It's Apparent: The Healing Will Begin Now, Right?

"Celestial choirs will be singing and everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect."

-- Hillary Clinton, during the primaries, mocking in her prediction of what will happen if Barack Obama becomes president, in The International Herald Tribune.

"Former Democratic President Jimmy Carter appeared to greet former Republican President George H.W. Bush and his wife warmly, kissing Barbara Bush on the cheek.  But as Carter passed fellow Democrats Bill and Hillary Clinton, the two men did not appear to acknowledge each others presence at all. A total snub."

-- ABC News, on what happened right before the former presidents walked out for Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony.

"Nah nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye!"

-- The Democratic Voters, gathered in front of the dais when President Bush arrived, on The Hill.

"Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right."

-- Joseph Lowery, sticking it to the white man one more time during Barack Obama's benediction - which TMR predicts whites should prepare to get used to - because, clearly, that day has not arrived.

"Hillary Clinton and John Cornyn, who's delaying her floor confirmation vote have been having a fairly heated discussion just out of earshot under the Washington statue in the rotunda. Lots of hand gestures, back and forth and her squeezing his forearm."

-- Glenn Thrush, not seeing a lot of Hope 'N' Change yet, on Politico.

  1. I wonder who Rham is thumbing his nose at. This is a classic picture and one that he will probably regret.

I'm interested to see just how forceful this administration is and how long they will get a pass from the media. In the meantime, I'm going to arm myself.

Good idea: But if the swing to the Left snaps your neck you might have to let me shoot for you.
