NewAge cults - different names, same beliefs
Almost all NewAge cults push yoga
Almost all NewAge cults, including Mormonism, push "alternative" medicine
Almost all NewAge cults mix and match beliefs, for instance Mormonism is a miss-mash of the major religions with some Joseph Smith inspired hooey thrown in ("reform" Egyptian) while Scientology claims you can be of a major religion while still being a Scientologist, and other NewAge cults grab from all the majors plus Eastern religions.
NewAger Rielle Hunter and John Edwards - “till death do us part and probably beyond,”
Mitt and Ann Romney - "spiritually" married even after death
Scientology - L. Ron Hubbard, liar and fraud, infiltrated the I.R.S. and died running from the law
Mormonism - Joseph Smith, liar and fraud, tried to take over the government and died in custody
Scientology - lied to get tax exempt status

  1. I give up. The Democrats have always been a party that needed to be held at arm's length -- for a myriad of reasons -- and they really lost what faculties they did possess with the election of Clinton, just a full on acceptance of their dark side if you ask me.

Now the Republicans are following the same path with losing whatever faculties they had left with their Romney support. They're at the point of willing to support anything if it's their "team".

Don't get me started on Libertarians or Greens...

From here on out I'm on nobody's side, because nobody is on my side -- and screw my ideals, it's all for the cookie now; that's the way they want us to think -- fine, I'm adaptable and fair/balanced in my disdain for any and all sides except my own; gimme my damn cookie. I kick myself for not acknowledging it sooner -- that was dumb.

PS. looks like the polygamists took less time than I thought they would; thank you Utah (wonder how Mitt's going to deal with this potential issue? wonder if anyone will ask him?)

...and of course, because we are so open minded this isn't such a bad thing, because to hell with any consequences, we have to prove how nice and open minded we are! Mustn't be narrow minded, judgmental, bigots after all.

Only thing not making me laugh my silly butt off in anticipation of the chaos we're wreaking on ourselves? I'm a mom...and I love my kids enough to not want to see them have to suffer through this mess, hoping they have enough sense to clean it up.
Makes me want to sucker punch somebody right now -- preferably somebody who looks happy and nice.

  2. That was me, PW, by the way; if you say it you should own up to it, so I am.
