THE Breaking Story Of The NewAge: News Reporting Has Sucked For Decades

After we can now see it's taken over 5 years for "Washington insiders" like Joe Scarborough and Jake Tapper to recognize Joe Biden was out of his mind,
and it's been since October 7, 2023 that Piers Morgan has failed to recognize what most the of the world has seen all along in Gaza,
AND after thousands of reporters walked through the offices of Theranos but - still - couldn't see anything wrong without the aid of a whistleblower,
It's safe to say Obama giving Oprah America's highest civilian honor for her influence on journalism and culture - after she peddled quacks and con artists, anti-vaccine tropes and "The Secret" - just keeps making sense.

As has the silence from journalists.

Huey Lewis (Without The News)

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough keeps trying to make Donald Trump a cult leader, when he should know cult leaders are NOT elected, do NOT stand for elections, and their followers do NOT wait for elections to appoint them to the top spot. If anyone is acting cult-like, it's Joe Scarborough for A) NOT being able to take "NO" for an answer, and B) forgetting it was San Francisco Democrats - NOT the Republicans - who appointed a cult leader, Jim Jones, to office. So - if cult leaders in politics are his interest - he'd do better to look at that party a LOT closer (with it's many Oprah's, Gwyneth Paltrow's, and Marianne Williamson's) but forget the GOP.

A One NordicTrak Mind

Sweden.

President Trump’s question (if we heard “about Sweden?”) sent Joe Scarborough into another of his “Where’s Waldo?” phases. Again. Right after the president’s speech, my television was swamped, on all the cable channels, with Sweden. And now, even Sweden itself is getting in on the act, repellently slithering out on their liberal socialist bellies, to question what the president “meant."

Of course, it was the media that wrongly implied the president was discussing a terrorist attack in Sweden. But, the media’s not reporting that mistake (?), made from multiple outlets, with any vigor what-so-ever. Why not? That’s easy: because facts, schmacts, they’re just giving us the juice.

It was only a week ago, that CNN’s Brian Stelter was told by The Hollywood Reporter’s media critic, Michael Wolfe, that he and the mainstream media, both, were “having a nervous breakdown” and “bordering on the ridiculous.” But it’s had no effect. If anything, the media is getting worse by the day.

Anyone with unbiased eyes can see, neither the mainstream media, nor the Democrats (but I repeat myself) are taking their desperate need for a political autopsy seriously, deciding instead that the same reporters, badly keeping up with events (by wrongly framing them) is the more urgent job right now. It’s not. We don’t trust them. Not Trump – the media. The same media, who are – constantly, incessantly - telling us how utterly vital and important they consider themselves. That’s the utterly vital and important - and immediate -“news” we expect them to be dealing with. And they refuse.

The election of November 8th, 2016 made many points clear, but, as regards the media, two of them stand out: A) the media’s power is not omnipotent, because the American people no longer believe them, and B) the American people no longer believe them because their so-called “information” (like Hillary can’t lose) isn’t correct. In other words, the American people are onto the media’s rigged game, of ubiquitousness and bias, and we tune it out completely. That’s one reason we have President Trump when the media said it was impossible. It’s the media that’s being impossible.

The American people elected President Trump. And did so, seemingly, understanding President Trump clearly. So, if that’s the case, what’s the media’s problem with describing a speech? Why must I stare at my television, night after night, in total disbelief of what I’m hearing the president said – from someone else’s mouth – after I heard what he said, for myself, and that ain’t it? And how does Sweden get picked out - for multiple outlets - to become the focal point of a “free press”? (Are the editors on an open call somewhere, deciding side-by-side photos of the Obama/Trump Inaugurations are going to assault the public all morning wherever they look, or is that just happenstance?) And, if members of the American media can’t translate American, to Americans, then why do they hold the positions they do?

Why am I stuck each night wondering what it is the media – not the president - means?

Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind, Out Of This Fucking World

I've been trying not to blog Joe Scarborough today, because I try not to think of Joe Scarborough generally, but when he leaps into conspiracy theory territory, well, that's my bailiwick and I have to do it. According to Joe - good ol' level-headed, they-keep-wondering-if-he's-presidential-material, Joe - all the women accusing Bill Cosby of molesting them are looking for their 15 minutes of fame. Including, I gather, Kathy Lee Gifford - who says she turned down a kiss from Bill with the revealing "We're friends" and not the definitive "We're married." (Considering celebrity morals, is it any wonder why Bill might've gotten the wrong idea, there?)

Anyway, Joe Scarborough - wait. What? There - right ON:

I was able to forget about him after all,...

Joe Scarborough Might Get Answers With Some Blacks On His Show (Whenever He Decides To Lose His Mind)

That was MSNBC host Joe Scarborough, on his second day of ignorantly screeching about blackness, while not having a single black person on the panel of his show to answer him.

