Painful Actualizations (In Political Theatre)

In the face of The Macho Response (as represented by President Trump) to The NewAge Movement (now ably-represented in politics by Bernie Sanders) the break-up of this weak, post-Bomb Squad Public Enemy is only another of the latest obvious symbols, of the left’s continued disintegration, around the world.

(PE is weak, no matter how you cut it, in the aftermath of Who Killed Malcolm X?, being long-time supporters of the Nation of Islam, that murderous cult.)

In entertainment, the Kabbalah Queen, Madonna, has fallen and can’t get up - in France of all places - just as the broken oracle, Oprah Winfrey, did here, talking about “balance” before she morphed into an evil version of Eddie Murphy’s Aunt Bunny losing her dignity on her way down the stairs (“My shoe!”).

The power-hungry nastiness, at the heart of NewAge, isn’t winning them anything - anywhere - but, of course, they’ll never give up.

It’s a cult...Americans are always a little late to grasp the phenom.

Grasping is all NewAgers “train” to do.

Miley Cyrus Can't Even Start To Compete With Madonna

Terrible news - Madonna's "twice" married spiritual leader, Phillip Berg, has died - and (as rationalizing more than one marriage indicates) in what's become the NewAge's traditional fashion:
"In 2010 I told you about Karen Berg globe trotting around the world with a new paramour while Philip Berg languished at home.
Thanks to the canny manipulation of a few celebrities, the Bergs have managed to amass quite a war chest and a lot of real estate. In the last few years they managed to get Madonna involved in the ill-fated charity Raising Malawi, collecting millions of dollars for a leadership academy that was never built in the central south African country of Malawi."

That's O.K., unlike Obama, she was working for style points.

Got 'em, too.

Now let's Twerk!

Lego (I'm Outta Here - And I'm Pissed,...)

Alright, first read this and then I've got some questions:
When Ashton Kutcher decided to split with Demi Moore, his love life wasn’t the only thing that needed an overhaul. While married to the crazy, aging star he was knee-deep in Kabbalah teachings.  He appeared to be as devout in the practice as Demi and it was one of the things that seemed to cement their relationship. Somewhere along the way Ashton took a good hard look at his entire life and realized that more than just his relationship was a bad fit. When he and Mila Kunis, who is Jewish, first hooked up a year ago she made it perfectly clear that she wasn’t going to be studying Kabbalah for him. She, like many, feels it’s not a legitimate religion and even made fun of it.
Flash forward a year and apparently Ashton too, is seeing Kabbalah as a big sham.

Man, that guy is s-l-o-w (Certainly, Mila Kunis - like Demi Moore, Madonna and Angelina - likes 'em stupid) and the line "she made it perfectly clear that she wasn’t going to be studying Kabbalah for him" is a classic. What a schmuck Ashton is. (Way to go, Mila!) O.K., enough - here's my questions:

1) Would you trust the long-term stability of someone who was always switching religions, based on who he or she was sleeping with at any given moment?

2) Would you trust the long-term stability of someone dumb enough to fall for Kabbalah

3) Would you trust the long-term stability of a marriage to someone who's already got a history of ending them - someone who thinks they're involved in a, immature, boyfriend/girlfriend enterprise - when we can only have one "spouse" in a lifetime?

4) If you were the sucker - dumb enough to let some idiot talk you into "a big sham" - would you wait until you're no longer an idiot before you got involved with someone else, or would you just jump in with both feet, and potentially damage your (new) loved one through your lack of common sense?*

 5) Would you marry a Jew? (Kidding,...)

*#4? I'll answer this one:

You're pathetic - and will do anything, to anyone, to get your way. You have no "loved one" (new or otherwise) besides your own image. You can switch "spouses" because your hippie parents taught you other people are interchangeable. Just as your beliefs are. (You believed you loved this person, now you love this one,...) What's it matter who you hurt or what pain you caused? Hurting others is how your parents raised you to became "you". First, they did it to their parents, and now it's everyone else who would dare tell you "no". The Peace & Love culture raised you to be a selfish asshole - but with that stupid-assed dumb and silly smile.

Well, fuck you and fuck them:

You've had the whole thing backwards from the beginning,...

These Are Headlines (Form A Line And Give Me Head,...)

Oh wow - a member of The "Bigotry" Brigade got called out as crazy:
For a conservative commentator, David Brooks gets plenty of flak from the right. And he doesn’t much care.
If it’s from a loon, I don’t mind it,” the New York Times columnist tells me in a video interview. “I get a kick out of it. If it’s from Michelle Malkin attacking, I don’t mind it."
I know, it's David Brooks, but still - nobody EVER tells these people they're nutty.

It's just not like that where I come from.

GOD IS GOOD:

LET ME SEE IT - STRICTLY FOR "RESEARCH" - AND I'LL BE THE JUDGE:

Jailed Texas group-sex teacher Brittni Colleps says, ‘I was victimized in that video’

IT'S WEIRD - MY FRIENDS AND I JUST GET TOGETHER FOR COFFEE:

Inside Tom Cruise and Scientology Chairman David Miscavige's Complex Relationship:
"There’s a point of no return, and I think Tom has crossed it," says Hall, who worked closely with Miscavige and knew Cruise slightly. "The time for him to leave was a long time ago. The lines between him and Miscavige are so blurred now."
The consensus from interviews conducted during the past two months with dozens of former Scientology members who freely divulge church secrets was that Cruise’s relationship with Miscavige was symbiotic. Rinder says Cruise was a "really nice guy" when he first joined the church but, over time, took on more and more of Miscavige’s personality traits. "In Scientology, it’s called being in someone’s valence," says Rinder. "Cruise has assumed a lot of Miscavige’s qualities."
Church literature defines the concept of valence in part as "another’s identity assumed by a person unknowingly; a valence is a substitute self taken on after the fact of lost confidence in self or a failed valence or as a solution to a problem."
Karen De La Carriere, who says she was one of Scientology’s most well-known and respected auditors until she left in 2010, notes that Cruise was "practically channeling" Miscavige during his infamous interview with Matt Lauer on Today in 2010.
"The way he lit into Matt Lauer, calling him glib and attacking him -- that was exactly how David Miscavige deals with people," says De La Carriere. "That was the purest example of how Tom is in Miscavige’s valence. It’s a scary thing to watch."

AND, FINALLY, I THINK "CONGRATULATIONS" ARE IN ORDER:

It's All Around You: Conductor Robert Spano on Music & Metaphysics (Numerology & Kabbalah)

Here he talks about Mozart, Numerology, Freemasonry, and how these ideas are embedded into the music we're intimately familiar with - embedding them in us.

And here, he describes the nonsense Madonna's been studying, which would explain why she hasn't been able to make a decent song since adopting it.

It's All Your Fault (You Don't Love Her Enough)

One of TMR's tags that gets the best workout is for "delusional thinking". I have to whip it out so often it's mind-boggling. You know, like when Gwyneth Paltrow says of those who don't like her:

"I think there's a part of me that because I think I do a lot, I think my work ethic is the reason why I'm successful. I think that a lot of people don't want to put in effort and it's easier not to change, not do something good for you, not work on your relationship, not make yourself a meal, not work out.

"[They're just] pissed off at someone else doing that.

I'll just do what I'm doing because, especially now, we live in a world now where everybody is able to express their opinion."
Umm, yeah. Before I get to those opinions she's so adamant about expressing, I just want to post two by her critics because I think they're so cool. First up is this one:
If not for your parents, you would probably be waiting tables at IHOP!
Paltrow's parents are Blythe Danner (above) a famous television actress, and film and television director Bruce Paltrow. My take? The critic is probably right. Next comes this comment:
Wow, I think she thinks a little too much of herself. She seems to believe she is doing something special; cooking healthy meals for her family, exercizing, working, and being a mom. What is she reinventing the wheel? Sounds like most moms. Cooking at least two meals a day? Sounds mundane to me! Maybe her conceit is why she is so disliked by some.
Or - try this one on for size - her unwillingness to even consider her conceitedness might have something to do with it! Fuck the haters! Fuck the haters!

Whatever it is, it has nothing to do with her regularly turning up on the lists of people who spread misinformation. (There's those nasty opinions again. Do you think Gwyneth Paltrow would be as conceited if she knew half of how stupid she is?) Or that scientists have called Goop - and her opinions - "loopy". Or her participation in the Kabbalah cult. Or the twisted public image she's created with her girlfriend, Madonna. No, no - it's all just insecurity on other's part:

There's absolutely, positively, no delusional thinking going on around here,...

"ttthemachorrspinsr" (Some People Need Help)

When this is worthy of an announcement, you know your country is a loser:
First homeopathic remedies are expected to be available in Slovenia this week as the national Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices approved them on 30 March. Slovenian pharmacies have been preparing for their arrival for years, with more than 300 chemists having completed training in homeopathy.
Let's see - dilute something in a vial of water, shake the vial of water, and then hit it against a Bible. That's what "more than 300 chemists" in Slovenia call "science". Oh well, it's good enough for Whole Foods shoppers.

