Shoulda Beena Malcolm Xistentialist (Not A John, Lenin)

I watch DVDs I grab from the library, or network television with the sound down, to avoid the broadcasts driving me mad. The so-called "morning shows" are the worst, with their incessant celebrity-driven propaganda on "health," "nutrition", and "nature" (they know nothing about any of them) all propped-up by their unspoken - but also, and especially, unchallenged - belief in "spiritual" mumbo jumbo.

I know - it's not nice for a black man to start his day by wanting to kill people - but, as far as I'm concerned, I was minding my own business and they started it and deserve to die.

The up-side:

In this way, to me, the library is saving lives.

So all's quiet on the Western Front. That last election was a game-changer - though more-or-less like a fumbled kick to the groin - making most reassess their next moves. The Left, having blown it's knock-out blow, now understands it's done nothing more than the equivalent of making a bee hive angry. Sure, their chests are stuck out, but they're still keeping their distance. And the Right, now understanding it's guilty of having gone a little crazy, wants revenge to regain it's honor, but now cares too much about appearances for all-out war. Crazy. Both sides have become cautious, stuck. Result:

This brief respite, in the closest thing I've seen to rationality for a long, long time.

Today's important stories (besides the usual) are about the changing of the guard, culturally.

You'll notice, thank goodness, I didn't say anything about anybody "passing the torch".

Nope - the tide has turned, the sands are shifting, and the dead are finally being washed out to sea. Now, as promised, "all will be revealed" - and before the hippies are gone - so even they'll see:

"Love" will NOT be the word to define their legacy,...
