Meet Dumbbell Brown

She is the anchor of a CNN show humorously named No Bias, No Bull.

You may remember her from a previous show.

No – not Popeye.

NBC’s Weekend edition of Today, where she was a co-host. On that show, it was hard to not think you were watching a lame, giggly 7th grader at a slumber party.

NBC, realizing Today was becoming Nickelodeon, then seemed to have sent her to some kind of drama school and made her a Washington correspondent.

The over-the-top false drama that typified her reporting was picked up by Tracy Ulman in her cable show, and that comedy became indistinguishable from the real deal.

Now at CNN, she apparently has learned to bob and weave her head left and right, while reading news and pre-programmed comments that she appears to have no grasp of at all.

For Brown, it’s all in the act. You can almost see her concentrating solely on “1,2,3 left – 1,2,3 right” while speaking simply from rote.

All that head bobbing may work out well in bed, or even in a bout with Mohammed Ali, but for you it’s meant to look officious and distract you from noticing the bias and bull piling up on your shoes.
