Not too black but I prefer live and let live atheists. Your particular cult (uh oh, wrong word) FORM of atheism strives to prove religious or metaphysical experiences don't exist as if this particular form of atheism was the final arbiter of the validity of everyone's experience in this world.
By doing so you're putting yourself in the same position as those who deny that racism exists. Other than that you're a damn fine atheist!
Offline, I let everybody do what they will, I just write about it, online, and try to stay out of the line of fire.
As far as trying "to prove religious or metaphysical experiences don't exist as if this particular form of atheism was the final arbiter of the validity of everyone's experience in this world.", I think I may not be clear:
I'm not an atheist because I believe there's no God(s) but because there are none.
You can talk about "everyone's experience" all you want but, understanding the fallibility of the human brain, evidence is the only arbitrator and - after thousands of years - it's beyond sorely lacking.
Those denying American racism do so in spite of hundreds of years of over-whelming evidence.
I try to be better than that - whether it hurts me or not.
No.
