Gen. Wesley Clark Has Always Been A (NewAge) Freak

This was just brought to my attention (no, I didn't know) and it got a huge laugh, until I really thought about it:
Despite going on parade with a beautiful woman half his age, 30-year-old entrepreneur Shauna Mei, 68-year-old Gen. Wesley Clark isn’t yet divorced from his wife of 46 years.
The retired US Army general and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander filed for divorce from his wife Gertrude Kingston Clark — whom he married in 1966 — last year,...
We’re told Clark met Mei, a former Goldman Sachs investment banker and founder of upscale online retailer AHAlife.com, at a Deepak Chopra conference in 2012. Gen. Clark was listed as an attendee of the Chopra Foundation Symposium in Carlsbad in March that year. Mei is listed as a speaker for the Chopra Foundation on its Web site.
We are told his wife was “totally blindsided and devastated by the divorce [which was filed in September 2012],” said a source who added, “Gertrude stood by him through all those wars, all those years, as they moved home 32 times because of his career.”
The source added, “The Clarks’ divorce has not yet been finalized, they are still working out a number of issues. It is not easy to end a 46-year marriage. It is very upsetting for Gertrude to see him out at black-tie events with Shauna. The whole situation is very painful.”

It's not painful to Deepak Chopra's spokesperson. You know, the people Oprah said are supposed to be bringing peace and harmony to the world? Is she bringing it to Clark's wife? Does she care? Is this what Mei (meh) learned from Deepak? How compassionate. "Through all those wars, all those years, as they moved home 32 times because of his career.” And now, along with adultery, divorce, and betrayal, the NewAger steps in to provide it's other traditional "spiritual" contribution:

  1. Exactly, and on top of the damage to his poor wife just think: this guy was in charge of national military matters and our troops.
What sort of quality of service would someone with such an obvious lack of ethics (and common sense -- Deepak? really? that relationship does not point to a lot of common sense to me, I'd prefer leaders with some) give?
And why are we so willing to give it a pass? Because Deepak and Oprah say so? Yeah, like there's two people I want to be taking advice from!

  2. When you hold/held that kind of power it is very hard to let go. However, that being said, having a 46 year marriage is also a very powerful thing and clearly the young yellow gasheesh had more power over him than he cared to admit until he finally told his wife of 46 years that he's trading up to a younger woman who is also, I believe a Chinese national and I highly suspect might be a Chinese spy.

    From a heavy.com article:

    4. Mei Was Raised in China and Feels Chinese Mei was born in Mongolia and raised in China before moving to the United States after the Tienanmen Square massacre. Her hometown is Beijing according to her Facebook profile. In an interview with a Chinese interviewer last year, Shauna Mei has stated: "I came to America when I was 8 and spent my first grade in China. I still remember a great Chinese role model called Lei Feng." Lei Fend was a soldier of the People's Liberation Army who was characterized as a "selfless and modest person who was devoted to the Communist Party" he also become a subject of a nationwide posthumous propaganda campaign.

In essence Wesley Clark is a fucking sucker. Why? Well, I'd say NewAge did this to him.
