    Her advice on ulcers is pretty standard course common sense -- until you get to the part about "whole foods" (what the hell is a "whole food" for a horse? beats me).

    And there are perfectly good, very safe medicines to give a horse for the treatment of ulcers (a big problem actually...hmmm) that don't cost all that much.
    But the best and most effective treatment is in their management and training.

    Oh the stories I could tell...

  2. Maybe stupid compared to us (although sometimes they make fools out of people, so what's that say?). Still, they know how to be horses better than anyone -- and some of the things we do to them runs counter to letting them be horses...hence ulcers.
    What's it say about us if we don't pay attention to them when what we're doing to them makes them sick? Who's the stupid one then?
