He Could Be Talking About Anybody Out There

Seriously - take out the "mad dog of the Middle East" line and this statement fits, pretty much, any nation that's known not to like us. Once we - the people of the United States - understand that, we will be able to move forward more confidently.

And by the way, about Reagan:

Is there anything he didn't accurately speak on?

  3. Write again when he mentions government's public unions stealing from the taxpayer.

You know, like the teachers in Wisconsin.

  4. I love Reagan. I also, for the most part, dislike unions. They are the reason everything is more expensive than it needs to be. I am one that believes in a fair pay for fair work, but when somebody gets $15 an hour for putting in the same screw on 100 gadgets during that hour...Seriously. I have never belonged to a union. I hope that I never have to belong to one. I think their time is up.

  5. Teachers, ambulance drivers and firefighters are the true parasites and bloodsuckers of this society.

Let us now praise our true heroes - offshore bankers, outsourcing consultants and those who repackage homeowner mortages into derivatives.

Y'know - people who create real value instead of sucking from the public teat, and then whining about health insurance.

  6. You little Marxists, with your demagogish class warfare jargon, are going to get yours. That little bit of misinformation you tried before - twisting Reagan's words to stand for something he never meant - is just the reason why your time is coming to an end:

You couldn't tell the truth if your lives depended on it.

Go on, do your worst (which is all you've got) we're on to you, Mr. Alinsky.

Reagan didn't accurately predict that his "New Federalism" would benefit stakeholders in the states who pay more to the federal government in taxes than they get back.

He was wrong that his Laffer curve/trickle-down economy would benefit the middle class.

Few would say his amnesty for illegal immigrants was a good idea.

His "welfare queen" tales were wholesale hallucinations.

It was an utter lie for him to deny he was putting arms in the hands of the enemy and a lie to say he wasn't negotiating with terrorists.

Almost 50 years later, his slippery slope argument that Medicare was going to be the end of democracy and liberty sounds almost childishly simplistic, like people who said air travel wouldn't ever be safe and sound in movies was just a fad.
