Remarkable

 

 Back when I was music director for Better Propaganda, there was this song (above) that I fell in love with. A kind, gentle little acoustic track, with some fun vocal effects, by a guy I've never heard from again, Mark Mulcahy. There's a good reason for that: 

The poor guy's wife died. 

But now, after 8 years away, Mark Mulcahy is back with a new "dark" album that Salon's raving about. I haven't heard it but I want to, as it's the same trajectory I'm on (Yes, I'm aware - my wife didn't die - but loss is loss, y'know?): 

Successfully re-emerging from darkness and depression, somewhat intact. 

It just ain't as easy as it sounds,...