Welcome to The New Dark Ages.

This one comes to us from America in the '70s:
Cows were sacrificed by aliens sending the White House into a panic declassified FBI files have revealed.

It is claimed that more than 8,000 cows were abducted by UFOs before they were mutilated and thrown back down to earth over the southern United States during the 1970s.

The memo is one of thousands of previously unreleased classified files that the bureau has made public in a new online resource called The Vault.
This sounds fake, but I'm including it because it's NewAge and stupid.

Now let's go for NewAge and sinister:
The leader of a small religious group, already facing charges for allegedly raping his teenage daughter in the name of God, is now being accused by his own sister.

The woman says he also coerced her into having sex by taking advantage of her mental depression and her struggle to find religious answers.

Terrill Dalton has proclaimed himself to be the Holy Ghost and the father of Jesus. "From the Lord I've been told, 'Yes, that's who I am,'" Dalton said in a 2009 interview. Along with Geody Harman, Dalton leads a small group called The Church of the Firstborn and the General Assembly of Heaven.
Money and sex, money and sex, what is spirituality but money and sex?

Control.

This isn't a first, but I want to hear more:
One year ago, Madonna’s former personal manager Caresse Henry committed suicide.

Now, Henry’s sister Yvette Dobbie, who believes that Madonna and her connection to Kabbalah played a part in her sister’s suicide, is about to write a book about the tragedy.
Madonna cut her off, as all Newagers cut off those who don't go along.

Control.

My friend, Ann Althouse, got into the act:
Take your bogus energy and get out of here.
That's probably the quote of the day. The Advice Goddess ain't crazy about the wimpies either, saying "I Am Man-Pussy, Hear Me Apologize".

Good for her.

And finally (for this post) James Arthur Ray's mom says he's been misportrayed:
I think that he's being portrayed as a real cruel human being, as someone that has no feelings for anyone, that just wants to be a dictator so to speak, and that isn't him at all.
No, no, no - he's just killed a few people and didn't even try to help them when he had a chance. He's a sweetheart. A pussycat.

Another NewAge gift to humanity.

Spiritually Enlightened Former Material Girl Now Missing Material Despite Spiritual Enlightenment

Whoo, buddy, you know that Madonna stopped being the Material Girl a while back, and even chased her husband away because she'd become spiritually weird over Kabbalah, right? Well, of course, there was another man involved with her - no matter who she was having sex with - and he was the reason she's been acting like such a non-good-record-making ding-dong for so long. At least that was true until now:
Madonna has removed the board of directors of her Raising Malawi charity amid accusations it wasted £2.4 million on a project to build a school that never got off the ground.

The 52-year-old singer has herself now taken up the reins of the charity, which aims to help orphans and children with AIDS in the African state.

Among the board members axed is Kabbalah co-director Michael Berg.

Madonna took the decision after the charity’s £9 million flagship project the Raising Malawi Girls’ Academy - was abandoned last week following an audit which discovered £2.4 million had been frittered away by staff on golf memberships and chauffeur-driven cars.
Being a cult hater - I don't just dislike the phenomena but hate it - I always think it's cool when someone has spent a decade, and a fortune, smugly abandoning everyone while turning into a weirdo because his or her guru is Mr. Know-It-All, only to find out they've been made a fool of all along - just as everyone sane told them.

What can I say, when I'm looking at the ultra-rich and I'm broke because of cults?

I gotta get my kicks somehow.

Falling For The Ol' "Spiritual Enlightenment And Personal Growth" Trick, eh? (Well, Let It Begin!)

I keep trying to tell you there's a clear connection between the American "progressive" contingent's love for NewAge spirituality, gullibility, and lying, with the economic mess we're in - the connection being the idiotic acceptance of one has led to the other - but, now that Madonna's African school deal is falling apart, maybe you guys can finally figure it out for yourselves - or maybe not:
Courtenay Geddes, a wealthy heiress from Pasadena, California, has sued the Kabbalah Centre of Los Angeles and all of its entities alleging a major swindle. Geddes’s suit — for $20 million– was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in February 2011. The news of the lawsuit comes on top of headlines concerning Kabbalah’s Raising Malawi charity reneging on a promise to build a girls academy in Malawi with pop star Madonna. As I reported exclusively yesterday, the Kabbalah Centre and Madonna have now hired a top spin doctor, Mark Fabiani, to protect the image of the singer and the organization.

