Pajamas Media has a piss-poor article called Ben Carson's 'Fall From Grace' Amongst Black Americans, that details all the liberal reasons (they could find) why blacks may not trust the conservative icon, while completely overlooking the most obvious one, which is also what I hear most often in daily conversation:

"How can a black brain surgeon be so stupid?" 

It's a really hard question to get around.
 

TMR's Year In Review: White Welfare - Instapundit Once Again Shows The Poor Black Folks How It's Really Done

Online cults? Cliques? Groupthink? I've been against them from the start. Never forgetting how Ann Althouse got so popular (it's all on the strength of her profound "writing," right?) I howled with laughter when I saw this:

"IF NATIONAL REVIEW DOESN’T PROPERLY APPRECIATE MARK STEYN, I imagine we could find a place for him at PJ Media."

And, Boy - considering Steyn's a syndicated columnist with a regular gig on The Rush Limbaugh Show - he certainly does need Glenn's help!

There were others but, this year, my favorites were Instapundit's many handouts to Utah's former Tea Party candidate for governor, David Kirkham. He, who admitted - in private, under TMR's careful questioning, last New Year - that he was only running because he'd sold his sports car business, and was "bored". (Which, I think, is Instapundit's sole reason for existing, too. That and, of course, your money,...)

As fate would have it, Kirkham eventually went on to have a heart attack, and so, would have to amuse himself with something other than fanatically toying with his fellow citizen's lives. 

It's a pity, really:

Because that has to mean there's no "Heaven On Earth" after all,…

Former Congressman Allen West (Florida): the former congressman who compared the Democrats to Josef Goebbles and worried about Obama supports being a “threat to the gene pool” last month left his post as the director of programming for the conservative news aggregator Pajamas Media under allegations of anti-Semitism. He claimed that he was moving on voluntarily “to pursue political aspirations.” So keep an eye out.

Joe Scarborough Almost Called Sean Hannity A Racist

I'm adding some new sites to my surfing these days, as I'm getting sick of the usual slack jaw I see repeatedly, and whattayaknow? I find an old clip of Morning Joe, livid, that Sean Hannity would repeat  the Right's oft-repeated charge that Trayvon Martin had it coming. 

Quite revealing because, within the PJ Media/Hot Air/Ace of Spades/Red State loop, you'd never know it happened. Truthfully, within that scene, you'd never know anyone thought about a black person, as a person, unless he or she is a conservative. Outside of that, anything goes, baby, and it does indeed go - straight into the gutter.

Anyway, I missed this, but I'm glad to see it, if only to remind me (and you) there's more going on than this nasty standing water the Right's currently wading in.

PJMedia's Chris Queen A) has really bad taste in music but B) hasn't fully embraced the conservative concept of leaving other people the fuck alone:

As a Christian, my prayer for Billy Corgan is that his search for spirituality will lead him to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, but seeing him move out of a nihilistic spiritual emptiness into an honest quest for higher truth encourages me. It’s a huge first step, and I pray it leads him to faith in Jesus.

BTW - Billy Corgan, leader of the awful band Smashing Pumpkins, is a thrice "married" NewAger, so I get the idea. But Queen sounds too much like Virginia Republican Lt. Gov. candidate (and pastor) E. W. Jackson, for my taste:

Slavery Created A Very Warped Thing (And Freedom Means You Can Decide To Keep On Kicking It Or Not)

Dear P.J. Media, 

 Only the most stupid, naive, or evil white person could write this about a black life:

"To make it look like one person endured so many nightmare moments is a stretch."

One reason I love black people is because I know we - individually and collectively - have "endured so many nightmare moments". That's no "stretch". It's not your world. I was just reminded today how you and your friends loathed Disco, remember? How do you think that made black Americans feel? Especially when we were right? We were trying to do something and you stood in our way. That's part of it. Let me tell you guys something:

In good ol' sunny California, I saw my first fresh dead body before I'd reached the third grade. My foster sister was raped by 9 guys. My best friend's father was shot dead, by his brother-in-law, before our eyes during a 3 year-old's Birthday party (The brother-in-law got six years, and then moved in with his widowed sister, upon release.) I'll stop there, but my question is simple:

Was I just lucky?

