And So It Begins: Our Night In Shining Armor

Everyone who reads this blog knows we didn't like Obama or the Democrats before the election, didn't give in after the election, and have been looking forward to this day - when we can kick the chair out from under them - for the next two years solid. Well, the big day has arrived and we just voted, straight Republican ticket, and we're back now to say you should, too. Why? Let James Delingpole, a bloke from England, start the explanation:
God how I wish I were American right now. In the US,...they do still understand the principles of “don’t tread on me” and “live free or die.” Not all of them, obviously – otherwise a socialist like Barack Obama would never have got into power. But enough of them to understand that in the last 80 or more years – and not just in the US but throughout the Western world – government has forgotten its purpose. It has now grown so arrogant and swollen as to believe its job is to shape and improve and generally interfere with our lives. And it’s not. Government’s job is to act as our humble servant.

...look at Australia; look at Canada; look at New Zealand; look at anywhere in the EUSSR; look at America – at least until things begin to be improved by today’s glorious revolution. Wherever you go, even if it’s somewhere run by a notionally “conservative” administration, the malaise you will encounter is much the same: a system of governance predicated on the notion that the state’s function is not merely to uphold property rights, maintain equality before the law and defend borders, but perpetually to meddle with its citizens’ lives in order supposedly to make their existence more fair, more safe, more eco-friendly, more healthy. And always the result is the same: more taxation, more regulation, less freedom. Less “fairness” too, of course.
But wait - there's more - and this is where TMR's themes come in:
As you all know, since Climategate I’ve been dedicating far more of my time than is healthy to exposing the great Global Warming scam. This is not because I’ve suddenly realised I’m a scientist manque who wants to spend the rest of his life obsessing about forcings, feedbacks and solar radiation. It’s because I understand that “Environmentalism” is but one strategically significant theatre in a much greater ideological war being waged across the world.
Yes, environmentalism is indeed an issue in this election, and across the world. But so are it's supporters and their beliefs. So all TMR's usual suspects are also on the hot seat - the Oprah's and the Sheryl Crow's and all the others who thought that, because they had a microphone, they also had the right not to leave us the fuck alone.

Oh, don't be fooled, this is definitely a rebuke of Oprah as well as Obama - she brought him to us, remember? He was "The One"? Well, fuck her and the Obama cult, he's "Number Two" now (pun intended) and TMR's way is in charge again.

And don't be fooled:

This is also TMR's election victory.

We were here before the Tea Party, fighting for and against the very same ideas they've finally come to agree with, whether they knew about us or not. Listen to Tim Rutten of The L.A. Times:
For example, 19 of the 20 GOP candidates who are in closely contested races and have expressed a position on the issue say they have doubts about the scientific evidence for global warming, despite the overwhelming consensus among scientists. That includes Arizona's John McCain, who formerly supported legislation to reduce carbon emissions. Mark Kirk of Illinois, who voted for cap-and-trade as a congressman, is the lone Republican holdout. Some of the other senatorial candidates express ambivalence about the science but firmly reject any legislative or regulatory remedy; more agree with Louisiana's David Vitter, who calls the evidence for climate change "pseudo-science garbage."

Recent polls show just how deeply partisan the split over global warming has become, and how closely it conforms to the deep fissures that have reshaped this year's electoral landscape. A survey by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center, for instance, found that over the last four years, the percentage of Americans who believe there's solid scientific evidence for climate change has declined from 79% to 59%. In 2006, half of us believed that global warming was caused by human activities; today, only 34% do. An Opinion Research Corp. survey found that while 82% of Democrats feel the United States should take a leading role in addressing global warming, only 39% of Republicans now do.
But we were there long before the rest of them, getting unceremoniously kicked off "science" blogs, for daring to speak the truth, when no one else would dare in such venues. The only thing that's missing from the Tea Party movement is the individualized nature of how we came to that conclusion.

Few to this day - even after 40+ years of being a part of our lives - can explain what NewAge is, but understanding this "spiritual" belief system has formed the basis of how we came to the conclusions we have on the issues being decided today, and in two more years, and we're very happy to say we've been proven wrong on none of them. Here's the real "sanity" out there:

A vote against Oprah Winfrey IS a vote against Barack Obama, "Green" legislation, race-based boondoggles, general fraud, and more.

For us, it's that simple:

If she's for it, we've just voted against it.

Nothing to do with Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid, or Jon Stewart, or even Barack Obama - they're just fellow travelers - it's voting against anyone, and anything, that has to do with Oprah and NewAge that we're focused on - and we think you should be, too.

