Ideas A Nation, Fueled By Hysterics, Won't Grapple With

  1. That's because people have become hysterical in their fears which leads to hysterical beliefs.

    Honestly, they scare the ____ out of me.

    (and that is why me and organized religion -- religion of anything -- have serious issues with each other...my belief that I'm going to some sort of eternal damnation after this life not withstanding -- nonetheless in this life, the only life that I really have any sort of substantial proof of its existence, and it's well, here and mine, there's only common sense and the thinking faculties to get one through -- so I plan on sticking with the sure bet rather than trusting in the belief that the snakes won't bite me).

    besides, all it really is at the bottom of it all, is about power...so why should anyone willingly/knowingly hand over to anyone the ability to take so much power over you? lots of things already have enough power over you and yours, why give more?
