Tip-Toe Thru Barack's Bullshit With Me

"I invite the Obama shills to explain why — if the Bush spending was so bad — the much-bigger Obama spending isn’t much worse,...it’s fair to criticize Bush for spending — and it’s also fair to point out the disconnect between the criticism of Bush’s spending, and the celebration — or at least covering-for — of Obama’s much greater spending. He’s 'making it worse.' Much worse."

  1. I'm happy to be concerned about the level of spending. I always have been. It's like Billy Bragg's North Sea Bubble "We're living in a north sea bubble/We're trying to spend our way out of trouble"

That's hugely risky whether you're trying to secure oil fields or revive the domestic economy. At the same time, if you're going to play at capitalism there's a real expectation that you'll balance your books and come through in the transaction. So you set up shop and hope for customers or you aggressively take what you want from the deal.

Whether you see this as cutthroat or realistic depends on your politics. But it's what they kneecap people for in the real world too.

I also found a good article by McCain's advisor. I've always said McCain was a canny and even a good man and this bears that assessment out.