Like the "good" folks over at Althouse (and other fine white establishments) Hot Air also seems to approve this having-no-blacks-around-to-answer-white's-yelled-questions approach, saying "Joe Scarborough tears into the ‘hands up’ members of Congress," instead of the more accurate "Joe Scarborough ignorantly flails before the nation". (Better to have conservative whites, without the answers - but attempting to supply them - as a way to drive the hosts into suffering a full-blown panic.) Here's TMR's idea, free of charge:

MSNBC should hire a special "surprise" group of bone-through-the-nose black "cannibals," to push a pot of boiling water out for Joe, and they'll get the same reaction - plus better ratings - AND some black guys will have work. Make it a regular thing, whenever Joe loses it, and the black guys will even have a job.

But - before whites can try that - let me just say, I'm sure they can stop discriminating (and segregating) long enough to find at least one black person, somewhere, who agrees with conservatives enough (or at least their outrage enough) to also tolerate being physically around whites, white's ignorance of our own country, and the taint/aura of white supremacy - on television - all at the same time. Really. I know that's possible.

If not, all I can fully say, until then, is - wow, thanks:

While Joe's helpless yelping isn't very informative, it certainly makes for riveting black television,...

Joe Scarborough Takes A Stand: "What Am I Missing?"

The White-Wing media is having a blast watching Joe Scarborough getting flustered over the Ram's salute to Ferguson, since Joe swallowed the police's leaked-bait that Michael Brown stole some cigars, and thus deserved to die. Scarborough ignorantly steamrolls right over respectability politics (because there's no one on his panel who understands it) before acknowledging a lot of differences (but not the urgency) in how blacks and whites live - and are living - even as Joe's (oh so comfortably) speaking. He finally then passes the mic, only to discover only one person in the studio ("an old white guy") agrees with him. It looks like few outside agree as well.

But that's our White-Wing media:

There's no telling what they'll find inspiring,...

Joe Scarborough Almost Called Sean Hannity A Racist

I'm adding some new sites to my surfing these days, as I'm getting sick of the usual slack jaw I see repeatedly, and whattayaknow? I find an old clip of Morning Joe, livid, that Sean Hannity would repeat  the Right's oft-repeated charge that Trayvon Martin had it coming.

Quite revealing because, within the PJ Media/Hot Air/Ace of Spades/Red State loop, you'd never know it happened. Truthfully, within that scene, you'd never know anyone thought about a black person, as a person, unless he or she is a conservative. Outside of that, anything goes, baby, and it does indeed go - straight into the gutter.

Anyway, I missed this, but I'm glad to see it, if only to remind me (and you) there's more going on than this nasty standing water the Right's currently wading in.

Ted Cruz & Co. Can't Stop Themselves Because Obama

 It IS the wife-beater's lament:

I'm doing this because I love you so much.

That we have Mr. Chosen By God to thank for it fits, too,...

Free Association

Not according to professor Ann Althouse. To her, "inaccuracies and distortions" are "what is beautiful and wonderful about human life," so, clearly, she would be more enamored with celebrating lunatics inside of an insane asylum than straightening them out in her day job governing a classroom.

I can't help but wonder how deliberate students ever get a good grade from such an instructor, seeing how accuracy would always be deemed ugly and depressing? Naturally, submitting wrong answers has something to do with it, and I wouldn't be surprised to discover that lowering your hand when questions are raised would help things immensely, but then what? Not reading the assigned texts?

This IS how America exists now - as a nation of idiots, waiting to bring the whole thing down with them. It's inevitable. When even college professors are too bigheaded and arrogant to admit they're wrong, there's no hope - because there's no example for anyone else to follow.

The only thing that can make any of them stop is total failure.

Could Scientology's most famous ambassador be parting ways with the church?
A shocking report in the new issue of Star magazine, which hits newsstands Friday, details recent twists in Tom Cruise's life that's spurred speculation the Days of Thunder star might be inching away from the controversial institution he's become synonymous with.
“Tom hasn’t admitted that he’s definitely leaving Scientology for good,” an insider says of the new developments. “But he’s distanced himself from those in the church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren’t part of the religion.
Sources say an introspective Tom, 50, is weighing the damage his affiliation with the controversial church has done in his relationships with ex-wives Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman, as well as ex-girlfriend Penélope Cruz.
“Tom’s been leaning on friends who have different perspectives, getting advice on moving on from Katie as well as on everything he’s been going through with Scientology,” the insider said. “He’s finally seeing that being such an advocate for Scientology hasn’t served him as well as he’d hoped -- he’s gone through three divorces, and his public perception has sunk to an all-time low.”

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm definitely battening down the hatches, because there's really nothing left to do - with a choice between Obama and Romney, and a populace too dumb to say "no," they're locked into this now. They've already dumped over the gas can; from this point on they're just fumbling with the matches.

I’ve been obsessed with cults ever since I fled to my car during a three-day Landmark Forum course and had twelve messages from them waiting on my answering machine by the time I got home. I read everything I could about cults and found that the weekend course I had just attended was started by a man who used to study under L. Ron Hubbard. Then I started reading everything I could about Scientology, years before it was in vogue to do so.

Wait - studying cultism is now "in vogue"? I've been doing it for years and nobody told me. Whatever.