I don't know many other black people who can say, as a lot of whites can, their childhoods were O.K.. My white friends had horses and planes (I was bussed to North Hollywood) and they had good jobs, if they had to work. My black friends were unemployed, in a "city" with only one supermarket, and forced to kneel for an hour in upside-down shoebox tops containing a layer of rice. One of my foster fathers sustained multiple blows to the head, in a ball-peen hammer attack. His head ended up with deep craters in it, he couldn't be left alone, and he called me "Henry" for the rest of his days. He had to be cared for. He was the breadwinner. His house took in kids like me. I once counted 13 kids in there. I know what American poverty is in the modern era.

I'm no racist. I'm a conservative atheist and I've been in a state of shock and amazement, pretty much, from the age of two. I've always been aware. What's happened to me, personally, is mind boggling. What's happened, and is happening, to black people is almost incomprehensible. The lack of understanding and empathy can be galling. Mayhem has been unleashed on this people and the best this country can do is scream, "What about us?" I can't fathom it. 

I'm just one black person, but I can tell you unequivocally, "nightmare moments" are mostly what this country's blessed black people with. The Indians, too - don't get me started on the Indians. FUCK.

 WE ARE MORE-THAN-FAMILIAR. 

I won't venture to say most, but most know the depths of Hell, that can constitute everyday American life, I'm talking about. That's why Tawana Brawley thought she could get away with her bullshit, and few blacks questioned O.J., or Trayvon's shooting. With or without white folks, it's still life in America, for us. Consider Rodney King's experience. I can tell you names you're familiar with all day. How many millions don't you know? A lot. Right here, right now. As I write this. Don't forget, many whites in the North and the South didn't see a problem with black life when slavery was in full effect.

I don't think enough can really grasp what it's like now,...

 

The Right: Yeah, We Need Blacks, But Not Just Anybody

O.K., check this out: 

After I watched that Bill Whittle piece with a liberal white Hip-Hop-loving friend, and noticed my friend showing real interest in how he'd been had, I punched up a video by Zo (of Pajamas Media) commenting on Lil Wayne, because I know my friend and A) he'd be interested in a conservative critique of Lil Wayne by a black guy other than me, and B) he's the type who can take only so much from Bill Whittle. 

It's a bonding moment, for my friend and I, over Zo's clip:

   

Zo does his number on Lil Wayne stomping the flag and my friend's getting a little excited. He's starting to get it, kind of. And now Zo says he's got a band called 20 Lb. Sledge? You know we've gotta check that out!

   

But stop - that's not 20 Lb. Sledge above, it's Test Dept.. See, here's the thing: 

Bill Whittle has already shown he doesn't understand Rap Music by describing it as "sexual aggression typical of America today" (and Led Zeppelin wasn't? The Beatles weren't?) and Zo's not just saying he's got a band, but a "Right-Wing Christian" outfit that, specifically, doesn't exemplify women.

My friend's making me nervous. He's a liberal but, when it comes to our culture, he's not stupid.

So what does this video open with? Checking out a white woman's bikini'd butt as she swims in a pool. That's not exemplifying women? And, even worse, the music is kill yourself awful. No, it's beyond awful - it's atrocious - because a let-down of this magnitude clearly deserves more letters.

Zo's now a talentless hypocrite and my friend is laughing at his Christian ass. And at me, a little bit:

New Anthem (Based On The Words "Don't Play Around")

 

 OH! I'm DYING over here! I'm laughing so hard it feels like having the hiccups for a year! Remember how I told you Glenn Reynolds & Co. are,...sheltered? This gets to the whole premise of my argument, about how fake the "gay" marriage debate is, because the people conducting it are not (as Jimi Hendrix used to say) "experienced" - I'm from South Central:

Why rapist? A man raping a man? How common is that as a fear?”

