The Right Is Selective What Principles They Stand For (They Prefer The Ones That Reveal Their Hypocrisy)

Amazing - Conservatives are now completely tone deaf - or doesn't this statement also apply to the likes of Charles?

Let's see - television, newspaper columns, etc. - yeah, I'd say Charles is a dandy of the rhetoric game himself, thinking his words have influence.

And that statement also applies to Glenn Reynolds, who, today - while discussing Obama - also reminded us "nobody likes a loser." But I'm now supposed to like Reynolds, and Ted Cruz, after Reynolds supported Ted Cruz in his Win-From-Losing strategy over ObamaCare, right?

And, as I always remind you, no one on the Right is going to hold Glenn's feet to the fire for such wrong calls, leading them astray, or exploiting them, politically and financially, like he does others.

Or that his wife asks better questions than he does,...

Charles Krauthammer: Potential Deal A Defeat For GOP

Give Obama what he wants - simply because Ted Cruz backed the party into a corner and can't win? Why in the world didn't I think of that?

Oh yeah - it's crazy talk - and that's not my area of expertise,...

I Have A Message For The G.O.P. They Won't Like At All

I wrote about the silly neener, neener, neener bullshit the Right is using on Obama - trying to pass it off as politics - and it looks like they're sticking to it:

Thank you, Captain Obvious - I mean, Charles. So - now what?

By almost all accounts, this situation is identical to what Bush was facing, which should mean we back this president as we did the previous one, does it not?

I don't know, because our biggest brains - obviously still sore over getting beaten twice by "The Choom Gang" - are too busy playing "Gotcha!" to form a coherent thought on any matter of importance.

So what's my "burning message" to my party?

You've heard it before:

Get your fucking act together and GROW-THE-FUCK-UP,....

Listen To Cons Chatter (And Find That's All There Is)

The Crazy Vote. Mark Levin says "I Will Do Everything I Can To Make Sure Christie Is Not The Nominee." Because actually picking someone from our "side," who the American public can get behind, is madness. "I bet he's done ten great things, but he hasn't done enough." Levin says. So, the man who said he'd be glad to fight with the hopeless Romney as president won't fight with Christie, though he's got an actual shot at winning. Like I said, Mark's gone crazy.

Rand Paul - being not a Birther - wins the less-crazy vote. Sounds like he's been listening to his dad, who called his dust-up with Christie "irrelevant" and seemed embarrassed his boy has learned so little. Good.

BTW - shades of Obama - isn't that reporter in the last clip the same one who, unprompted, called George W. Bush a monkey? Why yes, yes it is. Curious thing, that.

The semi-sane vote. Charlie seems to think the R's have an attractive field with Chris Christie and an assortment of obvious wannabes and milk toasts (Please stop putting Bobby Jindal in front of me - it's not going to happen). He's right, that Hillary can be beat, that she's an unattractive candidate. So what do you do? Right now, playing to our strengths, we elect Christie and deal with that fall-out afterwards.

But first, as always, we haveta win,....

Knowing When To Crouch Down (Still Pretty Important)

That's Charles on Egypt - here's me a few days ago:
"Bad actors all around, also not very bright - not a good idea.

Better to let those that want democracy earn it, so better is precious, giving a hand only if they keep going in the right direction and someone then thwarts them.

Until they make their intentions clear - and rape isn't very convincing - we should keep our distance."
Meanwhile, the rest of the Right is so obsessed with trying to throw everything Obama does into the absolute worst light, even a common sense approach to danger is now portrayed as INSANE

That's disheartening - but has since inspired the first task on my To Do List for fixing the Republican Party's politics through critical thinking - get this, it's pretty smart:

"1. Write major CPAC speech on how, and why, we come in when it rains,..."

Speak English

If you're backing the Democrats and the teacher's union in Wisconsin, don't forget what you're supporting:
In the private sector, the capitalist knows that when he negotiates with the union, if he gives away the store, he loses his shirt. In the public sector, the politicians who approve any deal have none of their own money at stake. On the contrary, the more favorably they dispose of union demands, the more likely they are to be the beneficiary of union largess in the next election. It's the perfect cozy setup...The Democrats' strength lies in government workers, who now constitute a majority of union members and provide massive support to the party. For them, Wisconsin represents a dangerous contagion.
So, if you're backing the Democrats and the teacher's union in Wisconsin, you're fighting for a rip-off of your own money.

Get it back.

INSTAPORNDIT II: Global Warming = The View?

We're finding it remarkable how people will keep referring to a person - or society - being in thrall to a religion, or a cult, but never discussing what that actually means for how decisions are made, resources are spent, or the consequences we face from this type type of thinking.

