No posts for now. Got an MRI scan today. Lower back and neck.
The neck was 45 minutes of excruciating pain because I couldn't lay my head flat.
It took three tries. My left arm is on fire.

There were tears.
And I'm drained.
I'll write tonight, if I'm up to it.
Later,...
Ah, take the night off. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Sorry to hear this. Check this out, it might cheer you up some. I never considered this art until you expounded, but now, watching this kid, I'm thinking Coltrane, Count Basie, and Mozart all approve.

I hope you are okay. damn.
ReplyDeleteI'm awake and feel much better. Ate finally and all that. Now I just have to lay here, trying to avoid pain (and losing) until Tuesday when the docs look at the MRI and diagnose me. Grand.
ReplyDeleteThanks y'all.
And M Trumble, thanks for that Q-Bert! He looks great. He's invented scratches, invented a notation system for it, and does things experienced DJs swear there's no name for. A fucking Mozart.
I haven't seen him for long time. I miss the chaotic old days of his group, the Invisible Scratch Pickles, before everybody was afraid of him (He's no longer allowed to compete). THAT was fun!
He was on a label I did songs for, compilations. Billy Jam first gave the Pickles a place to play, record, and broadcast it live, pirate radio style. Sold a bunch of records. He was great to me, too. We always talked like old friends.
He, alone, is a memory worth waking up too!
Here's another copy of that article - with pictures.
ReplyDeleteCrack, I'm a huge fan of DJ Q-Bert. I have his whole discography. Anyway, hate to see that you are in so much pain, shit must really suck awful. On the bright side, no hiccups right? You get a diagnosis yet? Pinched nerves? Wracked vertebrae?
ReplyDeleteMethadras,

Not until Tuesday. And today's the first day I can swallow without pain, like a cat clawing my windpipe,..
