciation for her male readership the "losers" (her term) who frequent her blog:

Let me point out there has been push-back by, both, men and women. And please, don't forget: 

If Glenn Reynolds really thought his wife's book was important - or even that voting for Obama was wrong for the country - he wouldn't support Althouse with links.

Nor should Ann's readers support her. They shouldn't buy from her portal. The University of Wisconsin should be hearing from somebody ("Is this what you guys consider professorial?") and she should, finally, be forced to publicly confront her wannabe-immasculating outlook.

Anything less means she's right to laugh at you, as far as I'm concerned,...

New Anthem (Based On The Words "Don't Play Around")

 

 OH! I'm DYING over here! I'm laughing so hard it feels like having the hiccups for a year! Remember how I told you Glenn Reynolds & Co. are,...sheltered? This gets to the whole premise of my argument, about how fake the "gay" marriage debate is, because the people conducting it are not (as Jimi Hendrix used to say) "experienced" - I'm from South Central:

Why rapist? A man raping a man? How common is that as a fear?”

That was Ann Althouse showing us how much she has in common with Doris Day - and how little she knows of, for instance, Navy initiation rituals.

 

 I'll bet she knows all the words to "In The Navy" though.

I'll add that my first knowledge of gays was a man trying to blow me, against my will, as a child. What do these people think makes a man like me? Reality - NEXT RUBE:

Alright, this is Andrew Klavan - the man who recently announced "there is something spiritual at the bottom of conservatism" - being wrong on so many levels, again, it would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic.

("Tragic", because people actually listen to these folks, without actually listening to them - if it's really there, spirituality's at "the bottom" you guys,....)

Then there's the linking of gays and blacks, something I'm really getting sick of, because the analogy doesn't work. (I dislike all of these set-ups designed for conflict between us - listen to Klavan talk about "gay people" but "black Americans". Be a conservative and drop the PC shit, dude, you're confusing yourself,...) All you have to say is "Liberace" and the whole argument falls apart. Was Little Richard mistreated? Not that I know of, but then Little Richard's never been a puss, either. Nobody ever talks about stuff like that because they're scared. How about gays being proud of Judy Garland saying:

“When I die I have visions of fags singing ‘Over the Rainbow’ and the flag at Fire Island being flown at half mast.”

That totally screams of The Civil Rights Movement blacks led, doesn't it? Give me a break. It's about as accurate as Klavan's Supreme Court headline. Here's how I would write it:

“I can’t help but feel that the real story, the big story, is that "spiritual" people are, at the same time, in a ruthless quest for power and being played for fools. Surely, the all-Supreme-Court headlines should really read something like, 'GDP shrinks to nothing due to the fact that everyone's overspending out of fear of shadows on the walls, while simultaneously abusing power to suppress speech at the same time the administration is mishandling world events,…  oh, and by the way, the Supreme Court ruled…  something that - like any Supreme Court ruling - is already changing the overall state of the nation.'”

What a moron. Which brings me to the man with the hat, Pajamas Media's Roger L. Simon, shining a flashlight on part of the problem better than most:

He is on so many ropes you can’t count them. The only thing that can help him is for a bunch of rightwingers to start screaming about the sanctity of marriage. 

Don’t do it! Don’t take the bait! 

Make peace with your gay friends, neighbors, and relatives. They should thrive and be happy. Or be indentured to divorce lawyers for the rest of their lives like so many of us. Whatever happens happens. Move on! 

And for those who say we’re on the slippery slope to polygamy, incest, or whatever, stop it! There’s no concrete evidence for any of this. Gay people — the ones who are getting married anyway — want to be bourgeois like you. We’ve all met tons of gay people but very few (if any) polygamists and not a single person who is sleeping with their mother and/or sister. (Well, maybe in the movie Deliverance and I’m not even sure it really happened there.) 

Look inside yourself and stop making this absurd, straw-man argument for which there is no serious real-life corroboration in the U.S., only in the Islamic world. 

(That means you, Dennis Prager. You’re too smart for that kind of sophism.) 

One thing Obama and his minions thrive on is distraction — and protest of gay marriage will be distraction one, I promise you.

Since Klavan already said what a fool Andrew Breitbart thought I am, let's me take Klavan's boss apart,  in the Andrew Breitbart tradition:

Conservatives are supposed to be upholding a principle and this fool's still fighting the last election. Can there be any doubt why this country is losing, on so many fronts, when people can get so easily distracted? He thinks Obama's "on so many ropes you can’t count them" because he and the rest of the media's hooked on these non-scandals (they lucked upon) that, so far, no matter how often they scream they've got something concrete, have fallen between their fingers like sand.

Get your fucking wits, Rog:

We're not supposed to be trying to "make peace", you coward, but be stewards of this nation which, last time I checked, wasn't thriving or happy.

"Whatever happens happens"?

Then, like Dr. Helen before him, this conservative gets "spiritual" (like Andrew Klavan said he would) and comes with a NewAge admonition - reflecting "the path" they're all on - "Move On!"

Which, as I've explained, we can't do because - unlike you who, once, had to go out and "find yourself" - we've always been stuck here, knowing where we are all along, enduring parents (like you?) making "divorce" part of reality "for the rest of their lives".

That was your doing.

BTW - as I just said - this place the rest of us have been is called "Reality", it's in America, and you and your Romney-supporting friends really ought to visit sometime before shooting off your mouth about it's content and ambitions.

Just because you can't think of something doesn't mean it doesn't exist - like seeing conservatism, today, from a different perspective.