Here's Charles Krauthammer on PBS's "Inside Washington":
Look, if Godzilla appeared on the Mall this afternoon, Al Gore would say it’s global warming…

[Laughter]

…because the spores in the South Atlantic Ocean, you know, were. Look, everything is, it’s a religion. In a religion, everything is explicable. In science, you can actually deny or falsify a proposition with evidence. You find me a single piece of evidence that Al Gore would ever admit would contradict global warming and I’ll be surprised.
Laughter? Is that as deep as the thinking out there gets? Al Gore believes in the religion of Global Warming. Titter, titter. Nothing about how much we've spent on this nonsense. Nothing about the effects of the hysteria on the public. Just,...nothing.

We think it's a crime how smart these people think they are, and sell themselves as, and, yet, how truly dumb they actually turned out to be.

Speaking of cults, there's now a guy claiming he was tricked into sleeping with a cult leader's wife. So, like, can we agree cult leaders are weird yet?

Whoopi Goldberg says she was a high-functioning drug addict. We guess that explains why she's always been another low-functioning comedian. And here's a question:

How many lame brains is Barbara Walters going to put on The View before she realizes she's hurting the image of women and not helping?

Now this little lady? If you ask us, she's doing everybody a whole world of good,...

We're Just Saving This To Rub It In Joe's Face

Jesus, some of the people who think they're worthy of being in front of us every morning, as though they're educating us, are about as dumb as they come. How these numbskulls can't see this particular assertion is going to backfire on them - BIG TIME - revealing them all to be fools, is amazing. It's already been proven wrong:

Oh well, we've got the tape. Now all we've got to do is wait,...

Why Lincoln Called In (The Very Flawed) Grant

We told you TMR's mantra ("If you defeat the Democrats, they'll be back, but - if you defeat NewAge - we're done with the whole lot of them") and here's the proof we're right, from Charles Krauthammer:
The great liberal ascendancy of 2008, destined to last 40 years (predicted James Carville), lasted less than two. Yet, the great Republican ascendancy of 2010 lasted less than two months. Republicans will enter the 112th Congress with larger numbers but no longer with the wind — the overwhelming Nov. 2 repudiation of Obama’s social-democratic agenda — at their backs.

“Harry Reid has eaten our lunch,” said Sen. Lindsey Graham, lamenting his side’s “capitulation” in the lame-duck session. Yes, but it was less Harry than Barry. Obama came back with a vengeance. His string of lame-duck successes is a singular political achievement. Because of it, the epic battles of the 112th Congress begin on what would have seemed impossible just one month ago — a level playing field.
Back to Square One - great. Obama should be considering suicide, but nooooo! You people - yes, Glenn Reynolds, we're talking to you - thinking you're so fucking smart (Oh, everything's going to be different because you're into politics now!) will still never learn.

The Left originally threw the Right on it's heels by attacking it's religious beliefs (Bush was doing God's work, remember?) now, to ignore the Left's nonsense in a political battle, is insanity - especially when 80% of the country is Christian.

It should be obvious - you attack where the opposition is weakest - and the Left has no defenses for NewAge. So muster your forces, call on your God, whatever - but, first, you've got to know where to attack:

And this should be the first target.

Now quit pussyfooting around and just do it.

Questions? No - Sorry - Ain't Got No Answers

In his new "Don't touch my junk" column, Charles Krauthammer says this mini TSA revolt is Americans finally standing up to "idiocy". Americans being forced to live with idiocy is a constant theme of this blog (our "stupidity" tag is almost as well-used as our "New Age" tag) and a look at a few recent stories raises the question of why Americans have had to endure this weirdness - for instance:

Why are journalists consulting psychics about whether or not Kate What's-her-face and England's Prince William can look forward to a happy marriage? (Let's forget for the moment the royals are weird and, after what happened to Diana, probably shouldn't marry.) Don't journalists, at least, know psychics are bunk? So why are they talking to them? Even worse, why are they telling us what they say? Don't journalists have more important things to do? More importantly (Ha!) don't they know we have more important things to do than read what some con man (or con woman) says?

Why do we put up with this?

BTW - the woman in blue above? She's an attention-seeking asshole. The woman in red? She's the attention-seeking idiot. Carry on.

Why is mayor Michael Bloomberg enlisting Oprah Winfrey's help regarding who should set education policy in New York? Didn't Oprah do enough by declaring Obama "The One" and helping put him in the White House? What in the world does Bloomberg think - after that fiasco - Oprah Winfrey's political sense (or her word) is good for? Is she offering everyone a new car if they choose Bloomberg's candidate? Another trip to Australia - on Australia's dime? What?

All America got for going with Obama is this bizarre world of hurt.

Why do we celebrate patriotism when an immigrant becomes a new American citizen, but fear that same flavor of patriotism when a native born American exhibits it? Oh, those Americans who want to protect the borders from illegal aliens are racist and nuts, aren't they? And that Sarah Palin, or George W. Bush, going on and on about how much they love America - they're both comical and crude, right? But let somebody from anywhere else take a test to prove they know George Washington was the first president of the United States and the South lost the Civil War and - WHAM! - they can wave the American flag all day, unmolested by liberals and even cheered by them, anywhere in the country. Which seems like it's upside-down and completely insane.

Which is why we don't have any answers and hope you can fill us in.

