OK, Back To Normal (As If There Was A Normal)

This line never gets old:

"When you get right down to it, nobody wants to be seen as New Age because nobody wants to be seen as irreparably stupid."

And here's a question:

If Oprah is so high up in the NewAge hierarchy, surrounded by (and getting personal instruction from) all the leading con men spiritualists, and becoming an enlightened being and all, why hasn't she disposed of her ego after 25 years of study?

The answer, of course, is because it's all bullshit and Oprah knows it. She's just playing the public for suckers, just as the liberal press does, and your neighborhood psychic.



Enlightenment has never called for spiritual beliefs but the abandonment of them because, as surely as the sun rises in the East, to bring the metaphysical into any serious conversation is to end it.

Or, at least, to end it's seriousness.