So go - vote. Do it now. And, even if you haven't studied the issues, you will find making the correct choice as easy as pie:

Right before you check a box, or pull a lever, ask yourself this one simple question:

"Does this agree with what NewAgers think or don't it?"

And then, if it does, pull the trigger and vote the other way.

You simply can't go wrong.

Feeling Blue? Know You're Really Yella? You're Probably Green (And Making Everybody Know It)

When it comes to accommodating an environmentalist's green nightmares, we thought Prince Charles was full of it for telling people what to do - but he ain't got nothin' on Sheryl Crow! Check out the "environmental portion" of her show's rider - which is to be "strictly followed and policed" - from The Smoking Gun:

"Seeking to "minimize the overall environmental impact of our tour," Crow demands that only biodegradable cups and dinnerware be used by the caterer. Produce should be "organic and purchased from local suppliers as much as possible." And for the five backstage "watering stations," water "must be sourced from a local spring water vendor."

According to Crow’s rider, her tour party travels between gigs in two 45-foot buses, while her equipment is packed into two tractor-trailers.

Crow, 48, also offers promoters "venue greening suggestions.” She wants “traditional light bulbs” swapped out for compact fluorescent bulbs in “all offices, dressing rooms and common areas.” “Eco-friendly cleaning and bathroom products” and “post-consumer recycled toilet paper and paper towel” should also be used. Crow’s rider also notes that, “We strongly encourage you to use renewable sources and/or to buy sustainable energy credits where possible. Many local utilities offer ‘green power’ as an option--please check with yours and opt in.”

The document also details how Crow’s backstage hospitality room is to be stocked. The singer needs an assortment of “biodegradable non-petroleum cups” and 24 “disposable napkins made of 100% recycled fiber.” Crow’s rider also lists a wide variety of drinks and snacks that she needs, including organic coconut water and two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon (“Sheryl’s Favorite” is Stag’s Leap Artemis). Two “good quality, dark, organic chocolate bars” are described as “***VERY IMPORTANT***”

[Our copy of Crow’s 2010 rider has a number of items crossed out. It is unclear whether this indicates that the individual items had been obtained, or whether the promoter declined to supply them.]

As in a prior Crow rider, the current version includes her specific liquor schedule. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, she needs a small bottle of Ketel One vodka that will be mixed with a half-gallon of organic cranberry juice. On Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, Crow requires a bottle of Patron tequila that will be mixed with a half-gallon of organic grapefruit juice."
Wow - all that and her music really sucks! I mean, if I was a booking agent, I can think of a million less-demanding bands that I'd rather see have an opportunity to perform than this dork.

Tell me, is there some hidden correlation between how mediocre an artist is (and this is definitely the NewAge of Mediocre Music) how passionately they feel about some form of nonsense or another, and how high others are willing to jump for them? There has to be, because doing anything for Miss One-Square-Of-Toilet-Paper-For-Everybody-Else makes no sense at all.

Except, of course, making sure how many squares of toilet paper she uses is "strictly followed and policed".

I betcha she'd really like that,...

Chuckles The Clown Admits He's In On The Joke

England's NewAge goof, Prince Charles, has now confessed he (arrogantly) thinks he's supposed to "save the world".

Isn't it apparent to everyone, by now, that this mantra (along with other familiar lines like someone being "the love of my life" or "on the path") is shared with every cult on the planet?
"Far, far down the High Street, long past where Oxford’s golden spires give way to neon strip malls, you come to a dense residential zone of tidy town houses, row upon row. In one of these, in a small room, a woman sits immobile in a chair.

She has been held prisoner in this room for days. Eight? Ten? Hard to keep track, when they won’t let you sleep. In shifts, day and night, her captors take turns berating her:

We know you know the number.

You have to tell us.

Why won’t you tell us?

The woman is 58 years old. Not long ago she was the mistress of a château near Bordeaux—elegant, soignée, an aristocrat.

Now she is fed a single meal each day. She is not allowed to bathe or use the bathroom. She is drugged, and sometimes she is beaten.

The captors include members of her own family. They say she knows the number because she is The One—the possessor of knowledge that will free her and the rest of them to fulfill their destiny. They want the number of a bank account in Brussels that will lead them to a secret that will save the world."
Sure. "The One". (I've heard that before somewhere,...) It's all just an astounding display of (and the picture, above, is perfect for showing it) stupidity and arrogance.

