I think everybody needs to be prepared for the new order of things."Do you want to replace the existing Normal?" Well if not, then you'd better get ready, because this time we're going for a blowout - so you'd better get "on the team or get off the team."
But - whatever you do - don't get cut.
The battle isn't Republicans versus Democrats, Conservatives versus Liberals, or even Right versus Left.
ReplyDeleteThere are really two battles. One is generational (Silents and Boomers versus Generation X) and one is class-oriented (elites versus populists).
At the moment, the Right dimly recognizes the existence of both conflicts. Once the Left catches up, America will be completely transformed. You won't even recognize it.
Within ten years (and probably more like five), there will be a new consensus.
I hope you're right:
ReplyDeleteWe need one.
Political fraud? Would that be like hurriedly resigning as CEO of a company, running for office, and then awarding tens of millions of dollars of taxpayers' money to that selfsame company in an untendered contract?
ReplyDeleteThat level of political fraud?
No, I'm talking about the kind where you rely on Russian propaganda to inform yourself:
ReplyDeleteThat's the worst.
I thought it was you who was the useful idiot - a poor man trumping the corrupt actions of the rich.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah, no 'social class envy'. Whatever, loser.
I could tell you were going to fall into my trap of caring more about the source than the implication.
Point blank question: did Cheney's old company receive the benefits of his largesse while he was VP? Was that money his or was it the taxpayer's?
Is this corrupt behaviour?
You worry about a president whose every move is to see the money going back to the people (the taxpayer) and are oblivious to an elite who siphon that money off to use how they please.
The very definition of a useful idiot.