Just, please, don't make your comments as crazy as the questions themselves:

We don't know if we can take anymore.

The World's Terrorist Fist Bump For The Big Guy

"Dick Cheney is a refreshingly forceful advocate of American exceptionalism, and the idea that the United States is a special country with a unique role to play in shaping history. He also understands the importance of maintaining and strengthening America’s key alliances. Unlike Obama, Cheney is a dedicated supporter of the Anglo-American alliance, and understands the importance of the Special Relationship as the central bulwark in the defence of the free world. He cherishes the friendship with Great Britain, and recognizes the huge contribution she continues to play in fighting alongside the United States, from Iraq to Afghanistan.

Perhaps most strikingly, Dick Cheney, like Ronald Reagan before him and in complete contrast to Barack Obama, views the world in terms of good and evil. For Cheney, engagement with America’s enemies such as Iran and North Korea is a surrender of American global power, and a shameful abdication of responsibility by the world’s only superpower. In this new era of appeasement, Cheney’s outspoken criticism, like that of conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, is increasingly striking a chord with an American public that is sharply turning against the Obama administration’s agenda.

Dick Cheney has become an extraordinarily influential game-changer in post-Bush Washington, emerging as Barack Obama’s leading nemesis on national security. It is not hard to see why. He is a formidable figure of tremendous principle, an unapologetic and uncompromising patriot who believes in the greatness of America on the world stage, as well as a shamelessly old-fashioned political pugilist in a modern age dominated by carefully choreographed spin. In the political arena today Cheney remains a sure-footed Rocky Balboa, landing punch after punch on his opponents. His latest intervention is another well-placed blow to Obama’s flailing leadership, and once again puts the White House firmly on the back foot."
-- Nile Gardiner, giving "Uncle Dick" his due - there probably isn't a better living American politician today (other than W., his former boss) - because, in a world of dicks, pussies and assholes, we know where we stand, like The Telegraph.

Stay With This Theme (And The Scheme Is Over)

"Was anything done about this potential danger? Of course not. Who wants to be accused of Islamophobia and prejudice against a colleague's religion?

One must not speak of such things. Not even now."

-- Charles Krauthammer, catching a whiff of the stench surrounding Fort Hood and spirituality - Anybody can believe whatever they want to believe? Really? How's that working out for ya? - as the dead bodies continue to pile up around the PC tenets of this NewAge culture, and The Washington Post.

Let's see, we got lots of dead and injured bodies. Dangerous cults. Everybody claiming ignorance of this well-known form of cultism in their midst. "Good Time Charley" suggesting nothing will be done. Hmmmm.

You know, I coulda swore I'd seen one of those blogs talking specifically about all this before (I mean, really bangin' on it - as a possibility of what we'd be seeing more of in the future) but I can't quite put my finger on what it's name is,...

Something "macho" or other.

Once Upon A Time There Was A Fairy Dust Prince Conning Everyone With Hope & Change

"One of the more provocative takeaways from last night’s jumble. In fairness, the Reagan realignment of the 80s was no less real for having suffered big blue gains in the 1982 midterms, but it is strange to find Democrats getting utterly destroyed, especially among independents, in a newly 'realigned' state just a year after The One made it part of his unicorn kingdom."

-- Allahpundit, clearly not buying into any of this Obama = NewAge nonsense I'm talking - "unicorn kingdom"? - but keeping his politics strictly about Hot Air.

The Choice Is Yours

"There are things to be done. Resist retreat as a matter of strategy and principle. And provide the means to continue our dominant role in the world by keeping our economic house in order. And finally, we can follow the advice of Demosthenes when asked what was to be done about the decline of Athens. His reply? 'I will give what I believe is the fairest and truest answer: Don't do what you are doing now.'"

-- Charles Krauthammer, bumping the other stooge's heads together - I wish there were only three of them - commenting on the farce in Washington, that's become The Weekly Standard.

How's It Feel To Officially Be In A Political Cult?

"What has occurred -- irreversibly -- is this: He's become ordinary. The spell is broken. The charismatic conjurer of 2008 has shed his magic. He's regressed to the mean, tellingly expressed in poll numbers hovering at 50 percent.

For a man who only recently bred a cult, ordinariness is a great burden, and for his acolytes, a crushing disappointment. Obama has become a politician like others."
-- Charles Krauthammer, stating once again (as I have a billion times from the very beginning) Barack Obama has led a political cult - whether most everyone else is too embarrassed to admit they were part of it or not - and now it looks like it's finally falling apart, to The Washington Post.

Funny, but no one doubts him when he says it. Nobody even questions it. But I catch hell. I think I've gotta start running with a better class of people,...

It's all becoming so pathetic now. Scratch that - this has been pathetic from the start. A political cult, rising to power in America. I could never imagine such a thing. With an electorate this stupid, we can kiss goodbye the idea "it could never happen here" forever. I've seen it. It's happened already. With everyone's blessing. Because the guy was black.

Hitler would be shocked - and yet, perversely, oh, so proud.
