Keeping blacks down - at the voting booth - has always been a winning white strategy
Scott Walker's biggest booster is trying to prove she understands the black experience - through reading books:
”I was raised to be acutely conscious of the likelihood that no matter what degree of professional I am, people will greet and dismiss my black femaleness as unreliable, untrustworthy, hostile, angry, powerless, irrational, and probably destitute. Futility and despair are very real parts of my response.”
The atmosphere that white's create, and use, for their actions is never acknowledged
Gee, it sure must be difficult to navigate the world that way, though white's would say everything's fair and equal out there. And I'm surprised to read this quote, since this was posted on Althouse, and there's no mention of the accompanying laughter her commenters have for this experience - which Althouse never stifles:
