Folks, We've Caught A Rat In The White House

"Obama has essentially endorsed the detention policies of George Bush without the courtesy of apologizing for slandering him over the last two and a half years.  Obama and his allies screeched endlessly about indefinite detentions, and not just in Gitmo, either. They specifically railed against the holding of terrorists without access to civil courts in military detention facilities around the world, specifically Bagram, but in general as well. Not even six months into his term of office, Obama realized that Bush had it right all along.

Did he even have the grace to admit that? No. Instead, the White House took the cowardly method of a late-Friday leak to let people know that Obama had adopted the Bush policy all over again. Barack Obama just appeared at a press conference this last Tuesday to discuss Iran, energy policy, and ObamaCare, where he could have told the national press that he had changed his mind on indefinite detention. Instead, he kept his mouth shut, and had his media staff whisper it into phones to a couple of White House favorites in the press.

It’s a shameful performance, and the measure of the man in charge.

Addendum: I guess Obama has finally conceded to Dick Cheney on national security, hasn’t he?"

-- Ed Morrissey, backing me up on something I've said a billion times: NewAgers never apologize, thinking that kind of honesty is just so much Hot Air.

The people who voted for this clown are morons - racist black skin-worshipping morons - and, if the rest of the American people don't say something soon, we will officially become a nation of morons.

Save yourselves - and your country.

And stop worrying about whether you look good doing it: Just do it.

  1. No different from Bush? So that's why Obama's approaching countries to see who will take the detainees before he attempts to close Gitmo.

So that's why he's called the cops off marijuana use for the terminally ill in California.

So that's why he's opening up a dialogue with the Iranian govt (the same thing that is throwing the other right wing blogs into an apoplectic fury)and declaring that the US has no quarrel with Islam.

So that's why he's making overtures to the Americas instead of rattling sabres.

So that's why he's describing the Iraq invasion as a 'war of choice' and setting a deadline to withdrew the troops and transfer the effort to Afghanistan.

So that's why he's including defence spending in the overall budget so there is open accountability.

So that's why he's defying the tobacco lobby group and passing tougher legislation.

    Yeah, no difference. Some rat.

  2. You can't read or think, can you?:

    He's not closing Gitmo.

The "terminally ill in California" are liars when it comes to marijuana - I know: I knew Dennis Peron when he started the initiative to legalize it for the ill: it was a cynical ploy, NOT a compassion issue - and, as usual, they fell for it. They always fall for it. Dummies.

His "dialogue with the Iranian govt" is worthless - (you can't tell?) - like talking to an angry pitbull, and Bush, repeatedly, declared that the US has no quarrel with Islam. How fucking original is that? And did you give Bush any credit for that, Oh great and "Anonymous" dickhead?

He's making overtures to the Americas instead of rattling sabres - and they're giving him (even more) books on socialism. Great. Just what we need. Ever heard of a little thing called self-respect? Think it applies to us as well? Jeez.

The Iraq invasion was a 'war of choice' (and a damn good one, except for your wrenching of hair and bitching) and we'll see how setting a(nother and another) deadline to withdrew the troops and transfer the effort to Afghanistan works out. Your type said we "lost" Iraq already, so when you spout off like this you might want to consider you're cowards, and delusional.

"Open accountability"? Are you kidding? It's supposedly "open" for whatever he don't like - where's his? That was the campaign promise. Oh yea, I forgot: you don't hold him to his campaign promises.

Attacking tobacco - how brave, how new, how novel.

I'ma go have a cigarette and laugh now.