Geddes didn’t name Madonna as a defendant in her suit, but she named everyone else from the Berg family to John Larkin of Larkin Business Management. Larkin is the accountant for Kabbalah. (His firm was sued in 2009 by the Black Eyed Peas for failing to file a decade’s worth of tax returns.)

In her suit, Geddes claims that in 2007, two years after she joined the Los Angeles chapter of Kabbalah, she proposed several ideas to the Bergs and to Larkin about educational projects for their subsidiary, Spirituality for Kids–now known as Success for Kids.

Geddes, whose grandfather was a German American billionaire whose considerable trust she inherited, says the Bergs and Larkin loved her ideas. She wound up investing around $500,00 in the effort. At the same time, she also became involved, she says, through other Kabbalah Center members, Donald and Orly May. She invested $800,000 with them in a real estate scheme. She’s now also suing them as well, separately. Geddes is suing the Centre, the Bergs, Larkin, and other defendants for $700,000 that she laid out, plus damages.

In her lawsuit, Geddes alleges the following: “Geddes, while looking for spiritual enlightenment and personal growth and improvement, was manipulated by Kabbalah Center and the other defendants who advantage of her sincere, trusting nature to deprive her of her monies…Kabbalah Centre has a historical pattern and practice of defrauding people by soliciting monies for various projects that never come to fruition. Geddes is but one of numerous people who have been taken advantage of the by Defendants by leveraging their position in the community as spiritual guides.”
All that money, thrown down the toilet, and for what? And don't think Madonna isn't going to be dragged into it - she will. The Material Girl mocked the anti-cult crowd when we tried to warn her (see photo) but now it's all unravelling and, like all the others, no one gets away once that happens:

It's just a matter of time.

Hey - We Told Them To Try A School For Boys,..

This is great because A) I haven't done a Madonna post in a looong time, and B) I can't stand Madonna. So, if you can grasp it, work with me to try and appreciate the full zen-like irony of this Kabbalah master's spiritual group working to create nothing:
A high-profile charitable foundation set up to build a school for impoverished girls in Malawi, founded by the singer Madonna and fellow devotees of a prominent Jewish mysticism movement, has collapsed after spending $3.8 million on a project that never came to fruition.

The board of directors of the organization, Raising Malawi, has been ousted and replaced by a caretaker board, including Madonna and her manager, officials with the organization said Thursday. Its executive director, who is the boyfriend of Madonna’s former trainer, Tracy Anderson, left in October amid criticism of his management style and cost overruns for the school. These included what auditors described as outlandish expenditures on salaries, cars, office space and a golf course membership, free housing and a car and driver for the school’s director.

Most strikingly, the plans to build a $15 million school for about 400 girls in the poor southeastern African country of 15 million — which had drawn financial support from Hollywood and society circles, as well as the Los Angeles-based Kabbalah Centre International, an organization devoted to Jewish mysticism — have been officially abandoned.
It honestly doesn't get any more metaphysical than this:

Madonna and her manager (!) sit on a charitable board, to help extremely poor girls, through building an already-overly-expensive school that will never exist.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love it!

It's not as cool as Oprah's African "Leadership Academy" for girls, which resulted in rapes and lesbian relationships with the principal (and other horrible weirdness) only to have Oprah admit she was too busy, picking out drapes, to pick the staff, but it's close. I mean, if Madonna doesn't build it, who can get hurt, correct? (Of course, right after all that, Oprah gave one of her American audience's A NEW CARRRRR!!!! and then nobody cared about what happened to no stinkin' African kids.)

The choice of "the boyfriend of Madonna’s former trainer" as executive director is a nice touch as well. Message:

She cared.

Sigh.

Strike a pose.

Today Show - Good Job (But Not Good Enough)

We're so glad to see the The Today Show (and The New Yorker) tackling the Scientology investigation by the FBI - not only because the investigation's happening and, because of award-winning film director, Paul Haggis, is getting publicity - but because, for instance, this television interview offers us an opportunity to speak intelligently on a subject we, by now, tend to goof on because (since so few seem to care who NewAge hurts) there's nothing left to do sometimes but have some fun with it. Well, for this post, fun time is over:

The most important quote is from Paul Haggis himself, stating, "I was in a cult for thirty-four years. Everyone else could see it. I don't know why I couldn't." We say it's the most important because, A) it's the only time the word "cult" - not "church" - is mentioned, and B) it goes to Matt Lauer's repeated questioning of how a supposedly-smart person could get caught up in a cult in the first place, a question the New Yorker's reporter can't sufficiently answer - nor Haggis. That's easy, though probably difficult for someone to admit:

These folks (actors, politicians, and the like) are creative, which is one thing, but not nearly as smart - something totally different - as they think.