Along with all the other supposed enlightened "chosen ones". You know them by thier language. It's the language of "spiritual" people, and celebrities, like Sheryl Crow, and Sting, and Oprah, and every other NewAge fan of homeopathy/environmentalism/psychics/yoga - and who knows what else - once they get too full of themselves.

Don't you guys understand that when someone's indoctrinated into a cult they adopt language to indicate who's in and who's out?

Yoga people don't do stretches - they do "asanas", right?

If you don't like Scientology, you're an "SP" (suppressive person), correct?
These people don't just "talk", they repeat the lines they've been fed because they are devoid of their own minds, literally, of imagination itself.

That's why they need gurus, "life coaches", and/or someone else to follow.

Listen to their language. [click image to enlarge.]

Then you'll know who's actually screwing things up for the planet.

And for everyone else.

Welcome To The Glenn Black Program**

Many readers have written in over the years to tell me I'm crazy. You see, I had to be. My apparent nuttiness sprang, willy-nilly, from my over-heated brain just because my poor, suffering, French NewAge "Reiki Master" of an ex-wife, Karine Anne Brunk, left me for a famous French doctor, named Robert Wohlfahrt, after he (with my ex's help) had treated my now-deceased Mother-In-Law, who died writhing in pain.

That's right: I'm crazy and all I'm about to describe is perfectly sane.

Don't forget that.

I was told I was too "macho" to handle my ex's adultery, you see, and my cries of "murder" and calls for an investigation into a world-wide killer "NewAge cult" were nothing more than the sourest of grapes.

I was just being ugly and, really, didn't have to go there.

Yes, I'm black. Conservative. Male. Macho. And now divorced.

Must be a conspiracy nut.

I mean, really, was there anything more that had to be said?

Of course, all of that chatter was willingly ignoring my charge that Dr. Wohlfahrt was a NewAge quack - a homeopath - and that his treatment of my Mother-In-Law was no treatment at all. That, too, couldn't be true, I was told, because even such luminaries as ABC TV's Oprah Winfrey promoted homeopathy (when she wasn't showing a bizarre fascination with, amongst other things, how what she calls "poop" came out) and Oprah is now the moral authority of America who helped elect Barack Obama - "The One" and "The Messiah" - right?

Yea. And Raymond Shaw is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I've ever known in my life.

And just because someone is an atheist and not part of those many already-known Christian groups also charging that Oprah is a cult leader doesn't make it so, and anyway what does anything involving Oprah have to do with some black right-wing nutcase's charge of murder in France?

He's just turned into a crazy Glenn Beck-like cuckoo, with darker skin, trolling for donations to buy himself a chalk board.

Of course, as my regular readers are aware, it did turn out that Dr. Robert Wohlfahrt was a cult guru who, with the aid of my ex-wife, went on to kill two more of his patients and - with the aid of this blog - had his practice first suspended and, then, shut down. Just as it was later revealed the medical advice Oprah Winfrey dispenses on television might get you killed as well (advice given with the help of her own personal wizard, "Dr. Oz" - a physician who is married to a NewAge "Reiki Master". Just. Like. My. Ex. Wife.).

Do you see what I'm gettin' at here? Even a little?

Now comes two more stories that I think might add a bit more context:

The media in Australia, which has been covering that country's problems with NewAge cults and quackery better than our own (with many stories revolving, specifically, around homeopathy) have currently been covering the bowel cancer death of Penelope Dingle (above) the wife of Peter Dingle, a famous Murdoch University Professor who is also a environmental and nutritional toxicologist, author, self-described media personality and guest presenter on the ABC's Can We Help? program.

You know, kind of a Dr. Oz. - except actually in Oz?

Well his wife, Penelope, also "died in pain" like my mother-in-law - according to Deborah Combes, a registered nurse and family friend - and she said Penelope was also "'completely obsessed' with her homeopathic regime". Why such complete obsession - remember: Deborah Combes' word -for water?

And get this: Penelope’s got four sisters, who amazingly
All.
Use.
Homeopathy.

Those four sisters allege Dr. Dingle had convinced Penelope that her tumour couldn’t be cured with "allopathic" medicine, and he was planning on writing a book with his wife's homeopath, Francine Scrayen, telling the world about Penelope’s miraculous recovery using only "alternative" medicine.

One of Penelope's sisters, Toni Brown, said Penelope's treatment was more like "somebody being tortured".

"Mrs Brown said that under the agreement, Dr Dingle (above) would look after his wife's vitamin and antioxidant treatment and Ms Scrayen would deal with homeopathy treatments and diet.

Mrs Brown said that in 2003 her sister was on a strict diet and lost a significant amount of weight but each time she expressed concern, Dingle and her husband told her the treatment was going well.

Counsel assisting the Coroner, Lyle Housiaux, said Dingle's diaries, which have been tendered as evidence, revealed that Ms Scrayen said homeopathy would cure her and she had to avoid conventional medicine, including pain relief."
And what is Dr. Dingle's defense to the charge he murdered his own wife for the glorification of a NewAge cult practice? He says, merely, that his wife didn’t ask him for surgery, but if she had, he would have gone for it. She was hard-headed, you see, and there was nothing he - a famous television doctor - could say or do.

Ha, I know who wore the pants in that family,...

Good thing he wasn't some simple-minded "macho" recording artist, like me, or else Penelope would've been in real trouble.

Speaking of recording artists that nobody's really listening to, the other big story that caught my eye was about Sheryl "Sticky Fingers" Crow. You remember her, don't you? She was once engaged to Lance Armstrong? And she, like Oprah, was so fascinated by our "poop" (while trying to "save the planet") she seriously suggested the rest of us should be restricted to one square of toilet paper-per-poop? Which, much to their eternal shame, got Women On The Web.com to "honor" both Sheryl Crow and Oprah Winfrey as two "Women Who Changed The World"? (Really, they did. Especially Sheryl Crow.) Come on, you gotta know who Sheryl Crow is.

Well anyway, it looks like Sheryl was trying to change her fans' world in more ways than anyone knew, because a psychologist named Christopher Ryan writes on Arianna Huffington's Cult News Network - I mean, The Huffington Post - that, a few years ago, he was listening to Crow's first album and (I love this:) "noticed something very strange about that record":

"First, there's a song called 'Redemption Day' that contains these lyrics:

There is a train that's heading straight
To heaven's gate, to heaven's gate

And on the way, child and man,

And woman wait, watch and wait

For redemption day.

OK, nothing particularly strange about that. But there's another song on the same record ('Maybe Angels') that's all about waiting for aliens to come rescue the character who is singing: 'I swear they're out there ... My bag's all packed in case they ever come for me ... I'm heading down to Roswell to wait and see...'

So we've got a song about someone who thinks aliens are coming to take her away and another song that repeats the phrase 'heaven's gate' over and over in reference to 'redemption day.'

Maybe some of you reading this have already made the connection to the cult that went by the name Heaven's Gate, who thought an alien ship was hidden just behind the Hale-Bopp comet. The leader of the sect, Marshall Applewhite, had convinced his followers that the alien ship was coming to take them away. In March of 1997, thirty-eight members of the group, including Applewhite, committed suicide, believing they'd reached their own redemption day -- all of them wearing arm patches that said 'Heaven's Gate Away Team.'

But Crow's album was released in September of 1996, six months before any of this happened, which means she was writing these songs a year or more before the sect received any media attention."
So - along with yet another homeopathic murder case (What number is this now?) that has many of the same elements I've been railing about for years - we've also got another friend of Oprah's (one of those "many spiritually advanced people,...(not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual)" who supported Barack Obama) who is fascinated by our "poop" (as is Oprah) at the very least propagates cult ideology as entertainment (as does Oprah) with talk of traveling with Angels and/or Aliens (Help me out here: Oprah?) plus a reference to one of the world's most famous, specifically, NewAge power spots, Roswell, New Mexico. And, just for further reference, let's recap:

France. Australia. Sheryl Crow covers Roswell and the U.S. itself pretty well, and Oprah's got Hana, Hawaii but, pretty much, covers the world.

But, unsophisticated silly me, armed with all the other, specifically, NewAge killings (and everything else) I've told you about in the five years I've been doing this blog, there's absolutely nothing to indicate a world-wide NewAge cult. No way. It's just not possible.

A much more logical explanation for all this is (wait for it) because I declared myself a conservative, I've gone crazy.

Yea which, to me, makes total sense.

Since a conservative is anyone trying to go straight, while cultists are cooing that "ev-e-ry day is a winding rooooad,..."

Can you hear me, America?

This is the Glenn Black program.

**Sorry, but I re-read this post and thought I didn't take my best shot at the weird kind of Glenn Beck fuzzy-brained atmosphere-thing I was going for, and I needed to add more links. So I'm saying, after I got home from work, I probably too hastily re-wrote parts, and yea, I'm sorry to do that to you, but look at it like a NewAger:

Now it's alive and vibrant.
