I've actually thought about doing a piece on how famous NewAgers handle their relationships - y'know, how many are divorced, had affairs, betrayed their loved ones. It would have to be a major undertaking, because they all seem to trash anyone that gets close to them. Should I do it? What do you think?
Well, a lot of the really famous ones are actors, and relationships that crash and burn after a few years are kind of an occupational hazard. This is because if they're any good at their career, it's possible for their spouses to fall in love not with them but with one of their characters. The problem is compounded when both husband and wife are actors. So if you get involved with an actor, make really sure you know *them* before getting serious. They may not even be aware themselves if they're not being genuine, because they're so used to being someone else in their day-to-day job.
ReplyDeleteThe other factor, of course, is that being a really famous actor does screwy things to a person's ego, and that can be disastrous for a marriage.