That was Ann Althouse showing us how much she has in common with Doris Day - and how little she knows of, for instance, Navy initiation rituals.

I'll add that my first knowledge of gays was a man trying to blow me, against my will, as a child. What do these people think makes a man like me? Reality - NEXT RUBE:

Alright, this is Andrew Klavan - the man who recently announced "there is something spiritual at the bottom of conservatism" - being wrong on so many levels, again, it would be laughable if it wasn't so tragic.

("Tragic", because people actually listen to these folks, without actually listening to them - if it's really there, spirituality's at "the bottom" you guys,....)

Then there's the linking of gays and blacks, something I'm really getting sick of, because the analogy doesn't work. (I dislike all of these set-ups designed for conflict between us - listen to Klavan talk about "gay people" but "black Americans". Be a conservative and drop the PC shit, dude, you're confusing yourself,...) All you have to say is "Liberace" and the whole argument falls apart. Was Little Richard mistreated? Not that I know of, but then Little Richard's never been a puss, either. Nobody ever talks about stuff like that because they're scared. How about gays being proud of Judy Garland saying:

“When I die I have visions of fags singing ‘Over the Rainbow’ and the flag at Fire Island being flown at half mast.”

That totally screams of The Civil Rights Movement blacks led, doesn't it? Give me a break. It's about as accurate as Klavan's Supreme Court headline. Here's how I would write it:

“I can’t help but feel that the real story, the big story, is that "spiritual" people are, at the same time, in a ruthless quest for power and being played for fools. What a moron. Which brings me to the man with the hat, Pajamas Media's Roger L. Simon, shining a flashlight on part of the problem better than most:

“Don’t do Barack Obama any favors! 

He is on so many ropes you can’t count them. The only thing that can help him is for a bunch of rightwingers to start screaming about the sanctity of marriage. 

Don’t do it! Don’t take the bait! 

Make peace with your gay friends, neighbors, and relatives. They should thrive and be happy. Or be indentured to divorce lawyers for the rest of their lives like so many of us. Whatever happens happens. Move on! 

And for those who say we’re on the slippery slope to polygamy, incest, or whatever, stop it! There’s no concrete evidence for any of this. Gay people — the ones who are getting married anyway — want to be bourgeois like you. We’ve all met tons of gay people but very few (if any) polygamists and not a single person who is sleeping with their mother and/or sister. (Well, maybe in the movie Deliverance and I’m not even sure it really happened there.) 

Look inside yourself and stop making this absurd, straw-man argument for which there is no serious real-life corroboration in the U.S., only in the Islamic world. 

(That means you, Dennis Prager. You’re too smart for that kind of sophism.) 

One thing Obama and his minions thrive on is distraction — and protest of gay marriage will be distraction one, I promise you.

Since Klavan already said what a fool Andrew Breitbart thought I am, let's me take Klavan's boss apart,  in the Andrew Breitbart tradition:

Conservatives are supposed to be upholding a principle and this fool's still fighting the last election. Can there be any doubt why this country is losing, on so many fronts, when people can get so easily distracted? He thinks Obama's "on so many ropes you can’t count them" because he and the rest of the media's hooked on these non-scandals (they lucked upon) that, so far, no matter how often they scream they've got something concrete, have fallen between their fingers like sand.

Get your fucking wits, Rog:

We're not supposed to be trying to "make peace", you coward, but be stewards of this nation which, last time I checked, wasn't thriving or happy.

"Whatever happens happens"?

Then, like Dr. Helen before him, this conservative gets "spiritual" (like Andrew Klavan said he would) and comes with a NewAge admonition - reflecting "the path" they're all on - "Move On!"

Which, as I've explained, we can't do because - unlike you who, once, had to go out and "find yourself" - we've always been stuck here, knowing where we are all along, enduring parents (like you?) making "divorce" part of reality "for the rest of their lives".

That was your doing.

BTW - as I just said - this place the rest of us have been is called "Reality", it's in America, and you and your Romney-supporting friends really ought to visit sometime before shooting off your mouth about it's content and ambitions.
