Let's Pity The Poor White's World View (As It Crumbles)

Naturally, because this is a racist white supremacist country, it's pretty stupid to expect anything else:

”I remember writing, right after Barack Obama was elected, that this country was not less racist the day after his election that it was the day before, and it might even be more so. And that I thought a lot of really ugly, scary things were going to start coming out of the ground. And it didn’t take very long for that to happen.”

Like some who want to quit smoking, and think they're in the clear after abstaining for a couple of weeks, living up to white's racist heritage was easy for some who thought they were past it:

”Judge Ramos found that the rapid growth of Texas’s Latino and black population, and the state’s 'uncontroverted and shameful history' of discriminatory voting practices — including whites-only primaries, literacy restrictions and actual poll taxes — led to a clear conclusion: Republican lawmakers knew the law would drive down turnout among minority voters, who lean Democratic, and they passed it at least in part for that reason.”

This is, in part, because whites get high on their own supply:

I like the word 'default,' for not only does it mean 'the result of not making an active choice,' but two of its synonyms are 'failure to pay' and 'evasion,' which seems incredibly appropriate, considering the group I wish to talk about.”

Thus, despite anything white's do (other than abandoning white supremacy) America will never be known as a generous or fair country:

”We have a system that treats you better if you’re rich and guilty than if you’re poor and innocent.”

Like Hitler, dying in the bunker, a surplus of pride prevents whites from doing what they must to save the nation they love:

”[Whites] should say, ‘I took something from you, and that made me possible.’”