Put another way, clever don't equal brilliant, folks. Remember our homeopathy guy, saying he got into it because he's an "idiot"? That's the truth. And only when one can admit it are they approaching real knowledge about themselves. Think of other NewAge cultists we're familiar with:

Madonna trying to convince politicians to put Kabbalah water in nuclear reactors. Was that smart?

Gwyneth Paltrow's repeated forays into handing out insane received wisdom on health. Does that reveal she's smart? Or that her nickname, "Goop" is a more accurate description of her mental processes than she'd like to admit?

NewAge Punch Line, Jim Carrey, falling for Andrew Wakefield's quackery, and hooking up with Jenny McCarthy to fight childhood vaccinations. Highly intelligent, right?

It's unfortunate that Matt Lauer couldn't get someone familiar with cults to be on the program, since they would be able to explain how flattering it is for these already-special members of society (who, deep down inside, probably already thought of of themselves as smart since they're famous) to think they know something others don't - a fact Haggis hints at, when he says he didn't get out of it what he thought he would, which we read as he's learned a Scientologist is not much different than the rest of us after all. No special powers, or insights, to be had there.

Just decades of convoluted garbage that Haggis learned to master, until he understood that being called an "Operating Thetan VII" is all the reward he's going to receive for entering the Seventh Circle of Hell.

Another reason these "smart" lightweights get caught up in NewAge is,...what's to stop them? We live in a NewAge cult-saturated world, where Oprah peddles this crap to the masses (now on an entire network) and few ever say she's full of it. (The insistence that we should be "non-judgmental", a NewAge tenet, is almost accepted as a law in certain parts of the country.) Instead - more flattery - we celebrate her success at it with Kennedy Center honors and dinners at the White House - with Paul McCartney, the man who brought us the fraud of the Maharishi. That's a long way from laughing at Nancy Reagan for talking to a psychic, huh? Hillary Clinton, who also was talking to a psychic in the White House, is now Secretary of State, though, for the life of us, we don't understand how or why. Maybe it has something to do with her husband - a former president - being in cahoots with NewAge cult leaders Tony Robbins and Ken Wilber. We really don't know.

We do know Barack Obama is in the White House, partially, because of Oprah and the cult of NewAge's support.

To be cont'd.

George Lucas Meet Jared. Jared Loughner Meet George Lucas. You Two Talk - You're Both Nuts!

See, we always suspected all that talk about "The Force" and other bullshit in Star Wars was just a bunch of "spiritual" flapdoodle, meant to condition the culture for the NewAge - now here's Seth Rogen on the connection between Jared Lee Loughner and George Lucas:

“George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.

“He’s going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry...’

“I first thought he (Lucas) was joking... and then I totally realized he was serious and then I started thinking, ’If you’re George Lucas and you actually think the world is gonna end in a year, there’s no way you haven’t built a spaceship for yourself... So I asked him... ’Can I have a seat on it?’

“He claimed he didn’t have a spaceship, but there’s no doubt there’s a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go... It’s gonna be him and Steven Spielberg and I’ll be blown up like the rest of us.”
And y'all probably thought we were being too hard on Hollywood the other day when we called it a "nest of NewAge vipers" but, being from California ourselves (we went to high school in North Hollywood) we know that about which we speak:

America - the entire country - has been played by these frauds for decades.

Why do you think Pajamas Media's Roger L. Simon focuses on them? Why do you think Andrew Breitbart has a Big Hollywood site? Like everyone missing the motives of Jared Lee Loughner, those two conservatives probably don't even know why they've chosen to focus on "America's Dream Factory".

Hollywood is a bunch of NewAgers. That's why they insist on putting NewAge themes in films and television. (Don't get us started about television,...) Why they rarely make pro-American movies - going so far as even opposing their own country in wartime.

Why they don't try to help the Scientologists escape the cult. Or those tripping on Kabbalah. Or any other weirdness. (Have you noticed that, despite all of Hollywood's experience with them, there haven't been many movies warning us against cultism?) Why they're always threatening to leave when things don't go their way politically. Why no one picks on George Lucas for gaining weight, never getting a decent haircut, and making one bad movie after another. They're NewAgers. They're the Empire.

And George Lucas has always been Darth Vader.

But now he's fucking with TMR - and we're the best of the Rebel Alliance.