My biggest mistake wasn't in trying to understand what was driving this behavior, but in attempting to get others to see what they're doing. "Following" is what they've always wanted to do - what they've been trained for since birth. Why would I ever think I could talk them out of it? Because I'm "smart"? Well, whoop-de-fucking-do, a lot of weight that's going to carry with any Clique de la Fools, able to be talked both into and out of things, as long as you appeal to their loins and not their brains.
A departing BBC chief has criticised the culture of its London-based staff claiming senior executives 'marry each other and have affairs with each other'. Caroline Thomson, who leaves her position as chief operating officer today after 37 years, also warned the BBC could too easily become 'arrogant', 'above itself' and 'forget about everyone else.'
Join the club, if you haven't already,...

Liberals: Just Lovin' The Hate (& Being Haightful)

And people wonder why I call them Nazis - look at her:

Everyone there is amazed she's laughing, but she's not only laughing, she actually thinks a cruel, stale, David Letterman joke - that wasn't even funny 8 years ago - is hilarious!

Add in all the other things Libs have in common with Nazis and, I'm sorry, but the title fits too well. (Leftists probably never took it seriously, when historians said the Germans of the Third Reich were just normal everyday people, that they meant someone like themselves, but I've seen enough to know exactly what they meant.) Their love for "ancient teachings", worship of the Earth, "alternative" medicine, overturning elections, death threats and marches, and on and on and on:

They'd go whole hog without a thought (clearly) if given the opportunity.

UPDATE: Here's another clip I got from Hot Air, with Joe saying Obama should apologize for what he, and his supporters said about Bush and Cheney during the election, before Obama went on to hypocritically do everything they did. But, of course, no one who called them evil, or said they were shredding the constitution, will apologize because, as we all know, Nazis never quit:

We Will Never Fit The Narrative (We Never Have)

Over at Classical Values, there's a post about "Breaking The Narratives That Enslave Us". We won't explain it (you should actually click the link and go read it) but we do want to mention it features a black gay conservative man driving Liberals crazy because he doesn't feed into their expectations.

Now, over at Mediaite.com, the great John Ziegler explains why Kathleen Parker was "Doomed At CNN" with that Parker/Spitzer thing. Here's the take-away:
It is hardly a secret that the best (and perhaps only) way for an unknown or career-challenged conservative to achieve mainstream media acceptance is to be a sellout to their supposed cause (just ask Arianna Huffington, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, David Frum, Michael Smerconish, or Joe Scarborough, to name only a few).
Bingo! This is why black conservatives also drive Liberals crazy. We have to give up our values for the narrative to make sense.

How many times have we heard a Liberal ask a black conservative "How can you vote with those white people?" forgetting we do so because conservatives aren't the ones bringing up anybody's race all the time?

Of course, we black conservatives also have to fit a narrative on the conservative side, which will usually consist of something like denouncing Rap Music, accepting Christianity, and - let's face it - a whole lot of behavior modification.

This, too, will not do.

We've said many times the reason you should donate to this blog is because we want to restart our music career, and deliver to the other side a conservative message in the bold cultural manner they will find familiar and agreeable. We know that no one is doing it, and we feel no one else really can do it. Not like we can anyway. Nor should they be - if you know of another artist that can write and perform Rap, Rock, Jazz, Country, Industrial, Pop, Punk, and anything else you can think of, please, bring him/her/them forward:

We'd love to hear it.

TMR thinks we - and by "we" we mean we Americans - have got to disrupt many narratives to get this country going again. But, if we're asking for donations, then it should be obvious TMR can't do this on our own. We don't care how much it is or where it comes from (Rush Limbaugh? The Koch Brothers? Anybody?) but conservatives have to decide they're ready to shake this place up, by helping unconventionally conservative artists get a foothold in the underground, and the first way they can do that is by putting their money where their mouths are - then backing away - and abandoning the narrative of what we have to be:

Including the narrative that says even conservative artists must be tightly controlled before they can expect support from our fellows.

We're Just Saving This To Rub It In Joe's Face

Jesus, some of the people who think they're worthy of being in front of us every morning, as though they're educating us, are about as dumb as they come. How these numbskulls can't see this particular assertion is going to backfire on them - BIG TIME - revealing them all to be fools, is amazing. It's already been proven wrong:

Oh well, we've got the tape. Now all we've got to do is wait,...

Two Years In And They're Coming Apart (Yeah!)

Everyone's now talking about the possibility of Obama being a one term president (whodathunkit?) but our favorite scene is in this clip of Mika Brzezinski, unable to handle that "The One" fucked up, causing Joe Scarborough to arrogantly snap his fingers to keep her mind from wandering and deal with reality - comedy gold! (Let's face it: Ann Althouse she is not.)

And while we're on the subject of tough women (or was it delusional women?) we must admit we're impressed with Nancy Pelosi right now. As she said, Democrats "don’t let the Republicans choose" their leaders, so - while her running for leadership looks completely insane from where we sit - we do understand she's currently the Democrat to beat (which means she's probably further "gone" than we can ever imagine) and wish her well:

Don't you ever change, Nancy, we love you just the way you are!
