Bad (Not "Bad" Meaning Bad But "Bad" Meaning Good)

Larry Whilmore, The Daily Show's "Senior Black Correspondent," with some advice for Republicans that sounds awfully familiar:
"If you need to use blacks to reconstruct your party, try to find some blacks whose frame of reference is more current than the Reconstruction."

  1. Personally, I'm thinking this whole obsession over race consciousness is a European (or Europhile) plot to destroy America.
Honestly, left to myself I just really don't think about this stuff too often -- and also to be brutally honest, while I am never going to "get" fully and completely Black people (because I'm white), I "get" them better than I do white Europeans, because at least the Black guy/gal is American (say what you want about the lands of my grandfathers' cultural artifacts, it's cool and all, but it isn't really defining who I am, because I'm not Italian or German or whatever; hell, I'm ethnically and racially miscegenated to boot -- I can't claim anything BUT America!).
I mean, America was never "pure" anything -- and that's what's made her great -- so all this yipping about categories and shit and reaching out and whatever is really just about trying to enforce some sort of purity tests on people, and since America isn't..well, she'll get euthanized in the process like that poor mutt dog at the pound.

That's bullshit man; that's evil. No thank you -- I'm not a fan of people, but Americans are my favorites, so I don't want to see anything truly bad happen to them (besides, I am one, so you know self preservation).
